As a first timer, this place was confusing and intimidating. There are so many big trucks going in and out y yo con mi trockita. But there was few people walking around and I was able to go in the right direction. The workers were nice and friendly. Will definitely be back to scrap more
I like they open on saturdays and the customer service has been good , EXCEPT … there’s been a few times that I have came to cash out and there was no one at the window. And in one incident I called and the woman who answered was very rude she seemed to be bothered that I was calling to see what was going on after 20 min of waiting in the little office to get paid. People were in line outside ,some came in and we were all crammed in that little space. And In this heat is not acceptable.
Ok, I gave 5 stars to help them a little bit. They are offering me a load from Phoenix, AZ to them there in El Paso, will all the bad reviews and the way this broker is paying, won’t risk my self to get a blown/damaged tire and spend a good amount of hours to get unloaded. Thank you for all the reviews.
Tight to maneuver with a 53' trailer. Takes way too long to load a dry van load. 7 hours in total. When you get down to ask what is going on they tell you that I'll be ready in 30 minutes. You can tell they don't care about your time. You will be here all day long if you come pick up a load here.
I brought in alot of aluminum, cast aluminum, and stainless steel. I found it odd they weighted everything together when you pull in and told the people there I have different types of metal. They looked it over and said they'll take care of it and sent me on my way after I unloaded everything. When I went in and got paid and left the receipt was hard to read and saw that they charged me cast aluminum price for everything. I had about 100lbs of stainless and also aluminum.
Nice crew. They all speak Spanish, but one of them spoke English and was able to talk to his co workers got me so I could get loaded and receive my bills without any issues.
Upsetting situation today with a very rude worker who has no care or concern at all for the local clients. Employee who directs traffic is disrespectful and yells at customers, ordering us around with bad intensions . Needs to be reprimanded and or replaced with someone who can effectively do his job without losing control . .be excellent and professional in everything you do, especially when you work for a company that depends largely on its customers to return with more materials!!!!!!
It was my first time here and the attendants were all courteous and helpful. They gave me more than what I expected for the item I recycled that I otherwise was going to toss away. If I ever have anything else to recycle I will for sure come back here.
I can’t complain the prices were pretty descent. For scrap and getting a decent money, happy and the person who helped me was pretty help full and fast. Will be coming back!
Funny they only reply to positive reviews, i get some people hate their job but that doesn’t mean they need to be rude. Asked a simple question and the lady was rude, over all fair prices.
Pretty darn good they have competitive prices vs. Border Recycling just off Hawkins which I now wished I had a truck I would have loaded 40 more pounds for a nice sum. Can't complain, last year was horrible for aluminum most of the time I saw .20/lb glad I hoarded what I had in aluminum XD.
One lady there was having a bad day I guess... I got an ugly attitude for asking a simple question. I had never been to this place, so I had no idea where to go. Other than that they have good prices.
Usually the best rates for scrap. They make it easy once you've been there they keep your info on file. Be warned the path in is littered with tiny metal scraps
More than a review this a suggestion for management. Please do no schedule a load pick up if the load is not going to be ready at the scheduled appointment time. It's not fair for us truck drivers to be waiting to get loaded for 12 or more hours after we check it. We get paid by the mile not by the hour so coming here to pick up for you it's a big loss for us. I will advise other drivers to stay away from this place until the people here get their act together.
they messed up my trailer, guy (Avila) who unloads with crane likes to smash up your trailer since they have a policy that they will not be held accountable for damages incurred when unloading so the guy takes advantage and is very irresponsible when unloading your scrap from your trailer, also they change prices and don't have the courtesy to tell you that the prices dropped before unload.
I went there to pick a load up there today .The two gals in the office were very polite!!!! That being said this place is a joke . No space absolutely filthy worse recycling yard I've ever been to. I left EMPTY will not haul anything for them...........then when I finally got turned around to leave the employ said don't ever come back......No problem there!!! Lmao
They completly lied to me about scrap prices. I wasnt sure how it all worked when i too some copper and brass in last week. I took the exact same amout of 2" copper 3 days later and made .65 cents more per pound, that wound up being 190 bucks more. This week i took some copper to s.a just to see what thet would do, after some calling out the younger manager that pays the money told me that they have to get you to buy as low as they can. He offered me 40 cents more per pound. Laughed at him and went to ASA. ASA is a fair place to deal with on any scrap material. Sa is a complete joke and scetchy dealer.
