I came in to get oil and Andre saved the day! I was being totally clumsy and dropped my oil cap inside the vehicle and wasn't able to get it. Andre was so generous in helping me get it. Thank you soooo much. If he hadn't helped me I wasn't going to be able to get back to work. This place is usually really good anyway but this just made it even better!
I usually come here to this specific AAP for my car related stuff. Was having a very frustrating day & had to go to the closest store near me at the time, which was Autozone (FC). They were extremely rude (with the exception of one young guy wearing a red AZ shirt) I didn't feel comfortable at all to even ask for help with what I needed.
I left AutoZone and came to this AAP to just see if anyone would be able to take a few minutes to help. The gentleman behind the counter today was very kind & agreed to come outside to help me.
I was very apologetic for asking, but the gentleman was very nice & assured me it was no problem. Another very nice employee came out to assist as well with a little bit of "teamwork". Both of these gentleman were so helpful & treated me with kindness & not at all as if I was a bother.
The customer care was the best & made my day much better afterwards! I will continue to come here for all of my car needs & for the friendly, knowledgeable service! Again, thank you all so much! I'm so appreciative!!
Not only did they answer my question about how to get paint off my bumper, they took the time to help me apply the solution and fix my car. Sincerely some of the nicest people I've worked with in a long time. Cannot recommend them enough - especially Tony who is as good as they come!!!
The manager here is amazing - a real pro, with customer service that you don’t see around here much. Saved the day when I really needed help. Don’t go anywhere else.
Tony is the man! He was personable and helped me when I was a damsel in distress! My oil was low, not only did he put the oil in my car he made sure my car wasn’t leaking the oil either. You don’t get customer service like that anymore. You’re lucky to have an employee like Tony! Many thanks!

This store makes things right for its customers, even at its own expense. I recently purchased a box of disposable vinyl gloves to work on my car. The gloves were too small as per the sizing diagram on the box. As such, I went to exchange the gloves for the next size up. The store accepted my exchange, despite the fact that the manufacturer of the gloves wasn’t going to reimburse them. I appreciate that they were willing to make things right for me, even though it ultimately ended up costing them.
My car needed a new battery and I was hoping for a quick fix. Arrived in the evening and I was promptly helped by a staff member who checked my battery status and showed me replacement options. I appreciated that he was honest about the fact that my car didn't need the premium/top of the line options. I made my pick and he did a quick free install. Hope to not need another service anytime soon but if I do, I'd be happy to come back here. Highly recommend for a battery replacement without labour/installation costs!
I am grateful to advance auto for changing my battery on Thursday evening. My battery had died; I junpstarted and drove direct to advance auto. They gave me a good understanding of what I needed to buy and then to my complete surprise they were able to install it as I waited/watched. The woman who helped me was a problem-solver. Well versed in all things car. Replacing the battery was a little complicated because of the way it’s placed in an Infiniti. She problem solved and was super competent and a pleasure to talk to as she did the work. I couldn’t be more pleased and highly recommend the team at the store.
This place is amazing! It is my family’s go-to auto parts store. Recently went in for what would have been a difficult repair, but DeAnna and Tony went above and beyond to help me out and got it taken care of. Not only do they know their stuff, but they’re also just really great people.
Friendly neighborhood auto parts store. Can’t recommend this place enough, prices are fair and the staff is what sets this place apart. Ask for Santos, he’ll take good care of you and go that extra mile to make sure your car is in good health. Everyone on the staff also does a great job explaining things so that you don’t feel like an idiot!
Great service replacing a dead battery, was in and out by 20 minutes. Much more convenient than taking it to the shop or dealing with the hassle of replacing it yourself (e.g. driving out to Costco/walmart, disposing the old battery, finding the right size socket wrench, etc).
Deana worked with us to troubleshoot our car problem and search for the right part. We searched through kits that had the right clips, options for wire, and ultimately ended up on metal zip ties for our temporary fix before our mechanic visit. She took time to help and arrive at a great solution.
Had an awesome experience at this store today I walked in and the person behind the desk was busy but stopped immediately. Big thanks to Dea for helping me. She found what I needed right away and got me back on the road to be able to fix my truck. Alway like coming to this advanced auto cause the people are great!
Fantastic staff, so the 1 star review has nothing to do with that. I just hope that it gets corporate to actually have some respect for this location and take care of it. The tiles when you walk in aren't just damaged, they're totally *wrecked* like if the store were a street it would be the grandaddy of all potholes. And actually there are multiple holes (several feet long, 2-3 inches deep) all in the entrance area. Staff said they put in *multiple* requests but that Advanced Auto Parts corporate only did something with tiles in their back. Figured they were just waiting for a trip-and-fall lawsuit till something is done. I shared a picture that I saw in another review just to show what I'm talking about but it's much worse, wish I had taken some photos. Personally it's not even a huge deal in terms of aesthetics but it is dangerous and it doesn't show respect for the staff who work at this location. They basically threw the place under the rug (maybe that's what they should do with the holes in the meantime) because it's a smaller location. I also hear that they put in requests for HVAC maintenance but nothing was done. This is something UPS would do. Advanced Auto Parts should do a better job when it comes to self-respect for their own staff and their customers in this central Arlington location.
Terrible! 'De' was extremely rude from the beginning and condescending, she was trying to get out of installing my battery /warrant that if she did there was a 50-50 chance it wouldn't start I didn't trust her at all. And when her rudeness became too much and I said something she refused to even let me take the battery and install it myself and cancels my order. This is also not the first time advance Auto has refused to install my battery that they probably advertise they install. Called AutoZone and they had a better price and more than happy to help with the install. Yep, my mistake.
Just visited this location and want to give a shout out to sales associate, Israel! He was super helpful, friendly and professional. He initially did a diagnostic on my battery (purchased from AA) almost 2 years ago and it checked out fine. About a month later (today) I needed a jump after my sons bball practice. He happened to be there and remembered me and initiated the replacement. After this he installed the replacement battery for me in the dark. Again, the customer service was excellent and just an overall positive experience thanks to him. Thanks again, Israel! Hopefully this replacement battery lasts until we get a new car!
The woman who helped me was either the manager or assistant manager. Doesn't matter, she was extremely helpful to me. She tested my battery, got me a new one and also changed my rear wiper blade for me. She provided me great customer service.
I was very pleased with my visit here. Big inventory and a very helpful staff. I needed to replace the battery on my key fob. My local dealer tried to sell me a car at aggressive terms so I went to the Advance Auto Parts and the kid at the counter changed it for me for free.
Great location, convenient to Falls Church/Arlington and McLean. Sherri was very helpful in assisting me find some polish for my truck as well as a cleaning chemical for the aged headlights on my Highlander. She also helped point me in the correct direction for what to do with my flickering LED turn signals. Great customer service.
De was very helpful to check battery wasn't issue after getting stranded in underground garage and getting it jumped started by a friend. She went above and beyond to assure that starter or alternator weren't the issue after doing full diagnostic test and avoid paying hefty fees at local shops nearby. Highly recommended if looking for someone friendly and knowledgeable.
Ask for Israel. He did great installing a new battery (checking the life of the battery, as well as installation is free!), and explaining in layman’s terms how different parts of the car worked. Got my problem fixed in less than 30 minutes. Would highly recommend!
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The store is well laid out and marked. There is plenty of parking and the even offered to help me install a set of windshield wiper replacements. ( I didn't need it, but it was still nice).
I highly recommend them as a source of parts.
