I would never recommend this place. I went here for inspection and I was told that a bunch of work needed done. That work entitled new calibers, new brakes and rotors, and a new control arm. I can do all this work myself. So I said no and took it home and did it myself. I bled the brake system. I installed the new calipers in the new rotors and nothing felt different. It felt the exact same except now I have new brakes and rotors. Also while doing this job I inspected the front control arm and NOTHING was wrong with it. I only went here to get an inspection and ended up spending over $600 in parts that were NOT necessary. My car is sat in my driveway for 2 weeks while the parts were being ordered for no reason. I will never go to this garage and I recommend you to not go here if you want to save money. DO NOT LET THERE RESPONSE FOOL YOU. NO REPAIRS WHERE NECESSARY TO PASS INSPECTION.

I had to wait a bit for inspection to be done, but the conversation with Mr.Talley made it fly by!! Definitely bring your vehicle in for service or inspection.

5 star customer service!! This was my first visit , I read reviews saying to arrive super early & now I know why they get packed fast. This shop builds a relationship with their customers & get the job done! Everyone other than me, had been going there for awhile and now I'll be returning also.

🗑 service!! Go to the Hispanic shop down the road for any tire service. They basically took a hour to change and replace one tire! Told me one price then mysteriously added "Service fees" and didn't even dispose my old tire.

I've never given a review, it's well needed with so many shops do boshed jobs compared to Talley Auto no complaints

Been going here for the past 5 years for an inspection. And I absolutely love them so nice and the whole staff is so honest and pleasant thank you guys so much. See you next year

Just kind of curious why I purchase the car from the somebody that was inspected there the month prior... I take it to a mechanic and they say it's no legal way that car could have passed inspections with bad tie rods along with a bunch of other stuff. 1-star review for predatory practices. I was charged $302 to get my vehicle off their lot for tow and 1 day storage. It was stolen and and recovered by HPD, Talleys picked it up from 2.3 miles away (6 min). According to Code of Virginia section 46.2-1209, you do not pay towing or storage fees for stolen vehicles. Even if that wasn’t the case, $302 for 2.6 mile tow and less than a day is excessive and predatory. Henrico PD should cancel any existing contracts they have with this company immediately until they stop further victimizing vehicle owners. Civil lawsuit will be filed.

Talley's Is one of the LAST "Old School" Repair Shops, that still believes in Quality, Economy and Value. And they aren't just some Business here, They are Friends and Neighbors. Just stop by ANY Day and see how Crowded they are, Lol ! And if you get there 1st in Line in the Morning, and IF the Work you need done is 'Do-able', you'll get your Vehicle Back that Day. Their Mechanics are Pro's, Bruce is my Favorite, but they are ALL Top Notch !!

Talley's is by far the best shop you can find in Richmond! They do excellent work and take really good care of you and your vehicle! I don't trust anyone else with my vehicles!

This place was a recommendation and a good experience for me! Went for a state inspection. Process was easy. Seem to be a no frills, straight up kind of place which I can appreciate. Small local mechanic so I'd suggest dropping off your car and coming back if you can swing that!

Took my wife's car to them this morning at 8am. Was told that the rear brakes would be replaced today. I will have to take another day off of work tomorrow because they still have her car. I hope that it will be done tomorrow. If not, I will be writing another review.

These guys are like family! Great, honest vehicle care to make sure you are taken care of! They take good care of your vehicle like it's their own, if it's in the shop for repair or needing a tow! If you want honest work - this is the place to go! Highly recommend :)

Total scam!!!! They were supposed to bring my car to the dealer when it was in a wreck. But because they were "closed"(wreck was in evening), they took it to their yard. Then their truck conveniently broke the next morning. So they charged an additional fee for bringing it to their yard and an additional storage fee for being there an extra day. Then told me I had to either pay storage by the day(two additional days) until their truck was fixed AND an extra tow fee for it to be brought to the dealer OR I had to pay ANOTHER tow company to come and get it, but oh they need to get it by 5pm today, or they are charging even more storage!! I offered to let it stay there until their truck was fixed and pay them what the original bill would have been had they dropped it off as instructed Monday. I felt that was fair as it wasn't my fault he decided to take it to his lost instead of the dealer, nor was it my fault his truck broke. Why should I be paying extra for that? They said no way, pay up and send someone else, or pay more and wait for him to deliver! Crooks!

I wouldn't even give them 1 star!! Beware of mechanics like this that scam! My wife took her vehicle there to get serviced. They were nice at first to reel in her business; but once in, they tamper with your vehicle. They told my wife her vehicle was ready for pick up. When she called for pricing 3 hours later on her break after receiving the message, they told her she would need more expensive work done. That was AFTER they told her the vehicle was all done and ready for pick up! The following day, after we waited for tires to be put on (which were not ready by pick up time stated), what do you know: MORE WORK WAS NEEDED! Now the airbag light was on and she was told it would not pass inspection. They tampered with the electrical in her vehicle and would not help her get it fixed failing her inspection after $900 of work and 6 days of off an on "your cars ready" oh nevermind it needs more work. I called to inquire about the airbag as the airbag light was never on prior to them receiving vehicle. A man yelled at me on the phone screaming " WELL YOU TELL ME WHY THE AIRBAGS ON? IM TELLING YOU ITS ON AND WE AINT GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT". Upon him yelling I drove up there to see what the issues were and why he was so upset. When I entered the shop a lady went to grab him from the back and he proceeded to yell and told me i could not get any paperwork from the vehicle until I paid (which was the proof that the vehicle was just looked at and airbag light was off). He told me to get off his property and not to return because it wasn't my vehicle. Although it was my wife's vehicle and she works past their closing time. They are RACIST, THEY WILL OVER CHARGE AND TAKE EVERY CENT AND KEEP YOUR VEHICLE!!! BLACK PATRONS PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE!!! SHOP ELSEWHERE!! Every customer deserves respect!!

These are real business people, they got me in and out in no time. And they don't try to get over on women! I'm a Muslim woman and they treated me just as I wanted to be treated( like they would treat anyone else). Love this place! I recommend everyone to come!

I called, them told me "Sure, come on in!" Got there and was helped IMMEDIATELY by Mrs. Talley! I was done shortly thereafter. You see, I was turned down by 4 other service centers today. Not only did Talleys provide the exact service I needed, but they made me feel like this is who I want taking care of my car! Thanks again

Honest Work and Fair Pricing Auto Repairs... a Rarity In This Line Of Business ! You can Trust them to repair your Vehicle...Oh And did i mention Fast ! Had my Timing Belt & Water pump done on my Honda in less than 24 hrs they took my car right in and and Knocked it out !

Great people to deal with, very outgoing! Family business that is down to earth and gives you honest prices. Clean environment, state of the art tow trucks that are kept up and clean when you get in them! Would recommend to family & friends.

Everyone there was very helpful and went out of their way to assist me with my repairs and towing. The owner was very understanding about my situation and willing to work with me so my experience there was pleasant. Their work was excellent and they are very knowledgeable and professional. Their prices are very reasonable. I will continue to rely on them to take care of my vehicle and me. They have one of the best mechanics in the area and their towing services are timely and courteous.

I needed an inspection after another local shop tried to screw me over with some BS repair work that wasn't needed. Talley's got me in and out in the same day, sent me on my way a happy man. I will be recommending and bringing my business to them for the foreseeable future! A+ for their honesty!
