The team was very thorough and professional explaining the details of their findings on my wife’s car, I’d recommend them to anyone

I got stuck in a messy situation with my truck when I was visiting Arlington. A fried battery have us all convinced that the starter was the issue. Having it towed to Arlington auto care, the team there was very quick and thorough and honest. Getting to work on my car a day earlier than thought, Doing a step-by-step diagnostic to find where the issue was, And most importantly, holding back on work that I had already approved, once they deemed it was not necessary. Saving me $1000.
Huge shout out to Kevin working the front desk. He is extremely polite and accommodating. And another shout out to the technician in the back, Prince. He had the Patience and experience to double and triple check all of the issues so that we knew I had a sound truck to get back to Charleston,South Carolina.Feb 04, 2026 -
Great customer service. It was a busy day for emission testing but they were very organized helping expedite the process. Staff members were very friendly and helpful.

I love Arlington autocare and go there for pretty much anything. What really sold me is when I took my car in for an emissions check one day and it was discovered that my PCV valve assembly needed to be replaced. Normally this would have cost thousands of dollars, but the guys here found a warranty that allowed me to get it replaced for free at the dealership. They could have easily charged me thousands of dollars to do it themselves but didn’t and really respected the honesty. Thank you guys!

I will not be returning as a customer after my experience over the past week.
My car wouldn’t start. The team replaced the starter and it didn’t fix the problem. I was charged $590 for the starter and labor. I was then told that I would have to pay another $500 minimum to figure out what was wrong with my car plus whatever service needed to be done to actually fix the problem. I know nothing about cars so I had my dad speak to the mechanic. They came to the conclusion that the problem might actually be my key which ultimately solved the problem.
Overall, I was scammed out of $590 for a part that didnt work and was about to be scammed out of hundreds of dollars more had my dad not stepped in.
I feel that I was taken advantage of because I do not know much about cars. I feel that this issue could have been resolved had Arlington autocare followed any basic diagnostic protocol prior to installing a part based on the limited information I was able to provide.
Additionally, the manner in I was spoken to on the phone was unprofessional at best and was lacking any accountability. When I raised concerns about being charged for a part that didn’t fix the problem, I was met with an ultimatum, either pay for the service or not get my car back.
I will not be returning or recommending this company to anyone.Jan 23, 2026 -
I was in dire straits and needed to get a tire replaced and David was an absolute Godsend. He was courteous, immensely helpful, professional and replaced my tire in under 24 hours for a great price! Highly recommend!

I've been taking all my cars to Arlington Autocare for about a decade and have always had a good experience. They are attentive, responsible, fast, and honest. They explain everything well, and I don't feel like they're trying to sell me some service/parts I don't need. They also maintain good communication, letting me know if there's an issue, what they're working on, and when my car is going to be ready/is ready. I'm satisfied with their work and will keep taking my cars to be serviced there.

I had Arlington Autocare put tires on my car, and they did a fantastic job. In addition to the work, they also cleaned all the brake dust off of the wheels. That little extra was a nice touch.

Excellent service! Mohamed was clear and communicative throughout the process. It ended up being expensive but all things considered it was fair. Highly recommended!

Arlington Autocare got parts for my car near 6PM on the Friday after Christmas and fixed a crankshaft issue at a very reasonable price on Saturday. AMAZING! This allowed me to drive 400 miles South to be with my family on Sunday. I doubt the dealer would have done that on my Ford Explorer. Both Manny and Christian were most helpful and attentive in putting me back in my car, and FAST!
Thanks to all. Happy New Year.Jan 01, 2026 -
I brought my vehicle here for two things:
1. to replace the front and rear calipers, brake pads, and rotors because a caliper was stuck and making a scraping sound, and
2. to have an engine rattle diagnosed (likely the catalytic converter).
I brought my own parts for the repair (pads, rotors, and calipers) and described exactly what the noise was and what I believed it likely to be.
I returned two days later to pick up the car and asked for the diagnosis before paying. The technician told me he diagnosed the rattling sound as the scraping noise coming from my back tires, where the calipers were stuck. This was clearly not something I needed diagnosed, as I had brought in new calipers specifically for that repair and had described the noise as a rattling sound coming from the front of the car. The technician argued with me for some time before finally agreeing to refund the $130 he charged me to “diagnose” the very issue I brought the car in for in the first place.
Worse than that, I got in the car and, about a mile down the road, could feel the back passenger tire wobbling. I exited the main highway into a neighborhood, got out, and discovered the lug nuts were loose enough to turn with my fingers. The tire was about to fall off completely. I parked the car in the neighborhood, left the hazards on, and had to walk all the way back to the shop.
Once there, the same technician got into a shouting match with me in the parking lot. When I asked for a refund, he told me, “You need to talk to God about that—I’m not giving you one.” At no point did anyone apologize for the unsafe condition of the vehicle or offer to make the situation right in any way.
After watching the technician check my rotors to make sure they weren’t warped and reinstall the tire properly, I again asked for a refund and was told absolutely not. I asked to speak to a manager, at which point one employee told me the manager was gone while another said he was in the back. I was then given two business cards—one for a manager and one for someone he said was the owner—and told that if I wanted to discuss a refund for the bad work, the serious safety oversight, or the two hours of my time that were wasted, I would need to contact them directly.
At no point during this entire experience did anyone take responsibility, apologize, or offer any form of remediation.
I could not recommend strongly enough that you steer clear of Arlington Auto.Dec 20, 2025 -
Get here around 7:45am if you want to be at the front of the line. If there’s 2 cars in line already, then park in the parking spot next to it until there’s room for you (only room for 2 cars at a time). Overall good experience, they’re attentive and will answer questions.

Excellent customer service. Honest about my needs for the car in the next 3-6 months, providing a quote without pushing the service immediately. Vehicle inspections are always quick. Oil change estimated time was accurate.

Kristoff is extremely tentative to his customers. Whenever I have an emergency they always get me in as soon as possible and communicate with me while they have my vehicle. I’ve been coming here for a year and as a woman it’s great not having to think so much when coming to the mechanic and trust your car is in good hands haha. Thank you!

Great. Very nice people here. I was surprised to replace a bulb during an inspection was 20$. But they hooked the military discount. So I cannot complain. Front desk are nice too. Will be going back again.

Great service, very happy with the extensive repairs that were done on our older car. I really appreciate Charles, who did a comprehensive comparison before we had the work done of the recommended repairs another auto repair place had given us. The price came out much lower with Arlington Autocare. And it was all done in one day. Much appreciated!

I was in the Washington DC area over the weekend and had a flat tire on Sunday morning. The folks at Arlington auto care were able to get me in to the shop immediately and had a replacement tire in stock that I could use to get home. I am so grateful to David Johnson and the entire staff at Arlington auto care. They were all professional, kind, speedy, and efficient, And helped to make sure that I could get back on the road to New York State safely. Thank you David Johnson and the whole team at Arlington Auto Care.

Service was good. Wish communication was a bit better. I was told they would call me with a diagnosis in 30 min and the entire process would be about an hour. They never called so I went back after an hour and at that point they told me I needed a new battery and it would take an additional hour. So the whole process took two hours when I was told it would take one.

I’ve been a customer of Arlington Auto Care since I moved to the area 13 years ago. In that time I’ve had dozens of appointments ranging from an oil change to multiple tire replacements. I’ve never once felt lied, cheated on, or taken advantage of. They have my full trust and I appreciate that they don’t price gauge like dealerships. If you want a trusty group of mechanics look no further

I’ve been bringing my vehicle to this shop since 2016/2017 and have never had a bad experience. The prices are always fair, the staff is friendly and professional, and the quality of work is excellent. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for reliable service.

I needed brake booster replaced in XC90. I decided to bring my car based on my phone interaction with JP, explained everything perfectly. Seems fixed well, only issue was upon pickup, my brake paddle was loose and rattled while driving. I feel like if the tech who test drove it should have noticed. It was fixed after about a 30 min wait. 5star review if it were not for that hiccup.

The technicians I spoke to and worked with were very honest. I brought my car to them for a second opinion and they confirmed that the previous shop recommended unnecessary work on top of work I did need and at the fraction of the price without sacrificing quality. They are very reasonably priced and have been honest and explain the work they did to you so you understand what is going on with your car, for those inquiring minds like myself. Honesty brings loyal customers who will recommend more business via word of mouth.
Thank you to Cristoff, Mohammad, and Pierre for helping me.Sep 24, 2025 -
I got a walk-in safety inspection here and had a really great experience! All of the employees I interacted with were patient and kind, and they were happy to explain everything to me and generally go out of their way to be helpful and provide advice. I never felt talked down to, and I paid exactly what the (very affordable) displayed price was. I will definitely be returning to this location for all future car needs!

Went in for an inspection on Saturday. The line was about 5 cars so figured it would take awhile but they moved quickly! They say about 10-15 mins per car so get there early! I got there at 7:50 and was 5 in line! Great inspection and customer service! Would not take my car anywhere else for repairs!

This is my second time here since buying my Tesla. First time, they identified my bent wheel issues and plugged my tire, as well helping me choose a new set of four tires. They are very communicative, and super fast! Now back for my VA state inspection. Four cars in front of me, first come, first served like all places in VA that don't take appointments for this.

I had a very pleasant visit to Arlington Autocare. I was impressed by the professionalism of the staff. I brought in my car (New Beetle) for emissions and state inspections, as well as a headlight replacement. They answered my many questions thoroughly and respectfully. I had expected the entire headlight assembly would need replacing, but they were able to fix it by simply changing the bulb, saving me quite a bit. I’m happy to have found a place I can return to in the future.

This place is great! I’ve been going to them for 7 years and never had issues. They make sure I’ve got all the routine maintenance complete for my older car (2012 Toyota) without overselling things that I don’t need. The front desk is friendly and knowledgeable and answers all my questions, and the prices are very reasonable and clearly explained. Over the years, I’ve had oil changes, batteries, tires, brakes, sensors, air filters, inspections, and AC fixes all from them, and I’ve never had an issue with parts not lasting or bad workmanship. If you’re looking for a great neighborhood mechanic, this is the place to go!

I had an amazing experience at Arlington Auto Care on Wilson Blvd last Sunday. I had a slow leak in one of my tires, which I had to inflate twice during the week. I made an appointment for noon, but unfortunately couldn’t make it on time. I called to let them know, and they told me to come by anyway — even though they close at 4 PM.
I showed up around 3:30 PM, and the place was still busy with several people waiting. I thought I’d have to come back another day — but that’s when Mohamed stepped in like the Sherlock Holmes of auto repair. He checked my tire right away, identified the problem within seconds, and immediately asked another technician, Omar, to fix the puncture.
Omar got the job done in under 15 minutes, while they continued assisting other customers. Not only were they fast and professional — they were friendly, calm, and extremely efficient under pressure. And the best part? When I went to pay, Mohamed told me there was no charge. He said, “Don’t worry about it — it’s on us.”
I’ve never received that kind of treatment at any tire or auto shop in my life.
If you're in Arlington and need fast, honest, and generous service, go to Arlington Auto Care, and ask for Mohamed and Omar. They’ve earned my full trust — and this glowing review.Jul 31, 2025 -
first of all they are overpriced. second when they're done with their work, i noticed some extremely rough idling. they refused to take a second look at it, so i checked it by myself. turned out that they left a piece of wood next to my engine.
UPDATE: they acknowledged the problem and solved it. they also informed me that when i first picked up the car they overcharged me for $150 and they now corrected thatJul 30, 2025 -
This store is a piece of art—in all the wrong ways.
1. Safety negligence: When my partner picked up my car, it was shaking heavily. My partner asked for another inspection on the spot, but they dismissed his concerns and claimed it was “normal.”
2. Carelessness: After driving home, my partner and I discovered a piece of wood left lodged between the engine and the frame—most likely the cause of the shaking. We returned to the shop and insisted they take responsibility, which they reluctantly acknowledged.
3. Dishonest billing: They charged us for a new valve cover that was never installed. The second time we went back to the store, we asked for a partial refund due to the mechanic’s mistake. The next day, the manager called and offered a refund—but only for the valve cover, not for the issue caused by the piece of wood. So, one mistake was addressed while the other was ignored!
This shop shows a consistent pattern of negligence, carelessness, and questionable billing practices. I would not recommend trusting them with your vehicle—or your money.Jul 30, 2025
