Awesome full service shop. Robbie and his team are smart, efficient, and honest. Extremely polite and respectful customer service. Robbie takes the time to answer my questions over the phone even if I decide to hold off on scheduling service. Just call well ahead of when you want an appointment, as they are often busy. This isn’t a discount shop but I’d rather pay for an expert and thorough mechanic who keeps my vehicle safe and running for a long time. Glad I found a great shop in the area!
Based on past reviews, this shop seemed reputable, so I went in for tire replacement and an alignment. The following day after I picked my car, the car began making unusual noises, which worsened by the next day. When I returned to report the issue, staff brushed it off and told me to bring the car back several days later.
Concerned, I took my vehicle to a different shop the same day. There, I was informed that one lug nut was completely missing and one of the newly installed tires was so loose it was a miracle I hadn't been in an accident. This is not a minor oversight--this was a serious safety hazard.
When I informed Robbie of these findings, instead of offering an apology or accountability, he suggested that someone had tried to "steal my tire." The timing and circumstances speak for themselves: the issue began immediately after their service.
I will not be returning to this establishment, and I strongly caution others to think carefully before trusting them with their vehicle. A mistake of this magnitude puts lives at risk.
I'd like to sincerely thank Robbie for helping me and my husband out in a pinch. We were on the way to our honeymoon when our car started making a strange noise. Turns out the engine splash shield had partially fallen off and was dragging on the road. The first auto shop we stopped by could not fit us in and turned us away. When we visited D&V Service Center next, Robbie was able to see us right away and zip tie the splash shield temporarily so that it wouldn't drag. Worked like a charm and we were able to make it to our honeymoon and back without worry. Thank you so much, Robbie!

They’ve looked out for me financially only recommending necessary work as well as from a safety perspective to make sure critical work was done first regardless of whether that made them the most money. I’ve sent more than 10 people to D&V and everyone of them has had the same experience. You will not regret giving them your business.
These guys are amazing and super honest! My car was making a horrible rattling/grinding noise, and I was all set to to pay a large bill. Turns out the problem was a trivial fix, and the bill was less than $50. They were so nice and if I have future car trouble (real or imagined) I’ll definitely come back here.
Went in with a "Stabilitrak" problem and wanted to avoid the dealer. They were able to fix it no problem and do a whole pile of overdue maintenance work. Not sure how much I saved over the dealer, but it must have been a lot. They are a small shop so it took a few days to get on their books--worth the wait.
D and V was fast, reasonable, and honest! They were able to diagnose the problem with my alternator, source the part, and install it in the same day. I am new to the area and found them on Google Maps. After reading the reviews, I felt like they were my best bet. I will be using them for any needed services moving forward!
D & V has been my auto mechanic for many years. Very quality work at very reasonable prices. Most importantly, I trust them to diagnose and fix my vehicles honestly, efficiently, and effectively.
Update #1: Went back to D&V with vibration when braking at highway speeds after the initial brake repair. I will not go into all the problems that arose during that visit, but Robbie and his team managed to eventually get my car back to safe operation. Everyone makes mistakes, and perhaps my car was the unlucky one. Robbie's team worked on the car until all the issues were resolved. I'm upgrading my review from 2 to 4 stars and feeling more confident about talking my car back to D&V for repairs.

Went to D&V for rear brake service based on the very high Google review score. Was hoping to find a knowledgeable and trustworthy shop to service my family cars. Instead drive off their lot with car that could barely stop even with the pedal pressed all the way to floor. Brakes is a critical safety component of the vehicle and this was my daughter's car. These guys most likely didn't test drive the car, or don't know how brakes supposed to work. They essentially put the driver of the vehicle into a potentially serious danger. Immediately turned around and told Robbie about poor brakes performance. Robbie looked slightly irritated and unhappy to see me back in the shop. A different mechanic confirmed that the brakes were not right and after some more waiting determined that the previous mechanic allowed air to entire the brake fluid lines and did not bleed the lines correctly. He did improve how brakes work, but my confidence in this shop and their ability to perform very basic service was shuttered. There are two components critical to your survival: brakes and steering. And if the shop cannot be trusted to correctly service and test those systems - it's a huge red flag. I may give this shop the benefit of the doubt and let them work on my car one more time, but I'm inclined to service critical systems at the dealer from now on.
Excellent service as usual based on knowing Robbie and D&V Service Center for many years and using them for various auto repairs and always being fully satisfied. I had an odd request -- to unbolt factory installed levelers on a camping trailer that were locked in place and install replacement levelers. The job was done properly and I was back in business.
Had a mildly annoying situation the first time I saw Robbie and crew. I let them know about it and they came through and compensated me for the annoyance. They ask for feedback because they want to be better and they did better. Great folk, great business.
Update: Been going here for a few years now and love these guys. They deliver in what they say and I never feel like they are trying to get one over on a non-car guy. Highly recommend them
The mechanics at D & V Service Center do great work and they charge a fair price. I can always trust them to tell me the best recommendations for my car - even if I don't always listen! They give options and let you make a decision instead of trying to convince you to go with the most expensive route. Thanks again D&V!
I highly recommend D & V Service Center. I trust them to diagnose and fix any issue with my vehicles. I have a 17 year old truck that, of course, regularly has issues and I know that Robbie and his staff will find the problem and take care of it without wasting time or money. Don't hesitate to take your car here for service.

I have been taking my cars to D&V for over 25-years. Robbie (the owner) is a Bluemont neighbor and has owned forever.
He is honest and never does more work than needed. On more than one occasion he turned down work that was not needed on the cars. My daughter took her car in for warranty service to the dealership, and they said she the car needed all of this work. Robbie told her it was unnecessary...he was right.
When I have needed emergency car service, Robbie was there to take care of me.

I chose to take my car into D &V based on the great reviews I read online, and now I wouldn't go anywhere else! Robbie is great at explaining what and why my car needs certain repairs, and I never feel like I'm getting ripped off at all. I wish more mechanics would run their business like they do. Great service, transparent communication, affordable costs - would recommend to anyone!
We’ve been taking our cars to D & V Service Center for more than a decade - always an excellent experience, wouldn’t go anyplace else. Robbie and his staff do great work and are honest, trustworthy and reliable; very reasonable prices on repair/maintenance services and gas. There’s lots of mechanic shops in Arlington, but I chose this one because of the excellent reviews and longer hours. I called ahead and Robbie worked with my schedule to ensure I wouldn’t be out there driving with a tail light out. Once I arrived, Curtis was also an awesome help and attentive. Great service for a great price, and I’ll be back next time I’m in the area. P.S. Tell Robbie that Texas is the best state - he loves it!
I love this place. I know nothing about cars, and at other places always have that feeling like I'm being taken advantage of -- not at D&V!!! I love these guys. Everyone is honest, respectful, friendly, explains what stuff means, and helps you prioritize what's most important to fix right away vs what can safely wait if you're short on cash. I'm thankful to have found this place years ago. They even drove me home once in a snow storm when I was new to the area and had to leave my car there! Always reliable and trustworthy -- highly recommend D&V.
I wish I could give them more stars! These guys are the best. My car broke down a few weeks ago and I had it towed to AAA where they gave me a very high estimate that I didn't understand. I sent the estimate to D&V for advice and they walked me through the questions to ask to get the work done I really needed based on my issue. This was out of their own goodwill.
On top of it, a few weeks later my car overheated and I had it towed in to them to take a look and while unfortunately my car just didn't want to overheat for them again to make a diagnosis they kept it for three days to keep trying. Then ultimately because we didn't find anything they didn't charge me.
They are just great-: hard-working, honest, and knowledgeable. Robbie is the best and I will not be taking my car anywhere else in the future. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Super nice employees that were very courteous and knowledgeable. They helped me research tires when I needed to replace mine and got my standard mileage service done the same day I dropped off my car. Just make an appointment ahead of time and these guys will take care of you. This place is honest and invaluable!
This is our go-to place for fuel and car services. We've had everything done from tire repair to major tune-ups and every time, we've had a great experience. Staff is professional, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their prices are fair, their hours are great (open early to late), and they repair your vehicle in a very timely manner. Communication is great, too. I highly recommend this place.
If I could give D & V six stars I would. I cannot say enough about the service provided by these mechanics. I have been looking for a reliable mechanic for over a year and I will not go anywhere else except D & V from now on. In the past two years, I have spent over $1200 on my radiator with no results. I dropped my car off at D & V Thursday evening and was greeted by a courteous staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I received a call early the following morning. They had diagnosed the problem as a missing bolt on my coolant overflow reservoir. It cost $60 to fix it! They did not try to sell me anything extra or try to scare me into additional repairs. It was an amazing experience. I will not bring my car anywhere else in the future.
This is one of the smoothest experiences I had fixing a car from the initial phone call to setting up an estimate/ repair appointment to picking up the vehicle in the same day. Robbie listened to my mechanical concerns and his mechanical technicians we were able too readily rectify the problem at a reasonable cost. Robbie also shared other possible concerns and together made the best decisions for my particular car. It was nice not to feel the general pressure usually experienced at a dealership service.
