We had an emergency and needed a wrecker. Kemp's answered the phone quickly, dispatched a driver out immediately to Alvord...driver apologized for taking so long, he had to get gas...was still there in 20 minutes. I, the office manager, had to change drop off locations twice and the dispatcher was patient and kind to me during a very high anxiety time. We had to have it towed about an hour and half away, and the price was also surprisingly reasonable. I appreciate this company and their service very much.

Had to have my daughters car towed to the shop this morning. Terry was very professional and even took the time to explain to us the correct way to strap her car down in the event we ever needed a tow again and someone else hooked it up, we would know if it was done right to prevent damage. That kind of information was greatly appreciated.

Blew my alternator while going down 287 at 1 in the morning, and they were able to have a driver there in 15 minutes. The driver Terry was super professional, quick, and all around a great guy to talk to. Would very much recommend them for your towing needs.

Chico Auto now owns Kemps, but Stan was a kind man. Terry Hand owns it now, another kind man, and is community driven Chritian values. We use his service and his staff at Chico Auto is kind, knowledgeable and fair prices.

I had a problem with my truck we lived 5 hours away I called kemp towing and they had a tow truck right there and towed it back to my house 5 hrs away very nice people that works there very reasonable price too I would recommend their service they went above and beyond to take care of us thank you kemps wreckers service

Yesterday afternoon my dad and I were on our way to work from Houston. One of our wheel barrels broke on US 380. Bobby came to help haul our truck and trailer loaded with scaffolds. He went above and beyond to get us to safety and even drove us to get some food. For ever thankful we came across him, he is a great representation of Decatur’s people! God bless!!

There aren’t enough stars on google to rate Kemps and their extraordinarily amazing guys! Our truck broke down on hwy 51 hauling horses home from a show. Bobby showed up on the scene before any other emergency help and provided safety and calm for humans and horses. Kemps towed our truck and located an equine vet for us to relocate the horse trailer safely. In a time of great need, it was refreshing to know people like Bobby and team are still out there! Not only are they good representatives of your company but just really good humans!

They were super nice and so easy to work with! I would 100% recommend them. From the first phone call to the drop off everything was smooth. Thank you!!

I just want to say "THANK YOU " to Kemp's Wrecker service. Mr. Bob came to our rescue on the 287 N. Hwy @ 2am 2/1. The vehicle had been there over 3hrs, due to being stuck in the mud. His calming approach in helping us in that stressful environment was a relief. We were sooo... grateful to have compassion shown, rather than been treated as just a "job". Thank you again!! Service was great. I was stuck on side of highway for a night due to my roadside assistance but when kemp tow service came they were fast and friendly they even help me with my flat tire. They really blessed me I would recommend them to anyone.

Bobby came and picked up up my wife's car to tow it to the shop, and was super professional, respectful, and polite. If I get in another jam, I will definitely be using Kemps!

I broke down on the on-ramp. They worked very hard .They took me all the way to Dayton to unload my semi. They were respectful and they did not charge me a lot of money excellent service. I will definitely use them again.

Kemps was fast and reliable. Answered the phone on the weekend and didn’t have to wait for a return call. Wyatt showed up within 20 minutes of the call. He was knowledge and handled the car with care. I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

An easy pock up but delivery was not a straight shot. Scott is a great guy. I'm very impressed with how he was able to maneuver my convex into the allotted space. Great job Scott! Courteous , polite and a great personality. If I ever need this service again I will ask for Scott. Same if a friend needs this service, Scott is the man for the job. If I could give zero stars I would… rude, unprofessional, and lazy. I called to have a vehicle released 15 minutes prior to them closing (after driving all the way from Plano over an hour away) and they said “oh they are closing the yard as we speak” They close at 5pm… I arrived at 4:59 and they were already gone for the day. Trash company and trash policies. STAY AWAY FROM KEMP’S WRECKER AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT LET THEM IMPOUND YOUR VEHICLE… tow it to a private residence if at all possible!! ****EDIT**** In the TDLR guidelines it states the following clearly Hours of Release of Vehicles If you accept vehicles 24 hours a day you must release vehicles 24 hours a day. If you do not accept vehicles 24 hours a day you must have vehicles available for release within one hour during the following hours: 8:00 am to midnight Monday-Saturday and from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sundays. If the VSF does not accept vehicle 24 hours a day, you are not required to release on national holidays, and it is not a violation for you to not release a vehicle within one hours’ notice if that puts the release time after midnight. Nowhere in these rules does it state ANYTHING about secondary tows. TDLR has been notified about the blatant disregard for the rules and regulations. Your reply about being an “angry little man” that did not get his way is a prime example of how unprofessional this company is.

I had trouble with my dodge 2500 as I was passing through Recommended by the local Dodge House and I am so very VERY glad I used them!!! Fast, professional and polite!!! Reasonable price and I could not have asked for a better tow truck driver than the one they sent. They are the ones to call if you need a tow!!! Deserve 10 stars!!!! Much heartfelt THANKS

I am SO thankful for Bobby and Kemp’s. AAA left me stranded, for hours, with empty promises and no resolution in Rhome last night. Country road, no streetlights, 9pm. After deciding to pay out of pocket my friend found Kemp’s and I made the call. Then changed my mind. Then called back and asked for help. Bobby showed up, as promised and in the timeframe he mentioned. He put up with me, changes I made, the distance we had to go, with a smile and perfect manners. We chatted like old friends all the way to my house, an hour from where he picked me up, finally arriving at 2am. He is incredible, the company is amazing, and if I need to use a service again I’m definitely calling them. On time, open and constant communication, and affordable.

Made to use this wrecker by the Decatur police for the most part. Everything inside my vehicle was stolen...from car seat covers, the obituaries I kept to keep me safe on the road, to floor mats. Of course it wasn't Kemps, according to them they just tow n lock but my door wouldn't even shut, who knows. All I know is someone stole OBITUARIES, IDC about any of the other stuff( Fendi shades, B&B sprays, my special rose, I kinda miss that lol) but my obituaries can never be replaced. I'm totally heartbroken behind them.

Saved my butt. Drove 11 hours from Denver. Got a flat on a very lowered car 45 min from home, driving through Decatur.. He was there in 15 mins. Knew exactly how to put a lowered car on a bed. Had me home in 1 hour. Super easy and fast.

I did not know where vehicle was actually broke down but driver looked for probably 2 hours approximately before finding with no extra charge. They were very patient and took a lot of time to find truck. Would recommend to anyone and will use again in future if needed.

Today in the pouring rain my truck broke down. I had just come back from Fort Worth with my husband who was still sedated after a medical procedure. Kemp was there in under 30 minutes and the driver was so kind! He took care of everything so I could get my husband home safely. I couldn't find anyone with better customer service than these folks! Thank you so much Kemp! Wouldn't use anyone else!! One happy customer!

I have never posted a review before but I was super impressed with this company and grateful for their service! I had an emergency tow..everyone from the woman (Darla I believe) who scheduled my tow to John who did the tow were super friendly.John even went out of his way to teach me things about my vehicle that I didn't know about and friendly conversation. It was affordable while another tow company in Decatur wanted to charge me double! Grateful I called Kemp's and will again if in need. Thanks Kemp's!!

This place is is one that I will be turning into channel 4 news and anyone who will listen. 2 miles is nothing and they charge 430 dollars and when you ask questions they are rude and avoid answering any questions.They only reason they can over price people is the fact it's in the country and people have no options. I will strive to inform anyone NOT to use this place. You will get treated like a criminal and they are protected by using your accidents as a reason to charge these ungodly prices. They can obviously do and charge whatever they want to people already suffering from loss. Cold heart, ruthless individuals with no moral compass. I've worked for the post office for over 20 years and have never seen anything like this place. Stay away from here at all cost...if you do have an accident I hope you are not poor because they will take advantage of your loss for even more gain.

Quick and professional. Everyone I spoke with, from the office staff to the tow driver, was super nice and accommodating. We have used them twice now and they will be our first call when we are in need again. Top notch! Highly recommended.

Brad with Kemp’s Towing was absolutely amazing when I popped two of my tires on my way home. The person on the other end of the phone when I called knew exactly where I was, and Brad showed up in maybe 15 minutes if that. He took great care of my car when loading and unloading at the tire shop. Thanks again!!
