Everyone is so happy and helpful. I dont know what their business model is or how across the board every person is so happy, but I'd like to know what the secret is. Every experience (I go weekly for years) has been so positive. Every. Single. Person. Every. Single. Time. I look forward to recycling because they are so great!

I came here the first time I did dry van for my company to pick up a load. The customer service was excellent they were so patient with me the best experience I had. If I could give more stars I would.

They guys are great and directed us quick on where to drop our metal. The price was reasonable for what we took. The have a sink to wash our hands and gives us water as well. Going to come more often to sell my metal!!

I had a fantastic experience at this metal scrap recycling company! The customer service was top-notch when I arrived, the staff was incredibly helpful in unloading my materials, and they did it with impressive speed. Afterward, I headed to the window to get my payment, and the process was quick and seamless. As a nice touch, they even offered me some candy! Overall, this is a great place to recycle your scrap metal, with friendly staff and efficient service. Highly recommend!

We dump metal every month or so and this last time I was loaded with over 1600 lbs more that before and their rates dropped incredibly low... for less weight in the past I received over 100.00 more.

Have been here before seems like their staff is always ready and willing to work. I'm handicapped and no problem told employee and he told me to sit down and went to my truck and did everything for me. Thank you that is #1 customer service

They act like they do you favor by unloading for you and paying you less than what you get up the road from, Longhorn usually pays $0.025 less a pound for shred steel then other places using the excuse they unload it for you. Well other places unload for you too and do not basically charge you for it. Went there once and never going back! Call other places and get their prices before going here! It is well worth the drive elsewhere!

Come on now. 0.55 cents per 100 pounds for a total of 400 pounds which netted me 22.00 last weekend. I called Dannys a week later to find out it is 9.00 per 100 pounds at their location. Longhorn was screwing folks in the past and is still doing it now.

I dropped off the smallest amount of metal today. Like, I was only paid $3.30 but I don't care because the metal is gone! The property is so clean and so organized. The lady at the window was super sweet. Will definitely go back for future recycling needs.

I love going to this yard. They are professional and friendly. Highly recommend going here if it’s your first time or 100th time.

Best prices in town and the cleanest yard. Been coming here atleast 15 years. A couple hours work and easy money.

LAST TIME IM COMING HERE. I've been recycling electronics and PC parts here for a couple years and sometimes I am paid well, other times very little. They always weigh motherboards as low grade boards. This last trip will be my last. I was told CPUs and memory sticks containing gold and silver, as well as motherboards that have several valuable metals were $0.05 a pound. When I said I didnt think that was right, I was told by the guy weighing everything that prices were low, everything goes to the same place, and the process to recover the gold and silver was more than the material was worth. He told me good luck finding anyone else who would buy it. I took nearly everything back, cashed out and left. I drove across town to Great Northwest Recycling who paid me $4 a pound for the memory, $2 a pound for the CPUs and $0.80 a pound for the motherboards.. Longhorn was going to give me about $0.80 cents for everything. I received about $22 at the other place.

Me and my buddy have been using Longhorn for over a year Like the easy route to the scale and coming out We move quickly turning cans, wire and such Get paid quickly too Only twice in nearly 13 months were we tied up by slow lines and a recycling center that is awesome

The process was not difficult, I hired someone to help me drop off the junk then went to the window to pick up the money. I don't know if it's everyday but free candy is also given along with the money.

The process is not difficult and the staff was friendly. I first parked in the visitor parking by mistake, but an employee instructed me where to park my vehicle and load up a basket with my items to get them weighted. I recycled some ceiling fans, dog kennels and computers. The only thing I disliked and it's my personal opinion is no one had face masks. Some employees had masks but down in the chin. The other people dropping off items were not social distancing. Be careful if you're individuals that respect the many American lives lost to the virus if you go visit.

Had a chance to meet with the staff today. They are extremely knowledgeable and went the extra mile to spend time with me. A bit of hospitality goes a long way in making lifetime business. This location is impeccably maintained and they do an amazing amount of business.

Customer service needs work and the lady behind the window needs to pay attention to who is coming and going for that is her job. I went to take some steel and had my 2 son's with me and made them get off before weighing my truck. After we got done unloading the steel she rudely told my boy's to get back into the truck. As I explained to her that they were not in the truck she continued. So I went to her window to explain to her that I made them get off before weighing my truck and she just kept saying to me that I did not need to yell so I said I'm not yelling I'm trying to explain to you and she would not listen to me so I just made my boy's get into the truck and weighed them on it. I know for a fact that it was more than what she gave me but that is not the problem the problem is the way she was and her attitude.

First as a customer it is appreciated when the employees help unload materials. At longhorn they do not do such a thing. Next there should be a weight scale visable for customers. Instead it is located in a room, and when you want to verify correct or incorrect the man says you will see it on your receipt. I feel like I'm getting ripped off.. Also the lady at the window with curly hair is always rude with an attitude for what reason I couldn't tell you. Unprofessional and a scam this scrap yard is in my honest opinion.

Seems alright but not worth it for me. The guy that helped seemed nice and cool but the lady in the office is whatever, not much communication and gave off a negative vibe to put it nicely. It's been awhile since I've gone to exchange aluminum cans, like years, but I remember the currency for them was much better before. I had a small collection and needed to get rid of them so I came here despite the negative reviews since it's nearby and wanted to give them a chance (mainly because it's close by), and end result.. I recieved a buck.. Guess I'll just have to try a different location next time. As far as exchanging aluminum cans, I would not recommend this location.

They are pretty quick ..Sometimrs too quick. I have been going there for 20 years.Selling mostly but also They will let u walk around and browse thru the scrap piles if ur looking for something ..BUT. I am going to ask them about there policy on copper wire. I dont think they recognize BARE BRITE.as a category.. Ihave been educating myself about the pricing thru the internet .I have NOT BEEN GETTING PAID CORRECTLY ON THE COPPER WIRE I HAVE BEEN BRINGING IN. I Will keep going there because tjey are clise to my house but the next time i go i am going to call ahead and ask about their pricing. I WILL GET THE GOING NATIONAL AVERAGE RATEor I will go somewhere else. Im not going to get screwed around any more by them.

I did not get the ladies name but she was so helpful and nice. We came with a truck load of cans and were not sure how to get them all over to the area that accepted them. She came out of the building with a cart and also had us taken to another place to have them weighed since someone was ahead of us with a trailer load of cans. We really appreciated the help and consideration. Great Job!

I am a scavenger/picker/artist/whatever... I go through the scrapyards and look for things that might look good incorporated into an art piece. Longhorn Recycling does not care about people like me and I got all the proof I needed on my first visit. First, I found several items that I liked, but was informed by one of the employees they were his. I kept walking... about 20 feet and found a nice wheel. Guess who that belonged to as well. He was incredibly rude. I asked who his boss was and he wouldn't tell me. He switched to Spanish, but must have been surprised when I spoke it as well. Second, I was approaching a pile of gears... and we all love gears, but a piece of equipment was ready to move them, so he blew the horn at me and wooshed me away. Any of the other three yards I go to (Great Northwest Recycling, River City Steel, and Ashley's Salvage would have stopped the equipment, let you pick over it and then move it. Again, the customer doesn't matter. Lastly, I found the managers and told them about the previous incidents and they just shrugged it off. Apparently, this treatment of customers is policy. We may pay the smallest part of their revenue, but we pay the most... the premium. I told them I wouldn't be back and they seemed like they could care less. My suggestion: STAY AWAY FROM LONGHORN, Go to Great Northwest, River City, or Ashley's, where the pickers are not only tolerated, but welcome. There... I feel better now...
