Wow! Ignore all the weird haters in the reviews, as getting my MINI fixed by Nick and Co. was absolutely a dream! They saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary dealer repairs, and got everything fixed up within a few days! Really happy with my experience.

Nick is an expert in all things mini Cooper. I would not trust my mini in any other hands!

Car troubles are a headache and pricey. Husband has gone twice and they have been amazing and has been able to be helped fully.

Thos place is a joke. After having my Mini there for almost 3 months I pick it up in worse condition then when I dropped it. I complained to the guy in the office who shrugged is shoulders and walked away. I had my car towed to Arlington Mini and they had it ready in less then a week. Don't waste your time or money here!

Beware! DAMAGED my Car and are claiming they didn’t! And expect me to use them to repair a part that they installed WRONG because it was in warranty! I gave them 2 tries to get my window in correctly and they couldn’t. I gave them 2 tries to fix the clumping sound and they couldn’t! Check YELP reviews!!!! And every time I edit this review he keeps editing his post to try to make it sound like I’m in the wrong! He’s discounted but is it really discounted if you have to pay 2 to have the word done! Here’s the whole experience! So, the first time I took my car in it was a good experience. Nick went above and beyond. But I was in January ( I have records) and they had my car for 2 weeks to replace a window and the CV axle to stop the weird popping noise when I go over bumps. We drove up to pick it up after hours and all sort of sensors were on . So we left the cars. And they fixed the sensors but the windows wasn’t installed correctly and the popping noise was still there. So, I’m guessing it wasn’t the CV axle. spent money I didn’t need to! I called about it and they never got back to me. ( in your reply you said you would have fixed but you didn’t even take the time to call me back) So, I just let them have my car for 2 weeks again to fix the windows and try to fix the popping noise. ( before the 4th of July. I have records) They replaced both front struts and I was promised that the noise was fixed by Nick. It wasn’t fixed at all. The window still isn’t in correctly. I was really hoping I had found a mechanic that was trustworthy and did a good job. The whole experience has been disheartening. Wouldn’t take my car there if I were you. Also, I now have DAMAGE to my car that I didn’t have before I took it to them. I’m posting pictures. This was caused by someone putting a jack in the wrong place. Update- the front right strut that Nick replaced wasn’t seated ( put in wrong by Open Road Mini mechanics)correctly when replaced and I am having to replace it again a month later. So, now I’ve spent twice as much money!!! I have the receipts to prove all this!

Nick and Tina are wonderful to do business with. Whether buying a car or parts. They are trustworthy, kind, knowledgeable, honest, and people who genuinely care about their customers. Which, is extremely rare in any industry. I am a customer for life. 🤗 🚙

Nick and his team are no good!!! I made a mistake in trusting them so much, but I was wrong. They had done so many wrongs to my Mini (AKA Topless) and still to these days after spent thousand of dollars in cash (they not even accepted cards, go figure). The past year was uneasy and nerve-wracking while enjoying going topless, not knowing what could happen next. A business that always makes excuses, blames others and customer instead of being accountable, be focus and do the right thing to the customer, is not a good place to do business with. The past is past, but I learned from mistake, and I will never bring my Topless back to this shop again and NOT recommended!!!

Our 2016 MINI began over heating and leaking coolant from the oil filter housing. After a quote from the MINI dealership being astronomical, we got a second opinion from Open Road Mini. Their quote was much better and I brought it in for repairs. Drop off was easy, next day repair was great! Our MINI is back on road and not leaving coolant puddles in the garage now. While Nick was away battling a dragon (MOTD) his team running the shop were very personable and pleasant to speak to. Great experience! Great service! Great team and knowledgeable staff! Thanks to the crew at Open Road Mini for another great visit!

I stopped by with my 2011 CountryMan because the a/c blowing warm. Nic took the time to look at the car real quick and told me the air compressor wasn’t working. I left the car for him to fit in and fix when he could get to it. He called a couple days later and said I could pick up the car and the a/c was ice cold! I picked it up and the outside temp was reading 89 degrees on the car thermometer and sure enough it made my finger cold enough to open the windows…

My Mini has been through a lot but the worst experience started last year at this shop. I made a mistake in trusting them so much, but I was wrong. Nick, Tina, & the entire team at open road mini has tremendous knowledge on everything mini; there is no other mini shop that meshes expertise, customer service, & quality of work the way they do!

10000 stars. Honest, thorough work. I feel so lucky to have them work on my first MINI. The dealerships are overpriced and upsell too much, so having an expert working on my car that puts the customer first is such a dream come true.

Pretty disappointed with Internet part purchase. I have a very knowledgeable, reasonable Mini mechanic here in Georgia so I bought a non-running mini for my son. The mechanic told me to get a very specific DME CAS key set and it was hard to find. I ordered one here, but the one I received was different than the one pictured. We couldn't get it to work, and when I emailed, they accused my mechanic of being the problem: Hi, so far this doesn't work. Appears to be different than the listing. From my mechanic: "The picture and ad said '107 and not a supercession. The one they sent is a 758 which is the later year or a retrofit" I'm sure your policy allows for full refunds if it's not the part advertised.. do I need to follow any particular process to return it? Reply: We offer store credit or exchange. If your “mechanic” tried to reprogram it they may have corrupted the DME. Sent from my iPhone Since then we have tried to follow return procedures but they won't communicate regarding what parts we can exchange for. We are stuck with an over $400 expenditure for a part that doesn't work because it is different than advertised. I realize parts on these cars are a headache, and stuff can get confused. But when a customer is accused of being the problem when photographic proof shows it is the seller, and resolution is not happening easily, then frankly we are dealing with outright fraud.

Shortly after moving to TX from AZ in 2021, we discovered Open Road MINI. What a relief to find a reliable and HONEST mechanic. Being a MINI owner of 7 years, I have experienced the ugly side from other shops in the past, and the careless attitudes they have. A MINI Coopers require serious care and attention, and at Open Road, my MINIs get the care they deserve. Nick is the face of Open Road MINI, we are so grateful for him and his team — they have saved my 2016 R60 S on more than one occasion! As soon as a problem comes up, I have always been able to get my car in to get looked at, and get a quick diagnosis! Cannot recommend this shop enough!!!! 🚗🚙

I spoke with Nicholas about a harness for my daughter's 2012 Mini cooper S and he ask a couple questions about the mfg date.. that there told me he was knowledgeable about minis. Sold me the correct harness for my motor and a hood scoop for a very reasonable price. I had a small hiccup with the harness on a Saturday, messaged him again a question about a connection, and honestly, I wasn't expecting an answer back til Monday. You know a company cares about their customers when they reply on a Sunday and tell you where to purchase a part you also need! Anyone looking for mini parts, whether it be local or out of state, I'll be recommending this place. You cant get Chick fil a on a Sunday, but Mr Nicholas sure will help you out with any of your questions, and that says alot. Anything I need for my daughter's car, I'd definitely be stopping by here to get it

Absolutely trashed my Mini, had to get it totally rebuilt after used parts off scrap Mini's were used to attempt a fix on my Mini, talk a good game but Nick has not got a clue. Don't waste your time with this backyard junkshop.

I have waited almost a year to write my review until my car was properly sorted out and I had time to reflect on my transaction with Open Road Mini. I purchased a used car from them in April 2023. I paid $2,000 over the asking price with a promise of a laundry list of things that would be done to the car, so that it would be 100% punched out and road ready, including cleaning the car up. When I arrived, Nick was really friendly, but every detail from that moment forward was a new disappointment. None of the work that I was told would be done to the car was done, the car was filthy, the 'new tires' it was reported to have were almost 10 years old. The car was smoking due to items that I was told would be repaired. I don't think they even changed the oil. I live more than 3 hours away, and his first offer was for me to return the car to him to do the work that he had already promised to do. He sent me a replacement valve cover, but it was a cheap unit from Amazon that also leaked. Ultimately I've been through the car myself and with MINI of Austin. I love my car, but it was not the car I was sold, and though I never received the added value I paid for, I was never offered a refund for work I paid for that was not completed.

Great place for all your many Mini needs. They treat you like family and treat your Mini as if it was one of their own. I wouldn’t take my Mini anywhere else, I am so happy they are only 30 minutes away from my home in Crowley. Nick and his wife make you feel like family and are passionate about what they do for the Texas Mini Community.

Nicks expertise and Inventory is amazing. I sent him pictures of my sons deer totaled 2007 Mini JCW. He gave me a list of parts, I drove thru DFW picked up the parts and the next day we had our Mini back on the road driveable. Thanks Nick for everything. You are a god send to anyone upgrading or repairing Minis.

We spent months looking for the right auto shop to service our 2008 Mini Cooper. After several conversations with Nick, we drove from Houston to Haslet to have him put in a new motor. After two weeks of him dedicating time and resources to get it running, it was to no avail. Here is where good and great mechanics are separated. Nick could have just said, its ready come pick it up. Instead, he let us know the truth, our computer was bad. Would have cost us more money than the car was worth. He could have just let us drive with a bad computer until a check engine light came on. Instead, he did the honest, and great mechanic thing to do. Tell the truth. After mourning our 08, we talked to Nick, he had an 2009 Cooper S that suited our needs. We again drove from Houston to Haslet to complete the transaction. Nick remained in constant communication during the both the process of repairing and purchasing our Mini. We highly recommend Open Road Mini for any service, sales, or repairs. Nick knows Mini's inside and out. Be sure to ask to see Nigel. One of a kind Mini. Thank you Nick for your attention to detail, time and dedication.

Got a fair price and a good product. This guy is an enthusiast as well and understands the product of all recent Mini Cooper models since BMW purchased the name and started building them. Easy pleasant experience good communication

Great honest business. My daughters Mini had multiple problem indicator lights on and Open Road Mini assisted us with diagnosing the issue. We were sold the correct part at a more than fair price. This business will be the first place I go in the future for Mini Cooper parts.

Ordered a MINI R56 Cooper S Black Spoiler. Asked them if they had any and the price via Facebook since I didn't see any on the website. They did and we completed the transaction with Paypal that day - shipped it out the next day. Took about a week to arrive and I was able to instal it the same day. Very friendly / easy to communicate with through chat. Just message them what part you're looking for and they can probably help.

I was lucky enough to find this business on one of my Mini groups....and I’m glad I did! It is one of the very few places that had what I had been searching for (a rearview mirror with homelink for my R53). Nick at Open Road Mini was extremely quick at viewing my messages, checking his inventory and getting back to me. Even during the tough situation that extreme weather put Texas under Nick was able to take care of business. Communication was excellent, price was fair and shipping was super fast. I will definitely check here first whenever I need parts....if you are smart, you will bookmark this site for a quick return visit.

I ordered a bumper from this guy through his website including the shipping cost calculated by them. I completed and payed for the order through Paypal. Minutes after of receiving the payment confirmation, I received an email from Nicholas ("Nick") stating that for some reason his system had wrongfully calculated the shipping cost. He asked if I still wanted the product or if I wanted a refund. I replied back to him letting him know that I was interested on getting the bumper and that because the error was on their system, if we could agree to any arrangement. He replied that he would "eat it" and would pay for the shipping via UPS ground. He even sent me a screenshot of the shipping cost via UPS indicating that the amount was of $68. After a couple of days I received a message from USPS indicating that the item was out for delivery and an hour later I received another one stating that the item was at the post office ready for pickup but I never received any notification of this in my mailbox. I wrote to this guy via Messenger asking him if he had already shipped the bumper and if it had been shipped via UPS as he had stated or if it was done via USPS. I explained to him the situation with USPS. He replied very rudely saying that he shipped it "via USPS as I had paid". When trying to solve the situation he just told me that I was a "class act" and blocked me. For my surprise, when I went to the post office, the item was held because of a postage due. I ended up paying almost the double amount of what he had stated on his message of what the cost would have been via UPS even though he had promised to pay for it. Be careful with this guy, he has no word and is very disrespectful with customers. Any doubts, I saved all the screenshots of the conversation.

Nick ordered a service from our business and shipped a part in for cloning. Our website reflects a 24hr turn-around and his part arrived on a Friday. He emailed me on Saturday inquiring on when his part will ship back and I immediately responded that it is due to ship Monday. On Monday, a claim had been filed on PayPal and negative reviews were left by him all over the internet. His item was shipped on Monday and after it had already been delivered per tracking, he proceeded to threaten to sue the SH*& out of my company after I sent his part back in original condition because I refused to do any kind of business with him. If you don't want to be harassed, stay away from this man!
