David was incredibly helpful - he clearly explained my options and the coverage protections VA Tire & Auto offers. I had several back-and-forth conversations with my dealership, and David was patient throughout, repeatedly checking with the mechanics and keeping me informed with timely updates and revised service tickets. I’ll definitely be returning, thanks to David’s exceptional customer service.

Today's visit was for my safety inspection. This location has a nice interior with wifi, which is helpful. In addition, the other day, after the snow storm, the add air to tire light came on. I was on my way to an appointment and needed to get air added quickly to make sure I was safe. I stopped by and explained. They added the air to my tires for me and got me on my way. This is an example of the little stuff they do to help their clients that keeps me coming back. Thank you so much!

Do not bring your car here. I took my car in for "check engine" repair. $1700 and 2 days later "check engine" light back on. The problem was not fixed the first time. For an additional diagnostic fee, found out it was something different entirely. Of course, cannot afford repair at this point. Sad part is they will not admit misdiagnoses nor offer any reimbursement. I basically paid to have something fixed that was not fixed. Beware!!!!

I drove in from Atlanta and something hit underneath my car and it caused an accessory to break and drag. Once I got settled, I took it to this location and Mohammed and Roberto were very helpful right from the start. If I lived in the area this would be my go to auto service shop!

TL;DR: This company charged me for an alignment that was never performed and is now requiring a $1,000 tie rod replacement to honor the service I already paid for. They charge customers even when the work is not completed. I don’t usually write reviews, but this business went above and beyond in delivering poor customer service. I paid for new tires and a wheel alignment, but the alignment was never completed. When I raised the issue, the manager, Arrington, said they would only honor the alignment if I purchased tie rod replacements through their shop. They would not allow me to replace the tie rods elsewhere. In other words, they are demanding nearly $1,000 for tie rod replacements just to perform an alignment that I already paid for and that was never done in the first place. That is unacceptable. I was also told that the technician went “above and beyond” without notifying me. Apparently, this shop has a “gray area” policy where a technician can attempt an alignment, even torching components without prior customer consent, and the company will still charge full price, even if the alignment is not completed. I’ve attached my alignment results so you can see for yourself.

Had to go here b/c the One Loudoun location doesn't do inspections on Monday. I had One Loudoun call around and this location had no wait on the oil change and 1.5 hours on inspection so I jetted over. Long story short, it was the next day that I picked up the car. I can tell this place is busy after I got here and probably would have not tried if I had known. They have a inspection line that is super long already after I got here and they later informed me that they only had 1 inspector. So waited a hour, eating breakfast at Anita's - so awesome had no idea about their breakfast burritos. Checked back twice and each time the pickup time was being pushed out from 2 hours to 3 hours to 4 hours. The oil change was eventually done at about 4pm close to closing and told them I'd pick it up the next day. Good service but really not a great experience overall. I made an appointment at the original place b/c I didn't want to wait around. Luckily I got a ride home to work. No issues with service and was able to use a coupon. Lot's of time wasted. I'd be careful with scheduling this location.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Virginia Tire & Auto. I was charged for service, yet when I brought the issue back to them, they refused to fix my car. The lack of accountability and customer care was shocking. I trusted them to handle the job properly, but instead I was left with the same problem and out the money I paid. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning.

I called to see if they could replace my wiper blades. Mohamed said they could take care of that pretty quickly. I was close by, stopped in, and don't think I was there 20min. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I want to warn anyone considering VA Tire & Auto in Dulles. They violated Virginia’s reinspection law, which states: "Reinspection of a rejected vehicle by the same station during the 15-day validity of the rejection sticker need include only a check of the items previously found defective, unless there is an obvious equipment defect that would warrant further rejection of the vehicle. Such reinspection will not constitute a complete inspection and a $1.00 fee may be charged. Furthermore, if a vehicle returns for reinspection within the 15-day period, the rejecting station will reinspect the vehicle without delay or at the reasonable conclusion of the current inspection being performed." I had to take legal action, and the court ruled in my favor, confirming the violation. Instead of "reinspecting the vehicle without delay or at a reasonable conclusion of the current inspection", they made me wait 3.5-4 hours for a 10 minute reinspection of an engine mount bracket. This experience was frustrating and completely avoidable. Be cautious before trusting this location with your vehicle.

Easy drop off and return later to have a flat replaced. Exact factory replacement for a 2024 Tacoma sr5. 310 out the door installed and spare placed back properly. Great customer service from RJ.

I had a really great experience at this service center. Went to another Virginia Tire in Ashburn and was told that they couldn’t take me until the next day. I had gotten a nail in my tire that was going flat so I needed more immediate attention. They referred me to Dulles location. Bradley took my car immediately and even let me know they could patch my tire. I was so grateful for that and he had it repaired and ready to go in 3 hours. I’m very thankful for the care and great customer service…saved my day!

So the last time I brought my car in here was for an oil change & a tire patch, I was told that I urgently needed new brakes at only 40k miles, despite the fact that the manufacturer recommends them closer to 60/70k & I hadn’t noticed any of the other signs that they needed changing (no squeaking, no difficulty braking, etc.). Turns out what I actually needed were new tires, yet VA T&A failed to mention that despite the fact that I had them working on one of them (this was corroborated by both my dealership & another mechanic shop). They also randomly recommended a laundry list of other unnecessary work, such as changing filters that had already been recently changed, & other work that was against the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance intervals by 10s of thousands of miles… so yea, don’t go there, especially if you’re a young woman with a cool car, since they clearly have no qualms about bleeding you dry for stuff you don’t need if you let them!

Back right tire was deflating and needed all 4 tires replaced. Was lucky enough they could get me in the same day. the price of the tires being incredibly high ($1400), minda sucks but what can you do? Thats what they said they had available. The young man on the phone was super patient and helpful despite all this. He guided me through their available stock and gathered all relevant information while answering any question i had, so that is very much appreciated. Dropped it off around noon. The intake process was very smooth and quick, despite there being several people in the lobby. No more than 10 minutes. Very cool. Close to 330pm I called asking for a check in to get an eta and update. I was put on hold. About 5 minutes after being on hold, my notifications for my car fill my phone about my door opening, and each tire pressure being 0. They obviously started working on it after I called. Very lame. Ive been on hold for over 30 minutes now and im still on hold as I type this. Availability: 9/10 Price: 5/10 Promptness: 2/10 Customer service: 5/10 Total 5.25/10 While i appreciate the friendly demeanor and smooth intake, its not a good look to start working after I called over 3 hours later to check in. The real grips i have is being put on hold for...47 minutes now. Update: i hung up and called back and was lucky enough to get an answer.

Today is my 3rd poor experience in the last year with this location. Took my car in for an oil change and inspection today. I was asked if I wanted a free tire rotation. When I picked up the car they over charged me. Didn’t share the charges until after I paid. When I asked why I was charged 29.99 for a tire rotation and $10 extra for an oil change, they stated that I didn’t used my VT&A credit card to pay. If I had known I would have used their card. Was then told there was nothing they could do after the charge had gone through. After a few poor experiences, I’ve found I can save 15% to 20% on repairs at other shops. Today was another experience where they overcharge. I now always compare. An $800 set of tires recently quoted at VT&A cost me $675 for the same quality tires at Costco. They are convenient but not trustworthy or competitively priced.

I had a disappointing experience with Virginia Tire and Auto. The work was done at the Ice Rink shop in Ashburn and was satisfactory. The problem came with a billing matter that required dealing with the corporation office. We were charged $3.99 more than the cost of the work. First of all, it took considerable effort just to find the phone number of the central billing office. I was told that if I waited until the statements were issued for that billing period, and paid with a direct transfer from our bank, that we could avoid the extra fee usually charged when payment is made by a credit card, for example. When the statements were posted, we went on line and paid by a direct bank transfer. But when we saw our bank statement a few days later the fee was charged anyway. I spent considerable time on the phone challenging what they did, but they were not willing to make an adjustment to our account because the bill "had already been paid." They also said that some months ago, a message went out to all account holders that those who want paper statements would be charged the fee regardless of the method of payment. But we never got a statement in the mail. The message to me was clear, that we should not trust the promises of the staff. So, I suggest that if you have any questions about a bill from them when you pick up your car, and you're not paying cash, make sure that you fully understand their charging policies and what fees you might have to pay. I for one, won't be using them again.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I’ve been dealing with this location on and off for the past 3 years, and every visit has been utterly frustrating, especially for something as simple as a state inspection. Last week, my car failed inspection for a “loose” tie rod. I had it repaired elsewhere and came back, only to be turned away because they “cut the inspection line early.” When I returned again, the wait was 3.5 to 4 hours. After finally getting in at 7:30am, when they opened, and waiting another two hours, I was told only the inner tie rod had been fixed and now the outer one needed replacing; something they never made clear initially. They just pointed to the paperwork after the fact. When I voiced my frustration, I was met with complete disrespect and attitude from the front desk staff, which led to a verbal dispute. After four visits in under two weeks, I’m done. The staff is careless, unprofessional, and clearly not concerned with customers’ time or money. I strongly recommend avoiding this place and I will NEVER be back. UPDATE: I emailed the customer service email provided under my original review on Thursday last week, going into detail about my experience at this location. I still have not received any response. Just further proved my point that there’s no care or consideration for customers here. Like I said before, I will NEVER be back.

Super slow service here, I have appointments for oil change at 1:30, I came 1:25 to check in and wait until 2:30 my car still outside, this is ridiculous, what the reason to make appointments??? For inspection I do understand first come first serve and if I have to wait for 4 hours I don’t mind, but for appointments and my car didn’t get service until 1 hour later? I asked them they said because many car have alot of issues so? My car is to do oil change I don’t have nothing to do with people who come to do their inspections!! Never ever come over here again, bad experience first and last time for me. Good luck who ever comes after me and have the same experience

I really love the team at Virginia Tire & Auto in Ice Rink Plaza! I have been coming here for many years now, and although other locations opened closer to me, I still much prefer this one. I stopped by today for my annual auto inspection. I checked in, was greeted as always in a friendly and professional manner, and relaxed in the lobby with their coffee for just a short while. Mike gave me five-star service, and the entire team is stellar! I appreciate you guys greatly!

I am writing this review out of disappointment and concern regarding my recent and past experiences with this auto service center VA tire & auto at the Ice rink plaza, Ashburn,VA. Last year, I brought my vehicle in because of a persistent squeaking sound while driving. The mechanic replaced the front brakes, but the issue was never resolved. Fast forward to today — I returned for a state inspection and again mentioned the same squeaking issue. To my surprise, I was told no sound was heard at all. This immediately raised a red flag because the sound is quite noticeable during regular driving. It left me wondering whether any serious effort, like a proper road test, was made to diagnose the issue. I know what I am hearing — this is not in my head. Additionally, during the inspection, I was told that my tie rod was bad and needed replacement or else the vehicle would fail inspection. While I agreed to the repair because I didn’t want to risk a failed inspection, I can’t help but feel uneasy now. I have never experienced any symptoms associated with tie rod issues — no steering problems, odd noises, control issues — nothing. Given the questionable attention to the squeak issue, I am now left wondering whether this repair was necessary or simply convenient for the shop. Overall, this experience was disappointing and frankly disturbing. When certified mechanics dismiss concerns without proper evaluation, they push questionable repairs. As a customer, I expect transparency, thoroughness, and professionalism — not quick dismissals and rushed judgments. I hope the shop reflects on the importance of careful diagnostics and genuine customer care. Vehicle maintenance and repair are matters of both safety and trust.

Will never return to this place as a customer. Been going here frequently over the last few years because of convenience to my home even though their prices are high. Tired of taking my car in for a routine oil change and then they try and up-sell me for at least $1,500 more “maintenance and repair”. After my last oil change they said I was due for an inspection and all the maintenance mentioned previously. I come back two weeks later to get my inspection and get the bulbs needed to pass, but they performed another oil change I never requested. On top of that they did their $45 oil change after I paid $120 for a full synthetic oil change. Can’t deal with their constant desire to get me to pay $1,500 - $2,000 every time I drop my car off and then they can’t keep track of my oil changes. They have lost my confidence and my business.

The people who work here don’t care about you or your vehicle, despite their prices being through the roof. I needed a tire patch and figured I would take my car here, so tire is in their name. I made a 9:30 appointment, which was useless, because when I got there at 9:30, they told me they’d try to have it done by noon. No point in booking an appointment, but I work nearby, so I didn’t care. They then called me and said the metal piece in my tire was too close to the sidewall and they couldn’t patch it, so I would need a new tire. I didn’t think this was the case, so I told them to leave it as is and that I would pick the truck up. I then took my truck to another shop, who is much friendlier and actually cares about their customer, and they pulled the metal out and told me it didn’t puncture the tire at all. No leaks, I was good to go, free of charge. I then brought this up to the VA T&A manager, and while he was nice, there was nothing he could do, beside believe the technician who “saw a bubble when he sprayed it.” So, to recap, there’s no point for an appointment, they’ll lie to you about what you need, they won’t actually investigate the problem, and their prices are through the roof. I’ve never had a good experience here, and this was the last straw.

I have a few issues with this facility. I’ve used them a half dozen times for convince. I live over a hour away but work about 5 minutes from this location. #1 I got an inspection and they stuck the sticker 2 inches away from their original location. So there’s glue from their previous location. #2 The washer fluid they filled freezes and I cannot use my washer fluid until the vehicle warms up from the sun. #3 No windshield sticker. I had to write down my current mileage to track when my next oil change is due. #4 The customer experience with the guys behind the front desk is sub-par. They hardly acknowledge you when you walk in the door and don’t have the greatest attitudes. I think they need to go back to the basics and practice what has made them successful when they were first starting out.

Anytime I have had any issues with my car, the people that work here always seem to go above and beyond to do their best to help me ou. Mohammad has been especially wonderful to work with. He has always been honest and upfront with me. I trust him and his team with my family cars. They even helped me get my engined replaced when it ceased up on my Hyundai. They told me to call Hyundai since I was the original owner, and it should be under warranty. They were correct! I got my engine replaced completely for free. They didn't take advantage of me and helped me out instead. Can't say enough good things about the employees at this location.

I Take back my good review. Recommended a radiator, found by a coolant leak test (I did not ask for it). they did NOT top off coolant AND left 3 of the 4 screws hanging from my grill. Horrible workmanship, will never go back.

What a great experience I had at the Dulles location. Brian took my request at the service desk and was very courteous and attentive to my automotive needs. The entire staff was friendly and very professional from start to finish and the ASE Certified tech completed the work in a very reasonable amount of time and never recommended any services not needed. Their customer lounge was very clean and comfortable and I was updated on the status of my car as I waited. I would highly recommend Virginia Tire and Auto for all of your automotive needs.

Had a flat tire and was using full-size spare. Took the flat tire in to see if it is repairable. Originally scheduled a next day appointment. Talked to Jose and suggested that I could walk-in. There was leak in the tire seal and decided to have the tire replaced; it was done when the tire was delivered the next day

Went in to get my tire patched, was told that it was unpatchable and that I needed to order two new tires, with a while alignment which my total came out to approximately $900. I took it to another shop and they were able to patch my tire for $30 and had no problem. This place just wants to take your money instead of actually trying to help their customers.

I have tried all of the other local tire shops and this particular Virginia Tire and Auto in Dulles is especially pleasant to deal with. The staff are always honest and communicative. I check online and their prices are always competitive. Oil change and inspection are my favorites.

I have been coming to this location for years until they opened the one at one Loudoun. Dropping by at another store I saw no line for emissions so decided to bring my car in. Rob who is very senior and I know for years ( he probably doesn’t remember me) did the order and I mentioned I didn’t have the coupon with me. Normally the one Loudoun Location would still give me the discount ( we have several we bring in) and Ron would not without the actually coupon. Very disappointed . So highly recommend the One Loudoun location for much better customer service UPDATE Mgmt reached out and had Jason call me with an apology and voucher . Impressed with this fast response and definitely will continue taking all my cars . Gave it 4 starts from initial 3
