Auto Fix it is the only shop I will bring my vehicles to. They have always been fair and honest when fixing anything I’ve brought to them! They stand behind their work and if anything was wrong after repairing it, they have warranty it and makes sure to ensure the job was done correctly!

I first took my GMC Sierra to Auto Fix It over 10 years ago. I’ve been a repeat customer since for maintenance and repairs. It has over 290,000 miles now. Thanks to Bobby and his team it runs like a brand new truck. They do great work at a reasonable price.

The owner provided honest work, and I couldn't ask for a better quality of service. I took my Tahoe to a Chevy dealership, which gave me an alarming list of all the brake work needed, but Auto Fix It identified the real issue at just a quarter of the cost that the Plano Chevy dealership quoted. I had another car with problems that two repair shops, including a large Ford dealership, couldn't diagnose. Auto Fix It found both issues. I was considering selling both cars and buying new vehicles, but Auto Fix saved me from the hassle of owning older cars. I finally trusted another mechanic in the DFW area. **January 2024 Update:** Bobby takes care of my commercial Tahoe, which has over 130k miles. I use it for my business and drive about 30k miles a year. I often keep the car idling for hours while I go out to job sites with my Doberman Pinscher in the back. Bobby has saved me a lot of money by preventing me from spending $85k on a brand-new Tahoe. The dealership can’t match how quickly Auto Fix It services my vehicle. Bobby and his mechanics keep it running perfectly. Thank you!

Paid 2k, stuck without a car for 3 months, got the car back with more problems. Detail: I wasn’t originally planning to leave this review because I understand that mistakes happen, and I didn’t want to hold it against them. However, after checking my dash cam and discovering more issues with my car, I feel it’s only fair to share my experience. I dropped my car off in October 2024 for an oil leak repair and a steering rack replacement (I provided the part myself). Later that week, they called to tell me the work was done, but they had broken my ECM during the repair and needed time to fix it. They asked for a week, and I agreed. A week later, I went in to pick up the car, paid for the work, and was about to leave when they told me the car wasn’t running properly again. They asked me to come back the next day. From that point, it became a nightmare. Every Monday, I checked in to see if the car was ready, and they told me to check back later in the week. When I followed up on Fridays, they said it still wasn’t running right. It felt like they were just waiting for me to give up and take the car somewhere else. Eventually, they told me the car was ready to pick up. After I got it back, I noticed pink liquid on my bumper, so I took it to Firestone for an inspection. Firestone found multiple coolant leaks (Photo 1), and someone had attempted to patch the leaks with silicone. While some might argue the coolant could have been leaking before, Firestone confirmed the coolant was fresh, and I know I hadn’t changed it. It’s pretty clear to me the leaks were caused during their repair. To make matters worse, the hood rod holder was broken, and they "fixed" it with a zip tie (Photo 2). At this point, I was fed up and decided to check my dash cam. My dash cam records whenever the car is running or the power is on, but there was no footage from the end of October to early January. As far as I know, working on the ECM requires powering on the car, so it’s hard to believe they were working on it during those two months. It seems likely they didn’t work on the car at all and lied about it. In summary: - They broke my car during the repair. - They hid their mistakes, hoping I wouldn’t find out. - They lied about working on my car for two months.

Extremely Overpriced Came here for installation of front and back license plates - basic screw driver work. I didn’t have screwdriver on me; and Bobby charged me $25. He knew he was overcharging me cuz he started to explain himself that the mechanic will need to clean the area; clean what? It’s just new license plates I picked up from County Office next door. RIP OFF

Bobby and his staff are wonderful! They are honest, reliable and friendly. They have helped me out with a couple of my vehicles and even gave me information for other local mechanic shops that operate with integrity when needed. I highly recommend this shop!

Bobby and his team are GREAT. I have gone to them for all services on my Mazda since moving to Dallas and I’ve always had a fantastic experience. Bobby goes above and beyond to make sure everything is done to a high standard and at a fair price. As someone new to the city, Bobby and his team exceeded my expectations - so worth the drive to see them!

So impressed with the honesty! I took my car here after a little oil change place told me I needed new brakes and pads front and back and quoted me $1000! At Auto Fix It they told me I still have plenty of life left and didn't charge me a cent! This place is not near my house, but I will drive all the way there whenever needed!

I started taking my 1997 black chevy Suburban to Auto-Fix-It in 2000 when the shop was under different ownership. The previous owners ran an honest shop and took really good care my vehicle and I eventually put over 240,000 miles on it. Bobby bought the shop a few years later and I was happy to see that he made some improvements and continued running an efficient and honest shop. Bobby worked on my 2006 black Suburban (208,000 miles) and the morning I sold it, I took it to Bobby since Kwik Kar on Legacy told me it didn't pass inspection because the brake booster was bad. But they could fix it for $675. So I took it to Bobby who quickly called me back and said it was fine. I then told him to check it out to see if there was anything it needed since I was selling and didn't want to pass off a bad vehicle. Bobby put it on the rack, checked it out, called me back and said “I don't see anything that I can take your money for”. The vehicle is solid. My bill = $0. I drove off actually feeling kind of bad that he spent time checking it out and didn't charge me anything. You just can't beat an honest shop. Just a few days ago I took my wife’s black 2014 Jeep Wrangler to Bobby because the check engine light was on. Bobby checked it out and said “put a new gas cap on it”. He put it on the machine and everything checked out so more than likely it’s the gas cap. My bill=$0. So I put a new cap on it from Amazon and that fixed the problem. Over the years I have spent money at AutoFixIt but many time Bobby didn’t take my money. This only happens at an honest shop and a honest shop deserves an honest review.

Special thanks to Bobby Caldwell at Auto FIXIT (1421 I Avenue, Plano TX) for his work on my 20 year old Lexus GX470 that had a radiator leak. I had my car towed there at week's end and Bobby said he could look at it on the following Monday, which he did. I asked him to also repair/replace all my shock absorbers at the same time. When I asked how long until it might be done, he answered about 3 PM the same day. Indeed, it was done completely at what I judge to be fair prices. When we came to pick up the car (borrowed my daughters car) he noticed one my daughter's tires was nearly flat and he fixed that before my wife and I drove off. He's that kind of man. Service was great. I'll recommend them to anyone looking for a place to get their automobile repaired.

Bobby runs this place and he does a great job. Very quick inspection service, and he can do almost any job on vehicles that you would need.

I have literally always had a great experience for a dozen or more visits. The staff is friendly and helpful. The owner, Bobby, is willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything is done quickly and with great service. I know auto repair shops and mechanics can be a little sketchy sometimes but Auto Fixit does a great and honest job and at good prices. I never try anywhere else anymore unless I have no choice.

The service was fast and awesome! One thing I personally liked is that the receptionist was on leave, Bobby responded each and every customer call routed to his cell while working with his staff, talking to customers in his shop and looking at the cars, truely multitasking. I would definitetly recommend this place.

I come here to Bobby for oil changes and filters. Just recently they helped me with sway bar links etc. I trust them and they’re always reasonable and affordable! They’ve come through for me each time!! Love these guys.

Great customer service and job performance! Matt (mechanic) took the time to explain to me under the hood what was going on and he diagnosed it perfectly. It was easy to see Matt is highly experienced. The whole crew at this shop was very friendly and accommodating. This is a shop you can trust. There is no question where I will be taking my truck for any kind of service in the future.

I have known about Auto Fix It for about a year now and worked with Bobby. I only go to him for my oil changed or anything that is wrong with my car. He has always been helpful and does honest work. I refer many people to Bobby because I know that he is honest trustworthy mechanic not like others who would take full advantage. Highly recommend.

Took my car in to be fixed and picked it up with no repairs. They will return your car the same way you dropped it off. Then tell you it’s fine with the engine and brake light still on. Don’t go here. If you want bad customer service and wasted money, this is your place. This is my second time experiencing this with two separate vehicles.

Have taken many vehicles over the past years for a variety of issues and have great experiences each time. Prompt and honest service with very reasonable labor rates for quality work. If you need a mechanic you can trust and rely on, Bobby and his team are the real deal.

Do not trust this man. Bobby STOLE MY CAR!!! Never called me to let me know my vehicle was ready. I dropped it off a year ago after wrecking it and have called at least 50 times, left messages. I have gone to the auto repair shop demanding my vehicle back and each time he tells me it’s somewhere else. I can’t believe the dishonesty and lack of effort this man has made. I know this sounds crazy that I let this happen but I am a young broke college student who has paid $2,000 for repairs on this car that is no longer in his possession. I have no idea how to get my car back. Yes, he has STOLEN MY VEHICLE.

Bobby is an honest and good man. His shop replaced the engine in my Toyota Venza. His folks did a great job I would not hesitate to take my cars back to him in the future. Randy

I was referred to Auto Fix It by 4WheelParts because Bobby and his crew did quality work for their customers. Before deciding to use Auto Fix It, I shopped around prices and it was obvious that Auto Fix It’s pricing was competitively positioned and often times lower. I’ve had them change shocks and install new springs on my 2015 Mercedes G63. They did a great job. I would def recommend them to friends and family.

This shop stands out in my mind above the rest. Bobby is completely honest and upfront. He's worked on mine and my brothers truck. Both times he was quicker and less expensive then the other quotes we had gotten. One of his guys is an E46 guru and that's the next car I'll take in. He actually answers or calls you back and even responds to texts. I'll keep bringing my vehicles here.

This repair shop is THE WORST. We will never use them again and I'll spend every spare moment I have telling everyone I ever meet not to use them as well. We used them initially because they were close and had good reviews (how, I have no idea). We took them a car that needed a tricky brake pad repair that my son had started and couldn't finish. They were able to finish the work in a reasonable amount of time for an exorbitant amount of money. We paid the repair cost and were happy that was done. Then the brake issue returned a few months later. We took the car back, as we were told there was a warranty on the work for one year. This is when the problems started. They clearly don't want to do the warranty work and they've done everything in their power to avoid it. They asked us to leave the car there and they'd get to it the next day, but it took them almost a week to even get to the car. And when they did they told us it was something else wrong and they'd have to charge us again. We were aggravated but went ahead with it. Now, several weeks later, the problem is back AGAIN. We called again, expecting it to definitely be warranty work now, because there's literally nothing else new to do to the brakes, and they are giving us the run around. First, they said they'd do a ride along and to bring it in one specific day after lunch. We did and they said the ride along guy wasn't there and to come back the next day in the morning. We did, and guess what - the ride along guy isn't there again and to check back in a couple hours. Apparently no one else can do the ride along except the one mysterious ride along guy who keeps not showing up to work. Don't offer a warranty if you won't honor it. They clearly want us to take the car somewhere else so they won't have to honor their warranty and that is exactly what we'll do. It's aggravating that we have to spend money somewhere else to fix their mistake, when the honorable thing to do would be for them to fix what they broke, but I guess you can't always depend on people to do the right thing.

Auto Fix It has looked after my car as well as those of my son and daughter for about 5 years now. Bobby is very knowledgeable and trustworthy, and he always tells it like it is - no fuss, no upsell, just good solid advice and recommendations. I'm glad to have found a small local owner-operated shop like this.

I had an extremely negative experience coming here. I came in the late afternoon hoping to get an oil change. Once I came in, I was promptly ignored by three of the workers there. I was referred here by another auto shop to speak with Bobby, who would take care of my oil change. After waiting and everyone seeming to ignore me, a kind employee came into the store and asked if I needed any assistance (not Bobby). I told him I needed to get an oil change done. The nice employee then asked who I assumed to be Bobby whether this is possible. I was told that they aren’t doing anymore oil changes for the day since they told the other workers to leave (understandable). The main issue was the unprofesionalism and how the situation was handled. I didn’t feel welcome when I came into the shop nor was I acknowledged. I would also like to address that I am a woman, which I believe played a major part as to why I experienced this. If anything, I highly recommend you check out Auto Xpress off of Main Street in Allen. My car was serviced within 10 minutes, everyone there was welcoming and professional, and the price was such a great deal. If I could give Auto Fix It zero stars, I would.

I cannot sing praises loud enough for Auto Fix It & it's manager, Bobby Caldwell!!! Nearly a year ago, I was selling one of my cars & it had some mechanical issues that needed to be repaired before I could do so. When I spoke to my dealer about said repairs, I was quoted am excruciating price & given a lengthy wait time. I googled for local mechanics with great reviews & this place came up. Bobby got my car in immediately & fixed everything for an extremely reasonable price! I was thrilled that I could, then, sell my car in good conscience. & the young man who bought it for me says it's not given him a single problem in all the time he's had it. Secondly, I have a leased car that is almost due to be turned in & my air conditioning stopped working. Again, my dealer told me it would take some time. More importantly, even though any repair would be covered under my warranty, he quoted a $160. diagnostic test fee! To me, that was absurd!!! Bobby got me right in, again...& found the problem. & he DIDN'T charge me!!!! So, I was able to go to the dealer & have them repair it for free, with the information Bobby had given me. Being a woman, a LOT of car "folks" are very condescending & abrasive in their demeanor towards me. Bobby treats me with respect, which is most appreciated & he explains things that are beyond my basic knowledge. I ABSOLUTELY trust him & his technicians! They are thorough, MORE than fair, give above & beyond quality service & expedite one's requests. Even though I will still use my dealer for a number of things, since my car is leased, I will ALWAYS use Bobby for ANYTHING that ISN'T covered! PHENOMENAL!!!!!!

This is the ONLY place my husband and I take our cars. Bobby always takes great care of us with honest upfront pricing and work. We moved to McKinney and still take our cars all the way down here for oil changes and inspections. You can't beat a good mechanic!

Bobby and his team are the best! Honest, professional and efficient. I used to take my cars to places like Goodyear and Firestone but when you compare the quality of service and cost, there is simply no comparison. I highly recommend Auto Fix It for all of your car needs. -Jonathan
