I wanted to give a good review because the driver was helpful and loaded up a broken washing machine, but unfortunately they were pretty shady in the end and only gave my husband a little over half of what he should have got for scrapping his car.
Be aware of the scam these guys are running: I call them to come get a vehicle, they don't mention anything about a towing fee or what they pay for salvage. When they were collecting the car and I asked how much they would pay for it they said "we will weigh it at the yard and let you know". How can anyone negotiate with that? When I went to get the check the next day it was for $91!!! I've never seen so little for a 1.5 ton car. Turns out that they gave me $100/ton when the going rate was $120, and they charged me $75 to pick it up! They never mentioned the tow charge, most places don't charge, and they only towed it 7 miles!
Don't do business here you'll get ripped off!
This was my first time to this yard and the people that work here and very nice guys. They helped me unload and very honest on prices. They even gave me a slip that has all what they take and what they pay for it. I will be definitely coming back.
