Went in for a battery and alternator test and they decided not to check my alternator because the battery "was good". I explained that I had the battery dash light on and they reassured me it was fine. Went and got a second opinion at AutoZone and not only did they tell me it was my alternator, but they even let me know that my battery was halfway drained. You guys shouldn't offer free services if you don't want to do them.

Great experience at the Pat Booker Rd. location in Universal City, Texas! The store team provided excellent customer service! Ray's professionalism and candor helped me focus on safety in figuring out a battery issue; whereas others might upsell or exaggerate to capitalize on the problem. Ray and his team's approach is how you earn repeat business and help to keep customers safe. Well done and please keep up the great work!

My morning was a mess already, as soon I got there Mr. Mark went above and beyond to help me figure out the issues. I was on my way withing 30 min with the issues fixed! This gentleman shared his hand and knowledge and totally delivered! I recommend anybody to stop by!

I make a bought yesterday on December 15, a team member give me a great service and help me out to help me get my parts that i need, the part that a payoff (not cheap) at the moment wasn't avaliable untiel the next day (today) i work 10 hour shift tier as % i stop on the store between 4:10 4:20 pm and the same team member that help me the day before (yesterday) help me up again, they tell me that 3 part of 4 was on the store, im missing 1. He tell me that on 5:05 that part its gonna show up on the store, i tell him ok i wait on the parking lot until 5:05, almost a hour waiting, i go inside the store on 5:08 giving them some time, and a different employee tell me nope, that i have to wait for the truck, and by 5:30 Pm the truck finally show up, i get to the store and that last missing part wasn't in the truck wasn't delivered. Now i have to wait on tomorrow, will see. I know that is not in the team member hands they all treat me whit respect but men somebody need to be responsible for this. What piss me off is my time waist and i know they will feel the same way it was the opposite.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Rod's exceptional assistance at the Pat Booker location. He was incredibly helpful in guiding us to the correct light bulbs for my son's car. Rod understood our time constraints and efficiently located the replacement bulbs, enabling us to return to the driving test promptly. If you need anyone, ask for Lisa! She's extremely helpful, kind, and efficient. She knew everything to fix my issues, was able to get the part I needed fast, and helped alleviate the anxiety I had when I didn't know how I would be able to handle the issues with my engine (all while running the shop alone and with a bunch of customers). I'll be coming again, just for her!

My battery was dead but I remembered that I had purchased it at Advanced Auto Parts and they had it replaced it for free. My Die Hard battery was given to me for free. Way to go Advanced Auto Parts!!

Fantastic experience at this location. The manager Mark guided me to buying the correct oil and filter for my vehicle and shared his deep knowledge and expertise in German vehicles. Will recommend anyone to go here !

When I say this the BEST part store I've been to in my 7 yrs of being in San Antonio!! Mark was fabulous from me calling in getting a quote to going in the store and assisting my needs!!! The customer service here is remarkable!!! See Mark or Rodney!!!! Awesome customer service skills!!!! This is my new part store or wherever Mark is at😉

I've been going to the AAP on Pat Booker in Universal City, basically since it was put there, and I've never had a bad experience. The people in there know their store and auto parts in general. Every single one of the staff I've met over the years has been friendly and knowledgeable. I'll continue going there until I'm dead or the world ends.

I was waiting in line to pay along with another couple and the customer that was checking out. There was one man working the register. Another employee walked past behind the counter. He looked and saw the line, but did nothing. Those of us that were in line were Hispanic and White. When a black customer came in, the second employee, Mark (also black), went to help them and skipped the rest of us in line. After he had rung them up (skipping me, who he had clearly seen) and went back to walking around. He was friendly and talkative to the black customer, but didn't even smile at the rest of us. Not cool. Obviously racist.

Stopped in to get new bulbs for brake & reverse lights. The young man Alan was extremely helpful, he came out stood there and took note of exactly which bulbs were out, provided gloves and tools for me to change them out and stood out there again to verify everything was working correctly. With service like that I would definitely go there again.

Closed at 8PM on a weekday when door clearly stated open till 9PM. Cars were in the lot, but lights were off. Either they like working in the dark or wanted the day off early I suppose. A large chain should at least come close to their own posted operating hours. Wasted my time driving there for nothing, won't be trying again.

Appreciate the staff at the Universal City store. Doug was a great help not only that he was professional and friendly. He helped us with a battery and installation. It was a great experience for having a dead battery. I appreciate you Doug for your help. I will most definitely use this store and most definitely recommend this store to others.

I returned a part I ordered online. It didn't fit my truck. It's nice that I can return it to a store, but they gave me a receipt showing I would get a lot less than what I paid. I complained and all they would do is give me the phone number to their corporate office. I called and learned that the store receipt wasn't correct and I would receive a full refund. And I did, that same day!

I purchased an Oil filter housing for my BMW from this location and paid cash for it. My mechanic determined that I didn’t need it and the cause of my leak was only the seal. When I attempted to return the unused item and get my cash back, I ran into an attitude from Rob. He acted as if me requesting my money back was going to require him to move mountains. I had to wait 10 minutes for the safe to be opened. As he counted my cash back to me with huffing and puffing, I said to him, “Sorry for being such a pain.” He replied very sarcastically, “It is what it is.” He then turned on a dime and walked away. I will never spend money in an Advance Auto Parts store again. All I wanted was the money back for which I paid for my item. I didn’t expect to be treated with such disdain.

The employees were very helpful, respectful, and friendly. I say friendly because, sometimes in other places some people would act as if they don't want to work where they work. But here, they all worked as a unit and treated me as we had known each other forever. I will most definitely be going back.

Doug was helpful in figuring out why my car would shut off and come back on. Turns out it was the battery terminal was no good and Doug was able to replace it for me. Thank you! Ask Daniel about his TSX too!
