My experience at Virginia Tire and Auto of Broadlands has been just excellent. I am relatively new to the area and this is just a very well run business. The staff are very polite and answer all questions the customer may have. The work is well detailed as are all the vehicle inspection points relating to your service. This is not a high pressure business; they just politely explain your options and if you ask their opinion they will provide you with an answer--not just trying to upsell you on a service or product you don't need. I highly recommend this business as I think it builds trust with the customer.

I take both my car and my daughter's car to the Broadlands VA Tire and Auto. Both Herb and Peja are excellent to work with and extremely honest. This is not typical for most auto shops when dealing with women but both of these men are wonderful to work with. On 1/10 I had scheduled oil changes for both cars and was there for a 7:30 AM appointment. While waiting for the first car to be done, a customer came in irate and shouted expletives at Herb because a part had not come in for him. Herb was very professional and asked the man not to speak that way because there could be children in the waiting area, but the man just escalated and then left threatening to call the corporate office. If the corporate office reads this, please know that the employees handled the situation very well and calmly. The man came in angry and took it out on Herb, who remained professional and calm, defusing the situation.

I bring my car to this location specifically because they treat me with respect and do not talk down to me simply because I'm a woman. They are kind and very transparent. Down to earth and very nice staff. Always find a way to help and accommodate. I've gotten many different services done here and I highly recommend.

This was an extremely disappointing service experience. My entire morning was wasted, and all I encountered was evasion and deception. On December 18, 2025, I called this shop to inquire about replacing the tire pressure sensor on my left rear tire. During the call, I asked when I could come in, how long the replacement would take, and how much it would cost. I was told that I could come on Saturday at 8:00 a.m., that the repair would take approximately one to two hours, and that the cost would be $100 for the part and about $40 for labor. I agreed and confirmed that I would arrive at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. This morning (December 20, 2025), I arrived at the shop at the agreed time. The receptionist instructed me to park my car in the lot, leave the keys, and wait to be contacted in one to two hours once the sensor had been replaced. After waiting for two hours with no call, I noticed that my car was still parked in the same spot and had clearly not been moved. I went into the shop to ask about the status of the repair. I was told they were handling some paperwork and asked to wait another 20 minutes. After more than half an hour, I asked again and was told to wait an additional five minutes. Another thirty minutes passed before someone finally approached me, claiming to be the person who had answered my original phone call. He then presented me with a quote of $939.78, stating that additional services were required, including fluid replacement, cleaning, and replacing all four sensors. I immediately objected and reminded him that I had explicitly requested the replacement of only one sensor and no additional work. I was promised the job would be completed in one to two hours for a total cost of $140. At this point, more than three hours had passed. Not only had no work been done on my car, but I was presented with an outrageous quote more than six times the agreed price. None of the promised service times or prices were honored. This experience feels like blatant deception of the customer. It is completely unacceptable and deeply frustrating.

Absolutely do not recommend. The first time we had to get our tire changed from there -- we have staggered tires --- they put the wrong size tire on. The second time they rotated our staggered tires from front to back. The manager was not helpful at all. He said he would have to check SECURITY FOOTAGE to see the work fone. so, you are saying you do not note if tires were rotated? UNPROFESSIONAL. The girls at the front were helpful though, and Ujjwal was helpful also.

Huge regret buying tires here; I fell for a mail-in rebate that’s been rejected repeatedly. For the time & effort and extra cost, Costco, though less convenient at the time, would’ve made more sense. And shopping for tires without the extra hassle of impossible mail-in rebates will be top of mind for the next car’s tires that I’m already shopping elsewhere for. Don’t rush & don’t buy here if you can help it … there are less expensive options for the same brands they sell.

I just had my oil change & tire rotation done here. I could not be happier with the service. From beginning the process was smooth, quick and very professional! Big shout to Mr. Cavic for his warm welcome with wide smile. The rest of stuff were very knowledgeable and made sure everything else was done right. Definitely recommend this place for reliable and honest work. I am coming back defently!

Scam artists. Please do yourself a favor and read all the reviews of this place before you decide to do business here. This is clearly a pattern and I am not the first nor last they will miscommunication with and rip off. If you do unfortunately decide to do business with them, READ EVERY PAPER THEY ASK YOU TO SIGN CAREFULLY. I made an appointment for an extremely simple request; A singular faulty tire pressure sensor in the front passenger wheel, and a tire rotation. This is something I had done previously a few years back at the Herndon location. My family and I spoke to someone named Edward on the phone who set up our appointment. Everything that needed to be done WAS CLEAR and we were quoted. The only fishy part was he said the sensors needed to be ordered in pairs. This was not the case at the Herndon location, but hey, maybe things have changed? We were willing to bite the bullet to get this done so we said sure. Dropped off the truck, and signed off on the paper, not looking at the total, which is my fault and you should always read over everything, but unfortunately I gave them the benefit of the doubt and simply assumed I was being taken care of as quoted. In hindsight though this is when the employee working with me should've verbally communicated everything that was to be done with the truck as well as the total but instead silently handed me this paper to sign and said nothing. Fast forward to when my truck is ready and they call to tell me my total came out to over $600. Why? They replaced every sensor on each tire on my truck and now had me in a financial bind because i signed the paper with the total. This appointment was created solely for a singular faulty tire sensor and they took it upon themselves to replace all 4, WITHOUT calling me to consult me on whether I even wanted this done. But sadly at the end of the day, it comes down to they got my signature on the paper, and thats on me. I also called the Herndon location and they actually straight up told me that I was lied to, that sensors do not even need to be ordered in pairs. Call me crazy, but if you realize that only 1 sensor is faulty and your about to replace all 4 even though 3 are working perfectly fine, maybe call the owner of the vehicle and re-verify what needs to be done? No. They simply saw an easy extra $400 and took advantage. Disgusting. An actual terrible, sketchy business. Do not do your business here, go literally anywhere else.

Terrible slow service. Do not recommend coming unless you have absolutely no where else to go. I booked an appointment ahead of time, and was told that it would only take about an hour, but after an hour and a half they had not even started on it! They then said it would be done within the next hour, but it ended up being another additional hour and a half!

Virginia Tire did it again to me. This is the second time. Today, I was scheduled to bring my car at 1:30 pm. However, by 3:00 pm, my car was still seating in the park lot. Finally, I decided not to waste more time. I asked for the key and told them that my time is very invaluable if you can meet it. Just Don’t lie…. I would not recommend to anyone unless you have all day seating around waiting….

Virginia tire and auto especially Location. Here is the absolute best! I don’t think I will ever go anywhere else after my most recent debacle. I had gone to Hogan and Sons because I had a nail in my tire the previous day which they patched what they didn’t do was put the lug nuts back in my wheel all the way so when I left my home this morning for work, my tire was road dictating to the point where it looked like it was about to fall off, I pulled over and I noticed there were only three lug nuts left out of the five and they were almost about to fall off. I tightened the three remaining ones and called Virginia tire and auto. As busy as they were, they got me right in took a look at my tire tightened all my lug nuts and put new lug nuts in and now my vehicle is driving just as it should. Had I not gone when I did I could have ended up having a very serious car accident having my tire fall off so I cannot even begin to express my gratitude and how thankful I am for everyone at Virginia tire and auto that was so kind, gracious, helpful, quick in repairing and tightening all the lug nuts and putting the other back in. I recommend for everyone to go here and never to go to Hogan and Sons in South riding because they clearly after working on patching my tire for an hour didn’t have the fourth thought to remember to tighten the vary bolts that hold the tire onto the car!

I've been bringing my vehicles here for basic maintenance services (oil changes, filters, tires, brakes, etc.) for over ten years. It's always been a simple and straightforward experience. It's not the cheapest place for these services but less than the dealership. The waiting area is large and clean. If your bill is more than $50 and you're going within a certain radius, they'll arrange for a free one-way Lyft ride. The staff is helpful. Like any place, they'll suggest additional services to perform, but they're not pushy at all if you say no.

I visited this shop for the first time for a routine emissions test. I dropped off my car at 8 AM and was told it would be ready by noon. I received no updates, and when I called at 2 PM, I learned their emissions machine had malfunctioned, and they failed to notify affected customers. Multiple calls were met with long holds or staff unaware of my car’s status. The lack of communication and unprofessional service made this a frustrating experience. I would not recommend this location.

The Broadlands location was very professional and friendly. They also were $40 less than another garage for the tire alignment that my car needed. The service was done in a half day AND they have a deal with Lyft that if you spend $50 or more for a service, you get a one way pick up back to your house, if your car needs to be left there. Will totally use them for all my tire needs….thank you!

I brought a 20 year old truck in for inspection and they quoted me $600 to steam clean the engine because it was low on power steering fluid. Then they wanted to do further investigations. The solution was to just put more fluid in more reservoir. Other reviewers describe similar problems. Learn from our experience?

Just had my oil change and tire rotation done here, and I couldn’t be happier with the service! The whole process was smooth, quick, and professional. Big shoutout to Herbert and Eddie! These guys were awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was done right. Definitely recommend this shop if you’re looking for reliable and honest work. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Scam artists, $260 labor to change a battery if you don't buy their cheap batteries- I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and battery replacement with a battery I supplied just before Thanksgiving. I explained that I needed the battery installed - the shop ignored this and did not install the battery while they completed the oil change. When I complained and said this work is not complete, they said the oil change tech was not a high enough skill level to CHANGE A BATTERY, and that I needed to make a separate appointment for this to be completed. When I brought the vehicle in a few months later when I needed another oil change, they explained that the labor is doubled when you don't buy their extremely cheap batteries from VA Tire & Auto. Avoid this company at all costs, the store "managers" are useless and don't care - this used to be a reasonably priced company, seems management changed.

Another rip off attempt! I just recently posted a bad review for the VA tire and auto in South Riding based on my personal experience and now I have to post a similar review for what they did to my mom at this location. They recommended to my mom that she get her plugs, coils, air filter, and cabin filter replaced. They quoted her about $700. I am so glad my mom checked with me first because I just replaced all of these myself for her 5 months ago! My mom told me they even showed her an extremely dirty filter. I double checked her air filter to see if it might have somehow gotten really dirty in the past 5 months and it still looked almost brand new. This took me 2 minutes to check myself. This tells me they didn’t even bother checking if she really needed the services she recommended and showed her a fake dirty filter! Stop trying to rip off people VA Tire and Auto.

Extremely disappointed with the unprofessional and rude behavior from the staff. I called to ask about getting a tire patched, and the person on the phone was completely dismissive—refusing to answer any of my questions and simply repeating the same vague response over and over. Instead of taking a moment to let me know whether they had availability or how long it might take, I was met with attitude and zero help. I expected basic customer service and received anything but.

I took my car for inspection this morning, In few minutes they called me saying that they couldn’t find the tire lock key in the car for brakes inspection and offered me to break open and charge me for the labor which I didn’t agree, they said they will call me back after searching again in the car. I got a call in the evening saying that my car is ready for pickup. I was thinking they could find the key and finished inspection, but when I went there they said my car failed inspection because they couldn’t do the brakes inspection and they charged me for taking my car back. They could have called me to tell me that there is no key so couldn’t proceed with the inspection. They couldn’t do the inspection because of the missing key, How can they fail the inspection for that? charge me the service fee for searching the key and giving my car back? This is common sense and complete cheating. I heard several complaints about this place from friends also and suggest not going here.

Despite this, they still changed the oil and charged me the total price but offered me the $8 off coupon I also had. I would appreciate better attention to customer requests in the future.”

I took my car for emissions Inspection. 1 hour after I picked my car I found that the left door handle broken. What surprised me that it had white lotion inside, which means that some one broke it and put the lotion to build it again. When I went to the store to tell them, someone said “ all car handles have lotion since they made and this lotion can stay white forever “. My question how this lotion came inside my handle? And if it was inside since 11 years ago, how the colour didn’t change to yellow or dark beige from dust! I asked to send me video while my car was in their store. They said that they will. Second day someone called me and said that he reviewed the video while my car was there and that no one broke my car handle. I asked him to send me the video, he said that he will. But he didn’t send me. I called that number again after 2 hours, he said that I am calling wrong number. I went to the store again, they denied that they broke my car handle and said that they will not send me the video that show that no one touch my car back doors. Thank you for your response, but I believe that you have my contact information. I called several times and came to the store 2 times. Now if you want to contact me regarding fixing my car handle, you can write here. Thank you It’s 9/10/2024 and no one contacted me until now to fix the car handle.

Left car overnight to make sure I was first in line for state inspection and when I dropped it off they said it would be done first thing. Called back to see the status at 4pm and they put me on hold 12 minutes. Hung up called back they put me on hold to look for the car again and then asked to call me back. Finally they said they couldn’t find the car and it was being pulled in for oil change and then inspection would be done. Call me back at about 5 and tell me their guy had an emergency at 3pm so cannot get to it. Then why tell me it will be done after oil change? Worst customer service ever. Will never go here again.

I use VA Tires and auto for both my cars. They have been good but their online appointment system is never accurate. This time also I booked appointment on 7/3 at 7:30 AM. The desk person called me to reschedule it. He gave the appointment on 7/4 at 7:30AM. I used night drop out on 7/3. The next day they did not call. I called at 11:40 to find out they have not touched the car yet and they may be able to give me back at 2:30PM (which is when they closed on 7/4). My original request was to give me back at 1PM but I was told at 1:30. The guy (Eddie) literally lied saying I never had appointment at 7:30 it was at 11:30. I reached at 1:30 in hope that they will finish it and will try to accommodate me but they made me sit till 2:30. I am still sitting here at 2:15 and not getting my car back till 2:30. I guess they made me pay for raising concern about what I was promised.

For the 3rd time the lug nuts were overtightened and the bolt broke when getting a tire replaced in NY. I was ale to get 4 lugs off & had to be towed to a local tire shop to have the tire replaced. When I returned to VA I had the bolt replaced at a cost to me $218. The 2 previous times VA Tires did not charge me. This time because I was out of town, they charged me. I guess I was supposed to cancel the trip & have car towed to VA from NY so they could be the ones to break it off? Either lugs are overtightened or they are using defective bolts. Three times in 8 years seem excessive. The front staff said they would check & call me if they could refund the $218. No calls. Didn't really expect it. Started using them when I moved to VA in 2015. Service has steadily gone down hill unfortunately. F/U - rec'd the standard please contact us and sent the email. No response. So in the reviews it appears they care about getting more info and taking care of the issue. When in reality nothing. So finally did receive a call & they credited the $218. I did appreciate it!
