My car broke down in Hondo, it was very late, I was alone, and I was frustrated. I called my husband and instead of paying $200 to tow my car, he decided it best for me to go next door to the (very comfortable) Regency Inn Hotel and rest, and work on the headache (car) the following morning. From prior incidents, I knew it was probably spark plug failure on our ("oil burning- should have been recalled") Hyundai Migraine. My husband joined me at the Advanced Auto Parts as two employees got busy being the nicest people we have ever met! Mr. Jose and Mrs. Ruby set the bar to such an extreme level of customer service that was not only a breath of fresh air, but also timely in its aspirin-like application to our Hyundai Migraine. Amen! Mr. Jose donned his white coat (cape) and diagnostic weapon of choice.... The malady was, indeed, the SPARK PLUGS! I asked if we could borrow the 10mm and 16mm sockets needed, and within 30 seconds Mr. Jose was himself removing the bugers. Upon realizing that the Hyundai Migraine would also need the ignition coils replaced, he quickly ordered them from another store, asked us to come back in a few hours when they would be delivered, and stated that he would assist with the coil problem too. To our amazement, Mr. Jose surgically transplanted 4 new coils in less than 10 minutes. We kept thanking him, and he simply kept repeating, "it's my job." Not true, sir. You exceeded your job by a Texas mile! What you did... you are my hero. I have grown up with the likes of Pick N Pull and AutoZone... but I have a new Texas fave, Advanced Auto!! I cannot thank you enough. You and Mrs Ruby are so kind and gracious. God Bless. What this gentleman did for us is not in his job description. What he did was beyond an employee of the month plaque. This is the kick in the pants that American companies need to survive this generation of viruses and basement video gamers. He is very knowledgeable, and clearly loves his job. ... Let's show a lil' love back to him (and Mrs Ruby)...

I can not say enough what a blessing coming here was. I was stressed with the Check engine light on in my vehicle. Kyle assisted me with running the codes and was able to make a suggestion on what to do next. He went above and beyond for me in a stressful situation. He has such a sweet, patient and helpful demeanor. We will definitely be back in the future!

First time going been in the Hondo area 7 years in I need to get my inspection sticker in my horn was not working thought it was the fuse but the worker Kyle who work there last night help me and my wife so much I mean he went out the way to figure the problem out and he didn't give up until he figured the problem out he was so nice to my wife and so motivated to help us out any one go there I Recommend y'all ask for Kyle that's one worker I know will help you keep up the good work Mr Kyle motivation is the key and I can tell you love what you do

I must say, I am very impressed with the outstanding customers service! My vehicle has been having issues and no one could figure out the problem… I explained, rep suggested what the issue sounded like, came out to take a look and sure enough, Ignition Coils! The part was ordered within minutes with next day pickup! I understand new businesses in small communities sometimes have a difficult time gaining momentum so I hope my experience can help ease someone’s mind when trying to make their next vehicle decision!
