On The Road Again JunkYard in Denton (TX)

If I could give zero stars I would. They drive around Denton square looking for vehicles to tow. The tow sign was not visible where we parked across from Eastside. There was another vehicle already parked in the lot prior to us getting there. We were there less than an hour and they towed our vehicle. Upon arriving to pick up the car the girl at the desk in the orange sweatshirt was extremely rude and clearly racist. We asked questions such as how the car was towed and she knew nothing. She refused to give me her name, but being mad at the world and being rude to people won’t get you far in life. I hope you find peace in your life. As an employer you may not be racist, but your employees clearly are.

The company picked up my accident car from 4 miles away from their office and are charging me $435. Trying to get advantage of the situation and charged double the price. Bothe the ladies in office were so rude and told me if to leave the office once I was asking the details. Their behavior was so rude that one one them went inside and called the manager to push me out of office.

These guys will HELP. I am a resident of a community that work with On the road again, like they will tow unregistered vehicles and all that. So, 2 days ago my vehicle broke down, my friend suggested that I call on the raid again and they will give me with a jump start. So I called. A tow truck did come and helped me with a jump start but my alternator failed, meaning it can’t be moved on its own. So he towed my car to across the street to a mechanic shop, and did not charge me anything. And later I realized that mechanic is charging too much and I can’t afford to repair the vehicle over there. So I called on the road again, they towed my car back to my apartment with no cost. It was across the street though, so thank you :)

Nearly all of the 5 star reviews are fake. The accounts posting them only have 1 review total. Definitely the owner making fake accounts to boost the business. They are scammers and will tow your car even if you have registered for parking. If you show them proof that you registered, they say "it didn't show that in our system" and will still make you pay. Crooks all around.

I'm glad they help a handful of people, but they make a lot of people's lives a lot worse. I get that it's many landlords that are at fault for partnering with tow truck companies to steal my guest's cars because of bad policy, but who, in good faith, would ever call that service morally good? Prices are exorbitant for a college town, also. I don't know where that money goes, but $200 seems like an arbitrary 'screw you' to people who are just having to learn the broken system for the first time. Whatever.

caught these guys towing a friends cars in a spot clearly marked “VISITORS.” he tried spewing some BS when he got caught, claiming even visitor spots are for residents. he was visibly embarrassed and shocked he got caught. then said he’ll “let us have it.” you got caught buddy. if we hadn’t caught him, we’d clearly have to shell out a few hundred and they wouldn’t take our word over their driver’s. then he made a salute gesture at me. clearly in it just to make a few bucks. don’t trust these people.

So initially i gave them 1 star because my friend had been towed twice at my complex which is frustrating and inconvenient (they are just doing their job) but today David helped me out HUGE by moving all illegally parked car so i could legally park mine. Thank you David! He was kind professional and informative :)

Crazy business, car was towed after just parking & I picked it up within 30 minutes. Probably 1.5 miles from the tow yard, and very little to no gas was used nor labor. Not sure how they figure that was $200 worth of work. Was parked at midway craft house. There is no visible signage that states your vehicle will be towed, or anything extremely obvious. Driver stated after 1AM they will tow vehicles, but there is nothing on the property that says that. Ladies up front were nice and answered my questions. But at the end of the day they work for a predatory towing company. I’d recommend a career change to something that takes talent & you can walk away from feeling good about the job you did, other than ruining anyone you come in contact with. Lazy business, adds no value to the world. Learn a skill, scummy way to make a living.

White lady at the front desk was unreasonable, rude, aggressive, and racist. My guests car was parked at 8:20 and towed at 8:22, and it was registered by 8:28 (after I walked from the guest parking lot where there is no WiFi to my apartment building). She was unwilling to listen and threatened to call the police on us (after we had paid the fee) because we where standing by our car and figuring out how to contest the fee. Let me reiterate, the lady was rude and racist. It’s unprofessional and disgraceful to speak to customers the way she did. And judging by the response this company gives to all their bad reviews, this behavior is obviously tolerated by them. It’s very unfortunate, and I feel very violated.

I recently had an unfortunate experience with "On the Road Again" towing company. I was towed from a parking lot that had free parking on one lane and paid parking on the adjacent lane. The free parking sign was a professionally installed, bright blue sign, at least 8 feet tall and easily visible. In stark contrast, the paid parking sign was a small, self-installed sign that looked like a garage sale sign. This poorly made sign was hard to see, especially if you’re driving a tall truck or a low-to-the-ground vehicle. I am sure this is relatable for most, who are excited for a nice evening with friends or family. Initially, I thought the landlord might have installed the sign, but a woman at the tow truck company informed me that the employees of "On the Road Again" installed the signs themselves. Their signage is subpar compared to the clear and professional free parking sign. It's evident that their signage is not up to standard, which causes unnecessary confusion and stress for drivers. When I discovered my car was towed, I approached one of their tow truck drivers, who was in the process of towing another vehicle, to ask for guidance on what to do next. Instead of providing helpful information, he curtly replied, “Look at the side of my truck,” in a tone that was far from friendly. I found this to be quite rude, which added to my frustration. You would think that at the very least, their drivers would be trained to provide clear and courteous instructions to distressed individuals. Upon arriving at their office, my experience didn't improve. The workers were notably rude and unhelpful, though I suppose dealing with angry customers all day might contribute to their demeanor. Nonetheless, a bit of empathy and professionalism would go a long way in these situations. I've also noticed that their replies to customer reviews online are unnecessarily combative and rude. This approach seems to align with their overall business model and the partners they choose to hire. It’s clear that this company needs to improve not only their signage but also their customer service practices. I hope that the company takes this feedback and can enhance their procedures to, at the very least, offer a better experience to the people that are troubled by them.

Car was towed, and I picked it up within 30 minutes. Probably 1.5 miles from the tow yard, and very little to no gas was used nor labor. The City of Denton sets a tow fee of $145, so I am not sure where the additional $55 came from. I was parked at Wells Fargo Bank ATM parking lot. Went to bank and ice cream shop. There is signage about towing, but as a Wells Fargo customer with business at the bank, I assumed I would not be towed. But bank closed at 2 pm and they towed at 2:05. Additionally my granddaughter’s car seat was in my car, so she had to ride in an Uber without one to get to the tow yard to get my vehicle. They jeopardized the safety of a child. Two ladies up front; one on the phone and the other ignored me. Didn’t say hello or be right with you. When girl on the phone got off, no one knew why it was towed or where from. First it was apartment parking lot, then it was a mobile app parking lot, then finally she said the bank was closed. But at the end of the day they work for a predatory towing company that searches for technicalities to charge people exorbitant prices.

Was at an apartment complex that had told me I was registered for 24 hours but got towed twice in 12 hours. First time the apartments had changed the registration without letting me know then I had parked in visitor since the front office had told me I was registered for the entire day as a visitor and even showed me when it would expire. I had double checked as well and it was registered. The towing company told it expired at 1:30 pm that day and even though I was given the wrong information they told me they don’t know why the apartment said that and won’t do anything about it. Money grab company, they don’t care if it’s not your fault you will still pay. They then proceeded to close the gate on me until I honked to be let out.

The person on the phone was helpful and informative. The driver (Reuben) who came and assisted was courteous and arrived within the time estimated. He helped me get back on the road quickly and was very professional. Thank you for the help.

Are you tired of this towing company consistently getting away with nickel and diming college students? if you have had your car towed from an empty lot, or if you have had your car towed within a matter of five minutes after you dropped it off, or if you think that they are simply exploiting the absolute, (I can’t cuss because Google will cut take it down,) out of the system and college kids just trying to pay rent every month. It would be crazy if everyone who fit this description above simply went to the IRS website and filed a complaint against them (Form 3949-A ) I know companies just love audits. Please, my friends treat them with the same courtesy they treated us with. Because if I’m a betting man, I would say a large majority of their cash transactions(that bought the owner, and his wife who is in need of Ozempic a brand new sports car.) are unrecorded. If you fit the criteria above, definitely don’t do this.

Disgusting lady both eaten cheetos in front of the counter getting mad with us because we asked them to check our car first to see if our car was fine and not damage. We parked our car for less of 1 hour and we come back and they took our car and the price to paid it was $200. Incredible!!!!!! Scammers and not professional, best experience ever!

Tristen was so kind and helpful when my car wasn’t starting. He was able to get it started the moment he arrived and then he kindly made sure I got home safely!

2/29/24 7:50ish Whoever this dirtbag towing people at University Courtyard is needs to investigated. I witnessed him grab a vehicle and return to scope for the next one within 10 minutes. He sees a new vehicle and hops out to inspect the plates but apparently not satisfied he begins to shine his flashlight all throughout the car like he was casing it to see if there was something worth grabbing. When I confronted him about why he’s checking inside of people’s vehicles he played dumb and quickly left. If he returns I will be grabbing photos. EDIT: Just got off the phone with the company and they assure that he’s just making sure there’s no one screwing in the back seat and the parking brake is disengaged. With a flash light and his face to the backseat window………. ANOTHER EDIT: If it wasn’t the same truck then your guys were in rotation but you were definitely back in 10 minutes. And you’re calling me a liar about what was said to me on the phone, but I was told after questioning that same statement that I would be surprised it’d happened a time or two from the man I spoke to. Why would I make a statement like that up? It wasn’t even my car that was towed I was just witness.

Very very good! Had an issue w registering my vehicle at my apartments. Lady on the phone was helpful, nice and very very patient. Was very happy for the quick help in a crunch! Ty

We needed a jumpstart for our car and called them. They responded promptly, and Chris arrived within 6 minutes. He quickly got our car running again. Impressive service!

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE EVER !! My car was on the tow lot for less than an hour and it cost me $200. Then I’m 3 months pregnant and denied me access to use the bathroom. No regards for women who are carrying an unborn baby while trying to figure out how to come up with the money to get home. Next time yall tow my car i will be peeing outside of the property. NEXT TO THE BUILDING 🤷🏾‍♀️. I have also reported this company to the BBB. Next time don’t be so nasty when people come in being a decent hunman being.

To the employee who decided to utter the phrase “thank you for your money” as I was exiting the premises. Your welcome:) you know it would just be crazy if someone hired a team of spam callers to inundate this location for the next two months with phone calls from an unlimited amount of differing numbers, which would eventually cause you to have to re-wrap every truck replace every sign, and essentially re “” brand your phone number across every place that it is listed. Ur welcome for the $199.00 Bc if something crazzyyyy like there were to happen A. The person would have to be crazy petty. B. If you maybe want it to stop? You could try responding to this post because whoever did it ( if it did happen) might read this and with the reimbursement of the parking fees ($995.00 in total, purely out of pettyness) it will cease.

Car got towed last night, saw footage and they only decided to inspect MY CAR? what was so different about mine and the others with no sticker either?! If that’s what y'all are doing then take ALL of the other cars not just 1!!

Stole my legally parked car and tried to refuse to give it back. Initially tried to claim it was a legal tow because I had no permit, despite the fact my landlord had already called and told them to release it. Edit: just saw their reply. They're lying. If it was a legit tow, why'd you have to bring my car right back to where you stole it from free of charge? Scumbags.

This place is evil. and now im out $200 just bc i parked my vehicle at MY apartment that i pay monthly rent on. just absolutely scummy. “wELL yOu PaRked yOuR veHiCLe wRoNg, iT nEeDs tO bE rEgiSteREd cOrrEcTLy”, okay well my friends who have been registered correctly have even been towed. “oh if they tow you and you have proof of registration they will just give it back” WELL THEY STILL TOOK MY CAR?? Huge invasion of privacy, you don’t know whats in my car and if you were to damage my vehicle while stealing it simply because “YIPPIE I HAVE A TOW TRUCK AND THESE STUPID POOR COLLEGE STUDENTS DON’T! GIVE ME $200!” Never seen such disgusting displays of greed and arrogance. Deepest hate for anybody that tows someone who “registers wrong” deepest hate for anyone who tows unsolicited. This company sucks. If you work here and you still have the slightest inkling of self respect. leave while you still can because this place just looks like a festering cesspool of arrogance and greed.

Absolutely useless people who work here. They lie to you about registering vehicles and when you can. Then say you still have another day to wait. I keep track of time of when I register a vehicle and they obviously can’t figure out what 4 times in 7 days means.

Tristan was my savior and hero, not to mention my light and in the dark. I was having a normal day when I popped both my tires and he not only got here in record timing but also got my car up a towed away in less than 3 minutes. He was super comforting in my time of horrible distress. I don’t know what I would’ve done without Tristan from On the Road Again towing.
