Called to request a quote for a new tire and the guy was sooooo put out and rude to me in the first 30 seconds on the call.
Don’t like people? Don’t work in customer service.
I came by with a real messed up tire. Once my car was off the wrecker these guys got me a used tire for a decent price. The swap was very quick. I asked to see the old tire for the cause of the flat and the tech showed me the old tire, the damage and explained the cause. I'll be back next time I need new tires! Thanks!

1-Star Review: Disappointing Experience at Rowlett Discount Tire Service
I recently visited for tire replacement and was unfortunately met with an unprofessional experience from the outset. Upon arrival, the owner appeared preoccupied with a personal phone call and smoking, and did not greet or acknowledge me directly. When I inquired about the appropriate person to assist with my tire needs, he simply pointed to another staff member without further engagement.
The individual who approached me seemed possibly impaired and spoke so quietly that I had to repeatedly ask for clarification on what he was saying, which made the interaction frustrating and unproductive. Additionally, the quoted price for the new tires was significantly higher than comparable options I researched at other local providers.
While I appreciate that service lapses can occur, this level of customer disregard prompted me to seek services elsewhere. I would not recommend until they prioritize basic professional standards, such as attentive customer greetings, clear communication, and competitive pricing. Potential customers should consider alternatives for a more reliable and respectful experience.
My wife took her car to get an alignment, she didn’t know what to look for or anything and they screwed her over and made her pay without actually doing an alignment. When I took it up there myself they told me she hit something and messed it up in less than 24 hours and refused to take action for their issues. They’re sexist and will get over on woman who don’t know what’s going on, they’re rude to the customers and only about the money. I would highly recommend anyone to go somewhere else for better customer service!
I often buy used tires here, but this time they changed their policy about a 30 day warranty on all their used tires. Waited until I was paying to tell me about the lack of warranty. I get they are used tires, but the entire reason I used this place was the peace of mind regarding getting a bad tire.
My momma came here to get a tire she noticed the guy was rolling the tire out she asked could she the the whole tire he barley tilted it she asked again he showed it a lil more my mom asked “turn it all the way around” when he did the tire had a nail already in it ? and she was like aw nah it already got a nail in it and he was acting all nervous and looking dumb because he wasn’t trying to roll it where she could see it not only that if you wanna plug your own tires go to Autozone or Walmart get the kit for $5 it comes with t least 10 plugs you can do it yourself idk if they was hoping to sell you bad tires wanting you to come back but it’s the face he knew it had a nail and was trying to hide it ($65 tire comes with nail already in it) so my momma told him she’s not stupid she made him go grab another and when he did she just left so I wouldn’t deal with them, and if they got something to say or wanna say it’s a lie I’ll go up there to film ? it and expose them even more
Service was quick but they charge $20 to mount tire without balancing, a bit pricy for just that and when i asked for balance said it be $10 more, make sure you ask for pricing upfront.
Don’t waste your time in the morning and go to Parkway Car Care down the street. I’ve been a customer here before. Today I went when they said they would be open (8am) for a tire patch and no one is here. This has happened multiple times and when I call to see if someone is coming they don’t answer. They need to update their hours if they aren’t going to be open when they say they are.
Just got my tire plugged from a nail and they charged $10 when flat tire repairs are supposed to be free per the policy online and my past experience. The cost is not a big deal but it’s the principle and I should’ve known it was Sus since they asked for cash. Avoid if you’re a female as they will lie and take advantage. Better off going to a different discount tire
Awesome customer service and quality work. Got an oil change, 4 new tires, and an alignment and was in and out within an hour . Just moved to the area and will be using them for my vehicle needs in the future!
This is my go-to for cheap used tires that will continue to get me down the road. I’ve also had my state inspection done here and they were honest and efficient.
I’ve had other work done here over the years but I’ve learned that if I can’t double-check their work, it’s probably not a good idea. From years of coming here, I believe they are honest and that’s a lot to ask, especially of a low-cost shop. But, things like double-checking tire pressure levels are a reasonable cost to me in exchange for a great value in used tires. I had my oil changed here years ago (a lot could have changed since then) and the big plastic piece that covers the bottom of my engine and transmission fell off, shortly afterward. Thankfully, I had zip ties in the trunk and my car had more character after that. But, if I weren’t handy or didn’t mind some character in my cars, then it might not be the right choice.
Personally, I plan to keep going back, especially as long as I live nearby.
For context I am a U.S. Army soldier and was in uniform. I was on my way home to see my family for the holidays and noticed I had a low pressure tire light. I was directed to their shop and was treated with kindness and respect. They quickly determined one of my tires had a leak and fixed it promptly. When I went to pay they said it was on the house and thanked me for my service. Awesome job and even better people here. I definitely recommend to anyone in need.

Went in today for a used tire. It’s posted online that they open at 8am. I arrived around 8:10… no one was there except another gentleman who was also waiting for them. As I was waiting some of their employees arrived and just parked and waited as well. I asume they don’t have keys to open the place so it’s not the employees’ fault. I waited until 8:30 and left to find another shop. Went to Garland and found a shop that got me in and out in less than 15 minutes. Part of good business is having integrity. If you say your shop opens at certain hour then open it at the specified hour. Some people need to get these type of things done early in the day because of work and other commitments. I had been on the fence about this place because in the past I had been able to have flats repaired or have been able to purchase decent used tires. However, the gentleman who I presume is the owner of the establishment is not very gentleman-like at time. He’s been rude and aggressive when my wife has gone. There’s another younger guy who seems to be either a part owner or kin to the owner, he’s been nicer. It’s a used tire shop so I don’t expect to be pampered but at least treat women well. Doubt I’ll ever be back to this establishment.
After haggling with delays and issues with Valvoline Instant Oil Change. I came to get service on our car and came here to get my inspection and they truly "instantly" saw me and serviced the car and I was out in minutes. I have changed my normal lube and inspection service from now. Keep up the good work.
Sunday I took my car in for 2 tires on the front (only one was bad). They get a 5 for the tires, 5 for speed in and out. Why the low rating, I went in with 4 matching rims and came out with 3. It was on the passenger side so I didn't notice for a couple days. I thought honest mistake and called them. They told me no way it could have happened. No way and check their shop. OH BUT IT DID! I put air the passenger tire the night before and my car is parked in the garage. They claim my silver rim was always the black one on my care now. Then they try and tell me (see arrows in picture. That the slight rust in the center hub proves I was wrong. Funny the nut and threads show no rust. Also the Yellow A in the rim, I believe is how junk yards put grades on them. Even a guy at Honda says that is a spare tire rim, and my spare is still in the trunk.
The ONLY place this could have and did happen at was when my tires were replaced at the shop.
My advice if you go there take pictures before yyou allow them to touch your care.
I was going to have them do more work for me but after this I would rather have a flat than do ANY business with them in the future! So disappointed!
Three weeks ago, I bought four used tires from RDT&A to go on my boat trailer. I took my old tires and rims up to the store, and reinstalled the RDT&A replacements on the trailer when I got home. I have not once driven the trailer out of my garage since. Today one tire blew apart without warning. (See photo.) I took the tire back to the store and they refused to replace it. (Offered $5.00 off if I bought another!) They sold me a DEFECTIVE tire, and would not make it right.
When you have a problem with your tires, and you need help in a hurry. Pull in here. I have always been in and out quickly. Not as high tech as other places but they are nice and normally no wait.
Excellent service! My wife pulled in to get the tire pressure checked on her vehicle because the "Low Tire" indicator came on indicating the right rear tire was extremely low.
She was promptly greeted by the manager who was genuinely interested in assisting her. She asked if someone could check the pressure in that tire. He had her pull into one of the bays and another gentleman not only checked that tire but checked all of the tires and filled them all to the proper levels! She offered to pay them, however, they said it was not necessary and to have a great day! When it comes time to replace our tires we will definitely be back! I highly recommend!
I upgraded wheels but they didn't come with TMPS. So I ordered a set from Amazon. Rowlett Discount Tire and Auto installed them, then mount and balance the tires. Drives like a dream and the TMPS signal is showing up on the dash after less than 5 miles.
Service was quick and they did everything I asked well.
Was In the area for work and found both my tires out. Thank God I solved good reviews of this place, I took the chance and with in 20min thet got me two good condition used tires for $60 and was on my way.
I have never had a single bad experience here! I have been able to find so many of the odd sized tires I need in a pinch for my cars. I have a mini cooper that uses a tire that is not the norm, and I called around to a few other shops and everyone else said they did not have one. When I called and spoke to these guys, not only did they have it, but they had it at a great price! ! The service you get is amazing, and I use them often. If you are in need of a used tire, definitely make sure they are on your short list of places to check out. I have not been disappointed yet!
I got 4 new wheels for my bmw, wanted these guys to put my tires that were on my old wheels that were still installed on my car, onto my new wheels and balance everything. The wheels i got had really nice tires, so i opted to keep two of them, so really i needed 2 rubbers swapped, and two tires balanced.
They still charged me to balance 4 and swap 2,
They also said that it would be cheapest for me to take all of my old rims and tires with me but after I got home and popped my trunk it dawned on me they kept two of the run flat tires that were really nice that were originally on my car.
The thing that makes all of this really bad is that 1 of my tires was completely deflated about half a block away from their shop when I was leaving. So I called them in they basically told me anything could have happened in that they weren't going to help me out. My card didn't have a Jack inside of it so I literally had to get my car towed from a bout half a block away from their shop. Luckily the tow truck driver showed me that the valve stem wasn't seated properly, so he tightened it up and put air in it but the tire continued to go flat so I took it to Firestone where they showed to me the damage caused from driving it while it was flat.
And to top it all off, one of the wheels that i just bought was scratched and gouged, with fresh clean metal flakes still falling off of it.
So these guys over charged me, damaged one of my new wheels, kept 2 of my runflat tires, left the valve stem loose, cost me a virtually bran new tire with less than 200 miles on it, refused to help me when I was in a rock throw distance.
The most infuriating thing, is that these people's characters was obvious to me after talking to them for about 5 minutes. I ignored my gut, mainly because discount tire was closed on sunday, and ntb & Firestone were too booked up to get to a full tire/wheel swap.
Avoid this place like the plague.
