I had a frustrating experience at the Milton, VT location. The manager refused to complete my in-store purchase unless I provided a phone number, stating it was required for warranty purposes. When I declined, he would not process the transaction. This was for a basic $24 cabin air filter with a standard 30-day replacement policy. I have purchased items at this location before without being required to provide personal information, and other regular customers have never encountered this requirement. Because the sale would not be completed without a phone number, I had to leave the store, place the order online, and return 15 minutes later to pick it up. The employee who handled the pickup had no idea what had happened. Requiring personal information to complete a simple retail purchase - without clearly explaining whether it is optional - creates an unnecessary and frustrating customer experience. I value my privacy and should not be denied a sale for declining to provide personal data. I hope corporate reviews this situation and ensures consistent and transparent practices across locations. I’m not sure whether this was related to internal performance metrics, but it resulted in an unnecessary waste of time.

The service was good. I had to wait a little bit because two customers were being waited on, but when it was my turn service was good, friendly and polite. An employee came out to my car and tested my battery for me, which I appreciate.

Asked for help finding something. The guy barely helped me. Ended up finding it myself just to get the the register to pay and tells me I need a phone number. There is no way I needed one to buy one plastic part to hold a mud flap on. Left and ended up getting it at O'Rileys

This store says they’re open until 9 on Saturdays. I got there at 8:48 and the doors locked. And now I can’t finish my job that I only have time for tonight.

Terrible service, employees lack basic knowledge of automotive parts and processes. I’ve witnessed employees being extremely condescending to other customers when asking simple questions. I’ve had issues with exorbitant wait times while on the phone, not answering, etc. out of all of the employees, I’ve only had good experiences with one gentleman that works there and my sympathies go out to him. Highly recommend going down the road to oriellys where they’ll go out of their way to help you with any question, part needed, great service and and great people.

Worst store ever!!! Nick is the rudest person and has no customer service skills. I bought a part online and needed to return it. He refused to take it back because he didn’t know the difference between surface rust and straight up rust. He stated that I was lying about it and then proceeded to call the other local stores and tell them that I’m trying to scam them and might be in.

Their door says they close at 6pm mon-fri but be warned at 5 mins to 6 they lock the door and all run to the back and hide. I know that’s cutting close but to closing and usually I’m not that guy but all I needed was a tractor battery. They literally saw me walk up with it.

I have used advanced auto in many states and I have never had a problem with any of them except this one!! Battery was just about dead and the guy declined to put a new one in because it was too cold outside!! So he lost a sale and I wont be going back there!

Staff was not helpful. Refused to install the new battery I bought from them, even though no one else was in the store, multiple staff working and it is one of the services Advanced Auto provides. The girl laughed in my face when I asked to speak to a manager.

The guys who work here are always so helpful and friendly. They always go above and beyond to help me find reasonable priced parts for my falling apart car. They have also helped me to install bulbs and have ran free diagnostic scans on my car! Best autoparts store in the area!

Stopped by to have them look up a part for an older Audi. The girl behind the counter was very helpful. She gave me the price and said she could have the part there Tuesday ( it was Sunday ) I thought I had a gift certificate at home so I asked if I could call when I got home and have her place the order. She said “no problem”. Got home found the gift certificate and called back. A different person answered and I explained my conversation and he proceeded to look up the part. He then told me I had to go back and pay at the store or they wouldn’t order the part. I told him I thought it was bad customer service to tell me one thinkg in person and then do something totally different after. He proceeded to say thank you and hung up on me. I will NEVER shop there again. And ordered the part off of amazon for half of the cost they offered.
