These guys are great! Honest and on time. You can trust them!!! We just moved from out of town and i had a lot of work to do on a vehicle that i am giving to my daughter, so it had to be done right. Bobby not only gave me a great deal but was also upfront and honest when communicating the details of what needed to be fixed. I would give them six stars if i could.
Words can’t even begin to describe how good this place has been to me. I refuse to let anyone touch my truck except for them. Jon is an incredible service advisor and Bobby has the best shop in town. From timing and cam phasers, to oil leak, and ac compressor having to be warrantied. they are always so nice, reasonable, and fair. I can’t say enough good things about Aggieland automotive!
It took a week longer than they said. They never called me to tell me what was going on, I had to call myself multiple times. After a week I got my car back when it was supposed to be two days. And now my car is making horrible noises I’ve never had an issue with. They were just supposed to fix the AC condenser, and now my whole motor shakes like crazy. I think they shook something loose and messed something up and trying to cover it up is why it took much longer than expected. 100% unsatisfied and they were very unprofessional. Will not be going back.
Subject: Feedback on Recent Experience with Aggieland Automotive
I wanted to share my recent experience with my 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis, particularly regarding the challenges I faced with the air conditioning. I initially stopped by Aggieland Automotive to have a mechanic take a look, but I had to schedule an appointment for Tuesday, August 19, to address the issue of my AC not blowing cold air. Unfortunately, they were unable to assist me on Saturday, August 16, which was especially frustrating given the 100% extreme heat outside. I chose Aggieland Automotive because the previous owner had taken the car there, and Mr. Meadows mentioned he remembered Mr. Rowland.
In urgent need of help, I decided to stop by Sevcik's Service Center while running errands at Walmart. To my relief, they were able to examine my vehicle within an hour. The front desk staff were incredibly professional and accommodating. They quickly diagnosed the problem, and soon my car was blowing cold air again. I was pleasantly surprised by their reasonable prices compared to other shops that had longer wait times.
After my visit, I took a moment to read reviews about Aggieland Automotive and was disheartened to find that many were not favorable. This experience has underscored the importance of quality service when choosing an auto repair shop.
I had a very pleasant experience at Aggieland Automotive. I took my vehicle here for the sole purpose of getting a second opinion because I had taken my vehicle to another local automotive repair shop here in town, and was told that I needed new tires, 4-wheel alignment, upper and lower control arm's, ball joints, oh, and struts before the alignment could be done. I was totally aware that I did indeed needed tires and an alignment because the tires had been wearing very badly to the inside, and cords were showing on both front tires.I might add that all of the parts and labor was going to cost me $5500.00 on a SUV that was only 6-yrs old and driven mainly on the highway for work and home. The other repair shop basically wanted to rebuild my entire front end of my SUV, hence why I took it to Aggieland Automotive. Needless to say that all of my suspension parts mentioned above by the other repair shop who deemed them faulty was not necessary to replace to achieve an alignment. Bottom line is that everything checked out in good working condition, and everything was good and tight and our SUV was aligned and rides very smoothly. Thank you to the team at Aggieland Automotive for your complete honesty and professionalism in repairing our vehicle. Y’all have definitely earned my automotive repair business from this day forward. I also wanted to add that the total cost of the alignment was less then $100.00, so If you want an honest, trustworthy, reliable repair shop that wont bankrupt you, take your vehicles to Aggieland Automotive.
I can’t say enough good things about Aggieland Automotive. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with professionalism, honesty, and genuine care. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain exactly what was going on with my vehicle—no upselling, no pressure, just straight-up great service. Tried to overcharge my daughter.
I sent my daughter in today for an alignment. They noticed a couple of things: the pitman arm and idler arm needed torquing down and he said the lower ball joint needed to be replaced.
He quoted me $476 JUST TO TORQUE TWO NUTS! I spent no more than 20 minutes torquing them down. If you round up and say 30 minutes labor that’s $952 an hour. That’s trying to rip off a teenage girl walking in.
They quoted $425 plus parts for replacing the lower ball joint. I can understand that quote, but to torque two nuts they quoted even more.
I looked at it and it wasn’t even the lower ball joint. Both driver and passenger tie rods ends had about 1/8” to maybe 1/4” of play. That’s actually what needed to be replaced. They probably eventually would have found it, but they would have needlessly replaced the lower ball joint.
I had a great experience at Aggie Automotive! I came in for a tire alignment and was really impressed with how quick and efficient the service was. The price was very reasonable, and they were upfront about everything—no surprise charges or hidden fees. I also appreciated that they take appointments, which made the whole process smooth and convenient. The staff was clear, honest, and professional. Definitely recommend them if you’re looking for reliable and trustworthy auto service!
I will not go back to them. All I needed was an alignment and they tried to tell me I needed new bushings and bearings. I told them I just had them replaced. They could not respond except “we can’t due the alignment “.
I have been going here for over 15 years and have had lots of work on different vehicles done. I have never had a problem with the repairs and have found their prices very competitive.
Aggieland Automotive was recommended by a buddy and it was the best recommendation I could have had. They were honestly, quick and upfront about everything. My car is running great and I’ll keep on using them for all of my future vehicles!
I am really glad that I took my car to this location. As someone who owns an older car, repairs are quite frequent.
I received a really good and honest inspection on my vehicle the same day that I dropped it off. They gave me an itemized quote for the repairs, and the workers were really good at communication and giving me recommendations on what I should do with my car for the future.
Overall, no one likes car issues, but I believe that Aggieland Automotive gives an honest inspection and quote on your vehicle, and they have no interest in ripping you off.
Do not use this shop. They will cause damage to your vehicle and not take the blame.
Edit in response to the owner. You are the one that brought up a different part of the vehicle and then argued that point. I left because there was no point in trying to resolve the issue with an untrustworthy business owner. The issue has been resolved by a reputable company. I will never use or recommend your service to anyone that lives by true Aggie values! Keep your video because you're going to show and edit as you see fit to hide the shady practices of your business.
I could not be happier. Had a fuel pump going bad, and I took it to another place first. I could tell I was going to be paying more than necessary there, so I changed my mind and went back to old reliable Aggieland automotive. These guys shoot straight, they charge a sensible diagnostic fee and offer military discount. My repair was done in under 24 hours which was crazy and I am so pleased. The price was easily $500 cheaper than I expected. These guys are real mechanics.
BEWARE. There is blatant dishonesty and laziness with little care when it comes to taking care of your car and communicating with the technicians. All they did was a simple fuel pump replacement. Twice on the phone and once in person I reminded Nick to put ONLY E85 fuel in the car and that it will NOT run correctly on gasoline. So when I picked up my car, Nick tells me that they let it idle for 10 minutes and took it for a test drive after filling it up with E85 fuel and it runs perfect. So, I had Nick bring out the technician that worked on my car and I personally thanked him for the work before I asked him what fuel they put in. He told me he put REGULAR fuel in and was not told to put any other fuel, as they do not even have E85 fuel in the shop. Then I asked how they were able to do a test drive with the wrong fuel, and he told me that the car never left the lot!
Had I not talked to the technician before I left to ask about the fuel, I would have driven the car and destroyed the engine within the first couple miles down the road.
I had to spend an hour and a half going across town to buy a gas can and filling it with the correct fuel before heading back to the shop where they siphoned out the gas and I was able to put the right fuel back in my car.
I went back inside and talked to (presumably) the owner and let them know that because they idled the car for 10 minutes on the wrong fuel, that if I run into any future problems within the next week that they will be held fully responsible for it. They gave me a reimbursement and accepted liability.
Awesome owner and employees. Took my car here after multiple shops gave me high prices or would not work my car. I called and spoke with the owner and mechanics explaining what was going on and they gave me a very fair price and have been very honest. They have taken very good care of my car and done excellent work. Definitely will be taking my car here from here on out!

Update - Oct. 2, 2024.......highly recommend getting a second opinion on any repairs over $200.00....USED to be trustworthy.....
Had an oil leak fixed there. Only 3 months have passed and here I am getting the same repair done and the same part replaced, this time at a different shop. My vehicle also left their shop with a check engine light on that was not on before bringing it in.
Have a Daughter @ A&M. Twice now have needed assistance with her vehicle there. We are hundreds of miles away. Was referred to Aggieland Automotive... and we are so happy we have connected with this shop. It's hard to find simple straight forward auto mechanics these days. This company is the epitome of quality, integrity, common sense, and truly caring about helping their customers. They have not tried to up-sell me anything, their diagnosis fee on a recent concern was zero because they didn't find a concern... nor did they make one up !
Love Aggieland Automotive... they are awesome and we are comfortable our Daughter's car will be taken care of properly over the next couple years. Thanks for the piece of mind guys!

I have been a customer of Aggieland Automotive for the past few years, ever since moving to college station for undergrad. I have found them to be fair and respectful in every experience. Their price and quality work are a combination that cannot be beaten and I can honestly say that I will not use another mechanic shop from anything from inspections to fuel injector replacement in the college station/bryan area.

Original post: I was referred to this business by Discount Tire in Bryan to get a wheel stud replacement on a rear tire at no charge which I completed Oct 27, 2022. I haven’t had any work done to the car since then nor had anything happen to my vehicle to otherwise cause the issue: a loud clicking sound on the rear side when braking. I found out that has happened due to the rotor not being correctly aligned when the wheel stud repair was done. So after getting a free repair it is costing me money to fix your staff’s mistake. I called the office to relay but sharing here to make sure others referred by Discount Tire are aware.
Top notch service above and beyond expectations. Repaired my son’s car with a battery issue, alignment and took care of engine light. As I did not have transportation, they gave me ride back to my hotel while they worked on it! Incredibly reasonable charge for service! These guys went above and beyond for me. Kudos to Brian, Alex and John. Appreciate you all.
It was an amazing experience. The staff is knowledgeable and patient and will never throw you under the bus.
I've seen nothing but quality work from them or I wouldn't have gone there.
I do my own car maintenance/repair, so to choose a quality shop is no easy task for me.
Not to mention there well placed in the city so you can move about easily and find things to do or places to eat is just as simple.
Well worth checking out and I'm glad I went there.
