All of the people complaining about overcharging have obviously never owned their own business. Between maintenance, employees, outrageous insurance fees, and a million other things that they don't consider, the prices are more than reasonable. I locked myself out of my truck at the Allsup's by Walmart. The young man inside called for me, he was very helpful and deserves recognition as well. The representative from Lightnin Wrecker showed up within the time frame he said he would, he had me unlocked in 5 minutes and I gladly paid the $75 which was more than reasonable for the service. Considering he probably had to stop what he was doing to come and do this, and drive over here to unlock me. More than happy with the service, and will gladly recommend and use them again.
Got myself a project vehicle that broke down seven miles into my first drive. Didn’t know what to do and called a friend who recommended I call Lightning/The Mill. It took not even ten minutes before the kindest man showed up, loaded my vehicle and gave me a ride to my house. I would highly recommend! Easily the best towing experience I have ever had.
Taking advantage of people and overcharging isnt kool, Stephenville city council needs to look into this , if the PD makes the call then the city should answer for price gouging.
Lugnuts sheared off and broke studs going down 281 into Stephenville. Reagan was fantastic on the phone and Jeremy was to my family in 15 minutes with a flatbed. He tried to help us find a mechanic on a Sunday to no avail. After much discussion and a few hiccups, he towed us all the way back to Killeen. I definitely recommend them!
Totally awesome service from phone to service the rest of the wrecker companies in the area should go there and learn what service is hats of to your guys !!!
All good except one major issue. They were super nice and responsive and even came by my apartment first to get the keys to my car for an easier tow. Reasonable price as well. Got my car no problem and dropped it off no problem.
However, i had an herb grinder with about a gram of cannabis in it in the center console that went missing sometime between the tow truck picking it up and me arriving at the shop the next day when they opened. We were very careful to note where it was when the tow truck picked it up, so it’s not a case of simply misplacing it. It was stolen by either the tow truck driver or the team working on my car, no one will admit to it so i’m leaving this part in the review for both companies.
For reference, i am a medical marijuana patient and i have a genetic disease that causes daily pain. The cannabis stolen was my medication prescribed by the state of TX.
These guys are a total rip off. Was charged $550 when they towed my car in an accident. My car was there only 1 night. By the way I never called them the police did and they still charged me for all these extra things. If I could give zero stars I would for rip offs.
