I needed a tow to Nissan dealership and was given a price, given an ETA, and had a driver show up when expected. This place gave me very good customer service, they were friendly & very helpful. Thanks y’all!
I had a car that needed to be hauled to a mechanic due to engine trouble. They took me to a mechanic that was 10 miles away from my local place and overcharged me. Do not waste your money here, they will do what they want with no regards for your situation.

Top notch service, when my smart car left me stranded I was a bit worried but one call to self made got me to safety swiftly.
The driver was even nice enough to give me a ride stop for me to grab food since I had not eaten.
Called at 9am to have a car towed, was quoted $135, the tow driver came at 9:40am then left at 10am to go pick up a different car and left mine and told me they would be right back, came back at 11:14am, and then told me it would be a $100 up charge so now $235 at 12pm. Complete waste of time, not reliable, and random up charges. The car was parked in a parking lot, easily accessible, no hassle. I told them they should’ve told me about the upcharge at 9:40am when they saw the car initially and I would’ve called someone else and told them they didn’t have to come back. I told them the car needed to be removed by 12 today, guess they thought I would be desperate and decided to upcharge me. Told them I would pay the $135 they quoted me, if not they could put my car back down. They didn’t honor their quote, I ended up calling winwood motor company in Santa Fe way better service!!
I used this company for an unexpected tow. My car broke down while making deliveries for work. After calling around to several places, I’m glad I chose Self Made. The quote given was the most affordable and the service was great! The woman I spoke with ensured that she would have a driver to me in less than 30 min. She kept her word and driver showed up in half that time!! Tow Driver quickly and efficiently loaded my car and safely towed it to my home. I was very pleased with the price, customer service, and the speed and quality of the services requested. For future tows, I will be using Self Made!
Got my semi stuck up to the front axle in the mud. He came out at 11pm to a field and got me out with no damage, as a matter of fact he straightened out my bumper! Nice guy, Dave, would definitely recommend.
If you need a tow, call these guys first. They towed me a while back just a few miles, but they didn't try to destroy my wallet like everyone else I called. The driver was very knowledgeable And skilled great guy. The the lady on the phone was absolutely awesome. Thank you guys.
We had a situation with a belt that left us unable to drive any further for fear it would cause damage. Lucky for us we spotted a Self Made Tow Truck driver in the parking lot. I googled, called the number. The dispatch woman was helpful and called the driver on her personal cell to tell him to Hang tight as we had our 10 month old in the car. He was there within seconds once I got the quote and had our vehicle where it needed to be within 40 minutes including the 30 minute drive to get to the location. He was quick, efficient and very friendly! 5 stars for helping this Mama out in a time of need in 105 degree weather! And the price was reasonable and fair! I highly recommend using this company when you are in a bind and need help asap!
These guys are amazing drove 45 mins away from their side of town to come get us off the side of the road after a wreck. Fast response time great customer service would recommend them to anyone that is in need

My car broke down this morning on the way to work, I called all the local places in the area and no one was available. Reached out to Self Made Towing and had immediate service. They came from Alvin to Rosharon. The service was great!! I would highly recommend!! Thank you again
Was quoted about $70 for an SUV tow, the lady on the phone did not ask me if it was a 4WD, so when the guy arrived, he told me it was $100 extra to take 2 minutes to install the dollies from off his truck. Paid $170 cash after we got to my house, stared at him as he drove off without him telling me goodbye or giving a receipt. Called the next day (and was asked if it was 4WD) to find out it should have been $100 total. Owner pretended to be an employee on the phone and blamed a "new pricing system" and did not attempt to give me the $70 I am owed, but asked someone to send a receipt to my email, which, after waiting until the next week, I have not received. I was even told "you didn't HAVE to pay it" early in the conversation. He defended the driver as not likely to have scammed me himself. I will remove this review if I am refunded. This occurred 2/11/22.
I experienced a road side emergency and my call was quickly answered & a truck was immediately dispatched to get me taken care of. The driver was very polite and helpful and took great care in handling my car and getting it taken to a repair shop. I was very pleased with the great sevice.
I needed to have my semi unstuck from me being dumb. Called them and they were very helpful. Had me out and going in a very short time. David is a great guy and knows his stuff very well and his wife is amazing. I wasn't exactly calm but she remained calm and calmed me down a bit. Hope to never have to use them again but if I do would have no problem with it.
Family member hit a curb and blew out both tires. Waited almost 4 hours for an insurance (GEICO) provided tow truck that never showed up. Called this tow company, gave them vehicle info, paid them upfront because they knew insurance had already been called. (Totally understand that, because vehicle may not have been there when they show up to tow it and had to protect themselves) I woke up the poor on call girl, twice, and they had the vehicle in my driveway within 50 minutes. He just left and it’s 2:40am. There was also a jack and the nuts from the spare near the car and the tower had the common sense to pick everything up and put them in the back of the vehicle. Amazing rate they charged for this time of night. 5 Stars! Hopefully won’t have to anytime soon but I’ll definitely be using them again. Do you not want to give away their rates, but it was great rate!
My wife's car was hit from behind and was roll over. God bless she is find and just can't find her phone. The car was towed by self made towing company.. When we got home, we tracked the phone still in the car, then we come to their property next day, the owner is very nice and she helped me find the phone in the car's lower dash board even a lot of cracked glasses on the floor. I sent 20 dollar as tips, but she didn't take the it and said that's what she should do!! Amazing business owner!!!!
this place is run by husband and wife . very rude ppl and talked to me and my husband with a attitude . another thing be aware theses ppl wont let u take all your belongings even though u have every right . i was not allowed to get my radio i bought with my own money because "it comes with the car ". ive dealt with outher towing company and never had any issues like this. i do not recommend this place especially after the way i was treated . i just hope who ever reads this takes this seriously. another note that radio you didnt let me take to the owners i cutt the wires so good luck on making money off it
My motorcycle throttle cable snapped and left me stranded 16 miles from home. David Jones, the owner of this company personally came and strapped up my bike to his rig and towed me home. Friendly, fast and professional. Couldn't ask for more! Thanks David!
