I have been going to Lenko at Pro-Tec for 10 years now. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, fast, and affordable. They are by far the best mechanics in town, I cannot recommend them highly enough!
Top notch service! Was in town for a business meeting, late afternoon on a Friday and blew a belt. Pro-Tec was the closest shop, so I limped the car over and they had me back on the road in less than hour. Friendly and courteous.
Called Chris about my car 97 Toyota giving a bit of hesitation. He said to bring it by and him and Lee replaced my fuel filter and I was back in the road. 10/10 recommend
I had a belt on my car break & I was able to get my car to Pro -Tech shop. They were able to get the belt @ install it on the car. However upon starting the car it threw the belt off the pulley. They had to fix or replace another part as well. We were going on vacation the next day. They worked on my car & by the next morning they had it ready to go. I was able to get it before going on vacation. I was pleased. with the speed & service & the frequent updates I received while my car was in the shop for repair. My car ( Which I refer to as MY BABY) Is back & rolling Again. Thanks Pro- Tech!!
Pro Tec automotive repair did a great job! Donna in the front office is very nice and professional. I would recommend to everyone to Call around to get estimates! The diagnostic fee varies greatly from shop to shop! I’m glad to report that Pro Tec has the Cheapest Diagnostic fee at $67 or $68. Plus the quote was cheaper to put in a new starter in a 2012 GMC Acadia than the other 3 shops that I called! Gladney Automotive repair in College Station had the highest diagnostic fee at $320 which was outrageous. I would recommend everybody do their homework!
Once again Pro Tex Auto Repair checked out another vehicle for me. They went over it checking for oil and transmission leaks. They assured me my truck was ok. It gave great confidence that I was good to go in a day trip to see family. Again Thank You, Pro-Tec

Very friendly employees and fair prices. I enjoyed how easy it was to schedule repairs and the process for approving repairs was very nice. They send you pictures and you can see the price breakdowns before you decide what repairs you want to do or not do.
First time needing a repair shop in College Station for my son’s truck and I’m 3 hrs away. Pro-Tech was recommended as being trustworthy and reliable and not only were they both of those things but they were quick - new alternator and broken axle - truck was ready in less than 2 days. They were super nice on the phone answering questions and patient with questions and a life savor recommending a towing company they worked with often. The whole process was so easy and stress-free because of Pro-Tech’s professionalism and knowledge. I would definitely recommend Pro-Tech and will only ever use their service in the college station area in the future.
Hello parents, you can trust these guys with your college students vehicles. They did a great job on a tough troubleshooting situation with my daughter’s 2016 Jeep. It now runs great! They are also great with sending pictures and explaining the problem.
The nicest skilled auto mechanics on the block. They know their trade and they're good at what they do, so it's icing on the cake that they don't take advantage of you. If you walk in with a problem you don't know the answer to, but it turns out to be a simple solution, they don't string you along, charging you an arm and a leg for unnecessary inspections and diagnostics. Just wish we had more guys like them.
Friendly knowledgeable people. DJ did my alinement and then found and repaired the coolant leak. Helen kept everything running smoothly and still was able to see that I had anything I needed while waiting. Oh, the chairs in the waiting room are too comfortable, I dozed off a couple of times. There's a TV and a mini fridge with bottled water.
Did I mention, they do a really good and have a bid military discount.
First time posting a review on Pro-Tec even though I've been going there for years. The owner goes above and beyond to provide the best service! They are honest and do right by the customer! I've only ever had one issue, out of the MANY years I've been going here, with a vehicle brought in and they were quick to correct the mistake. That goes to show the character and quality of the person running this establishment. If you are looking for a good shop that is fair in customer service and prices, than take your vehicle into Pro-Tech. They'll take care of you!
Good, knowledgeable folks. They were able to get me in the same day and replaced the fuel pump in my 2011 Ford F150. Price was on-par with other quotes I got from other shops.
I needed to change my AC compressor. They charged me 1700$ for it. But the AC still didn't work well after that. I asked for the link of je parts they'd be using, because the price of the parts they were quoting were about 250$ more than the ones I saw online. They refused fo share a link with me. The lack of transparency bothered me. And all of that just for a shoddy repair that didn't do the job.
I sold the car not long afterwards, but I won't be returning again.
I’ve been going to the shop for a few years now and they’ve always been helpful reliable and direct to the point so can’t ask for anything more with something so expensive as automotive repair. Thanks for your service guys. also, it looks like my Subaru is gonna need a replacement strut given the road damage that apparently fell into. Already talked with your mechanic and we pinpointed that it’s a strut so I’ll see you soon
Great customer service as I arrived about 10 minutes before they officially opened. So nice and they followed up with detail list of concerns and photos. Authorized work at noon car done by 4:30 same day. Super place to get work done.
I had the battery replaced and routine maintenance work. The work was done efficiently and the car was ready as promised. I especially like the inspection system used which includes photos showing any areas of concern. The business has a friendly atmosphere and I rely on their honesty and expertise.

Loved the place. I was my first time to try the business. I had good things about their service. The employees were friendly and very helpful. I was given an estimate of the service and very surprised to when I went to pay it was less than quoted. Definitely a winner.
This shop is awesome, used them several times. Just brought my truck in for an oil change and to check the ac. Had the ac repaired with them along with another issue on the truck 3 months ago, they diagnosed the issues quickly and repaired them with no problems. My ac failed again and they repaired it at no charge!! Unfortunately a fitting failed from the first repair but they where HONEST about the failure. That's why I return to them!! They could've said it was another failure and charge me, but that's not how they operate. Great business ethics guys!! Thank you very much. Happy returning customer!
