Arlington Autocare was a great experience. They clearly explained my car’s needs and gave me a quick timeline and they were more affordable.

I was in the Washington DC area over the weekend and had a flat tire on Sunday morning. The folks at Arlington auto care were able to get me in to the shop immediately and had a replacement tire in stock that I could use to get home. I am so grateful to David Johnson and the entire staff at Arlington auto care. They were all professional, kind, speedy, and efficient, And helped to make sure that I could get back on the road to New York State safely. Thank you David Johnson and the whole team at Arlington Auto Care.

Service was good. Wish communication was a bit better. I was told they would call me with a diagnosis in 30 min and the entire process would be about an hour. They never called so I went back after an hour and at that point they told me I needed a new battery and it would take an additional hour. So the whole process took two hours when I was told it would take one.

Juan Benites is a PRO! Took care of me and my car, made the process seamless, and when things didn’t go as planned stepped in to fix all problems! Super service, great personal touch. Will now make this my go to auto shop!

Perfect immediate service to fix an automatic drivers window that had slipped off the track and WOULD BOT close. Can’t have an open window in any city much less DC. Car was ready as promised at 6pm

I’ve been a customer of Arlington Auto Care since I moved to the area 13 years ago. In that time I’ve had dozens of appointments ranging from an oil change to multiple tire replacements. I’ve never once felt lied, cheated on, or taken advantage of. They have my full trust and I appreciate that they don’t price gauge like dealerships. If you want a trusty group of mechanics look no further

I’ve been bringing my vehicle to this shop since 2016/2017 and have never had a bad experience. The prices are always fair, the staff is friendly and professional, and the quality of work is excellent. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for reliable service.

I needed brake booster replaced in XC90. I decided to bring my car based on my phone interaction with JP, explained everything perfectly. Seems fixed well, only issue was upon pickup, my brake paddle was loose and rattled while driving. I feel like if the tech who test drove it should have noticed. It was fixed after about a 30 min wait. 5star review if it were not for that hiccup.

The technicians I spoke to and worked with were very honest. I brought my car to them for a second opinion and they confirmed that the previous shop recommended unnecessary work on top of work I did need and at the fraction of the price without sacrificing quality. They are very reasonably priced and have been honest and explain the work they did to you so you understand what is going on with your car, for those inquiring minds like myself. Honesty brings loyal customers who will recommend more business via word of mouth. Thank you to Cristoff, Mohammad, and Pierre for helping me.

I got a walk-in safety inspection here and had a really great experience! All of the employees I interacted with were patient and kind, and they were happy to explain everything to me and generally go out of their way to be helpful and provide advice. I never felt talked down to, and I paid exactly what the (very affordable) displayed price was. I will definitely be returning to this location for all future car needs!

Went in for an inspection on Saturday. The line was about 5 cars so figured it would take awhile but they moved quickly! They say about 10-15 mins per car so get there early! I got there at 7:50 and was 5 in line! Great inspection and customer service! Would not take my car anywhere else for repairs!

I have never been disappointed. They are great. I have been driving for over 50 years so many service experiences in different towns and states. The employees are smart and polite and prices fair.

This is my second time here since buying my Tesla. First time, they identified my bent wheel issues and plugged my tire, as well helping me choose a new set of four tires. They are very communicative, and super fast! Now back for my VA state inspection. Four cars in front of me, first come, first served like all places in VA that don't take appointments for this.

I had a very pleasant visit to Arlington Autocare. I was impressed by the professionalism of the staff. I brought in my car (New Beetle) for emissions and state inspections, as well as a headlight replacement. They answered my many questions thoroughly and respectfully. I had expected the entire headlight assembly would need replacing, but they were able to fix it by simply changing the bulb, saving me quite a bit. I’m happy to have found a place I can return to in the future.

This place is great! I’ve been going to them for 7 years and never had issues. They make sure I’ve got all the routine maintenance complete for my older car (2012 Toyota) without overselling things that I don’t need. The front desk is friendly and knowledgeable and answers all my questions, and the prices are very reasonable and clearly explained. Over the years, I’ve had oil changes, batteries, tires, brakes, sensors, air filters, inspections, and AC fixes all from them, and I’ve never had an issue with parts not lasting or bad workmanship. If you’re looking for a great neighborhood mechanic, this is the place to go!

I’ve been coming to Arlington Autocare for 2 years now and received great service each time I’ve come. Last time I was there, an honest mistake was made that prevented me from using my car for an extra couple days. This mistake was quickly rectified by the team at Arlington Autocare - they identified a solution to the mistake and made up for the mistake by taking care of the bill for the service. From my experience, the team provides top notch customer service and I will absolutely be coming back in the future.

Poor Workmanship and Questionable Honesty – Read Before You Go I’ve gotten two oil changes from this shop, and both visits have left me questioning their honesty and workmanship. On my first visit, they quoted me for an “oil leak” and suggested replacing the entire oil pan — which seemed excessive. On my second visit, they told me the drain plug was “hard to remove” and claimed the threads were stripped and that the entire oil pan will once again have to be replaced, which is a considerably costly job due to labor (not necessarily the parts). This didn’t make sense since they had already changed the oil before. Today, I changed my own oil and found the real issue: they had installed the wrong O-ring on the drain plug, causing oil to leak since their last service. The threads were perfectly fine — meaning their “stripped thread” story was false. I will not be returning. If you value honest diagnostics and quality work, I recommend going elsewhere.

Arlington Autocare has been taking care of my car for 7+ years. They have always been nice, timely, reasonable, fast, and thorough. My car has over 110,000 miles on it and with their maintenance, the only things I’ve had to get fixed are breaks and tires- they’ve never tried to get me to do unnecessary things (my dad is a mechanic in another state so I always call him to confirm any car recommendation I’m given).

I brought my car here for AC service and was charged $230 for a refrigerant recharge, but the shop did not perform a proper leak test before adding refrigerant. Instead, they added UV dye with the freon and told me to come back later if it stopped cooling so they could check for leaks. The AC stopped cooling less than 10 minutes after I left, which should have made it obvious there was a bigger issue, yet I had to go out of my way to call and follow up. The website says AC service should take about an hour, but my appointment took two hours with no update. I expected the shop to confirm the system could hold refrigerant before charging me for it, which is standard practice at many other places. Between the lack of up-front communication, the higher-than-average cost, and the extra time spent, I’ve decided to take my car elsewhere for the follow-up work.

Arlington Autocare was readily available for my car’s needs and got me in the same day as I arrived. Took about an hour and a half, but was reasonable given the same-day turnaround. They were patient and very kind and I appreciated their help!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star I had an amazing experience at Arlington Auto Care on Wilson Blvd last Sunday. I had a slow leak in one of my tires, which I had to inflate twice during the week. I made an appointment for noon, but unfortunately couldn’t make it on time. I called to let them know, and they told me to come by anyway — even though they close at 4 PM. I showed up around 3:30 PM, and the place was still busy with several people waiting. I thought I’d have to come back another day — but that’s when Mohamed stepped in like the Sherlock Holmes of auto repair. He checked my tire right away, identified the problem within seconds, and immediately asked another technician, Omar, to fix the puncture. Omar got the job done in under 15 minutes, while they continued assisting other customers. Not only were they fast and professional — they were friendly, calm, and extremely efficient under pressure. And the best part? When I went to pay, Mohamed told me there was no charge. He said, “Don’t worry about it — it’s on us.” I’ve never received that kind of treatment at any tire or auto shop in my life. If you're in Arlington and need fast, honest, and generous service, go to Arlington Auto Care, and ask for Mohamed and Omar. They’ve earned my full trust — and this glowing review.

first of all they are overpriced. second when they're done with their work, i noticed some extremely rough idling. they refused to take a second look at it, so i checked it by myself. turned out that they left a piece of wood next to my engine. UPDATE: they acknowledged the problem and solved it. they also informed me that when i first picked up the car they overcharged me for $150 and they now corrected that

This store is a piece of art—in all the wrong ways. 1. Safety negligence: When my partner picked up my car, it was shaking heavily. My partner asked for another inspection on the spot, but they dismissed his concerns and claimed it was “normal.” 2. Carelessness: After driving home, my partner and I discovered a piece of wood left lodged between the engine and the frame—most likely the cause of the shaking. We returned to the shop and insisted they take responsibility, which they reluctantly acknowledged. 3. Dishonest billing: They charged us for a new valve cover that was never installed. The second time we went back to the store, we asked for a partial refund due to the mechanic’s mistake. The next day, the manager called and offered a refund—but only for the valve cover, not for the issue caused by the piece of wood. So, one mistake was addressed while the other was ignored! This shop shows a consistent pattern of negligence, carelessness, and questionable billing practices. I would not recommend trusting them with your vehicle—or your money.

These guys are the best! Chaz and Manny are both amazing - they make every visit smooth and simple. The mechanics are on point and work super quickly! Dropped my car off for service on a busy afternoon and had it back by the evening.

I dropped my car off I the morning and was able to pick it up same day. They were very communicative calling and providing an update on what was found, estimated cost and time for pick up. All staff I spoke to were very kind, will definitely be coming back!

Terrible shop. Every time you call in, be prepared for a 20 minute wait while they go run around the shop to figure out what is going on with your vehicle. Also, be prepared that they will fleece you for their mistakes: they did extra work on the car prior to insurance approval, and marked the repairs done and invoice complete, so you end up having to pay the cost since you have to return your rental and can't wait for insurance company to adjust.

I can’t say enough great things about Arlington Auto Care! I am the proud owner of a car that has a tendency to have an issue every six months. And the folks over at Arlington Auto Care have fixed every single one. I find the pricing to be super fair, they are extremely quick and the best part is they’re truly a joy to work with. They follow up with updates a ton and do anything to make sure you’re up and running quickly with real dealership parts. I’ve worked with Mohamed & Manuel and they’ve been fantastic. 10/10!

Our prior experiences with Arlington Autocare were positive, this last experience ensured we will not return. Dropped our only vehicle off on June 2 because the check engine light had come on. It was running well at that time. It took two days and being told to “call back tomorrow” when my husband called to check on status/timing to get information about what was going on. Bad ignition coil(s), would take a little time to order them in because it’s an older vehicle with a slightly unusual engine. Okay, no big deal. We made repeated calls to check on progress because it’s our only vehicle - got another “call back tomorrow”, left on hold long enough the call disconnected, and multiple occurrences of the phone ringing a dozen times or more without anyone picking up during business hours. Finally my husband reached someone and told them he needed to get the vehicle back. At that point they said they had done the repair but something was still wrong. Frankly, after all the runaround, we did not trust them to continue “working” on it anyway. My husband paid the $1700 charge and picked the truck up on June 18, two and a half weeks after dropping it off, and it ran very rough. He got it home and when he tried to start it the next day to take it to a different shop, it wouldn’t start at all. Got it jumped and took it to another shop in Arlington, which let us know within a business day that Arlington Autocare had installed one of the ignition coils incorrectly and they resolved the issue by…correctly installing the part. Whatever happened at Arlington Autocare also completely killed the battery, so we also have to buy a new battery too. It looks like other people have had the same issues recently (June 2025) with poor communication and improper repairs. Not sure if it’s a change in management or an entirely new staff in the front and in the garage, but management/ownership should be ashamed of the quality of work this shop is doing at this point in time. The amount of time they kept our vehicle and dodged us when we wanted to know when we could get it back was a little ridiculous; charging us $1700 for a repair they didn’t do correctly and that we’re now going to have to pay someone else to fix is completely unreasonable.
