While visiting my friend, accidentally parked In a reserved parking spot. I was in the building for approximately 20 minutes, then decided to leave. When i came out, my car was nowhere to be found, which caused me to almost breakdown in tears. Come to find out my vehicle was towed and stored at Cross timbers. Thank god my car wasn’t stolen and safely stored at cross timbers, instead of some hoodlum thug stealing it. GOD BLESS YOU CROSS TIMBERS!!!!
I was told it would be $250 to get my car back, even if I came the next day. That was completely misleading. When I showed up, the total was suddenly about $360 with extra fees that were never explained upfront.
They added storage, impound, and a $50 “notification letter” fee — and the receipt shows that letter was sent the same day I picked up the car. That feels like a convenient way to tack on more charges.
I understand towing isn’t cheap, but quoting one price and then adding over $100 in undisclosed fees is not okay. If they had been honest from the start, I would have picked it up immediately.
Make sure you get a FULL breakdown of every fee before trusting anything they tell you over the phone.
Terrible customer service and experience. My daughter was parked in an UN MARKED space for 12 minutes when Brian attempted to tow her car. Made her pay $130 "drop fee" at the Fireside apartment complex in Stephenville even though he wasn't even finished hooking up her car. TDLR states that "If you return to your car and it is being hooked-up to a tow truck but IT IS NOT FULLY hooked up and ready for towing, you can keep your car WITHOUT paying a CHARGE. You do not need to prove ownership of the car in this instance."
He still charged her.
Also, The posted signs at the apartment complex are not legal nor enforceable in the state of Texas.
Key Texas Towing Signage Requirements:
Location: Installed on the right and left of every driveway/entrance, facing the driver.
Visibility: Bottom edge must be 5 to 8 feet above the ground.
Visibility: Must be permanent (on a pole or wall), weather-resistant, and 18x24 inches.
Content: A red towing symbol, the phrase “Towing Enforced” or similar, and the name/phone number of the towing company.
The apartment complex & The tow company are working together,..!!!!

I was visiting my daughter after an accident, and was only parked for at most 30 minutes. We came out to go eat, and the car was gone!? We immediately went to cross timbers, and got there before the hour. We sat there waiting for over 10 minutes TEN. Eventually we were past the hour, and we complained about this too the lady, but to no avail she turns down any argument and proceeds to tell us it wasn’t her fault that she was on call with the cops. So why are WE being at fault??? With nothing else to say or do I paid over 250+ dollars, because of not me being late but being held back. This overall was an unforgettable experience. You will never forget me.

Ice storm of 2026 got me. Couldn't even get down the driveway without getting stuck. Called the boys at Crosstimbers and they had me rolling in less than an hour. Very professional! Great guys!
