Perfect sunset and drinks. Everything is expensive and commercial, but the restaurant was serving lobster and caviar! So it’s a good place to end the day.
As a food service vendor in round top my employee and I stopped at bader ranch to admire the art gallery they have on display and treat ourselves to a martini or a few. We were told we could have a cocktail at the bar. We ordered two grey goose filthy dirty martinis for $46. As round top has become little LA sadly, I wasn’t shocked at the price tag and was fine with it. However, I was shocked when they were served in plastic shot glasses with one olive and a hint of olive juice. Mind you, we are served these by the rudest and I mean the rudest, guy bartender who was wearing a crop top. Getting disrespected by a dude in a crop top was new to me not gonna lie. He then refused to serve us our drinks in a glass even though there were 20 clean martini glasses directly behind him on the table. He mentioned the glasses were for “fine dining” guests only as we sit in the bar of the “fine dining” establishment that’s in the back of a barn in a field. He then compared the antique show to ACL and said we should be embarrassed for asking for a glass lol. on that note - 12/10 don’t recommend. They should be embarrassed for hiring staff as classless as they were. I let the guy know and for the first time ever, I’m taking time to leave a review because it was literally that bad!
One of my favorite places to go to during the show. The coursed out dinners that Y Comida does during the shows is incredible. The atmosphere is beautiful and they have such a good variety of vendors set up there!
Bartender was great, no complaints about him. The margarita recipe though… not good. Needs more simple or something. Straight tequila and lime if you’re into that. $45 for two margs +tip…
Great place to stop and shop for European treasures. Fun to stroll through and see ever changing items from years gone by. Always something different to see and enjoy. Great buys always to be found here for my client's. Not that this is often a highlight, but they have one of the nicest outhouses when needed!! Which at a busy market can be important. Areas available for food and drinks with indoor and outdoor seating options. All of the vendors were friends and engaging.
I found this one a little quirky and not for me. The merch was mediocre at best lined up with the massive amount of competition in the area. Weird vibe. I felt like I didn't need to make this stop.
A dreamy stop when out in Round Top. The space is a bug giant farmhouse/ barn with open airy vibes and chock filled with treasures abound. I love making Bader Ranch one of my first stops during Texas Antiques Week. I am not sure if if they are open here year round or just during Texas Antiques Weeks in Spring and Fall.
The space is beautifully curated with gorgeous and interesting European Antiques. There is also some fun food options and a coffee / beverage truck. Definitely a spot to stop at during your antiques adventures.
