Witnessed a Richard’s Towing truck engaging in road rage at The Pearl on 9/13 around 4:45p.
Driver was inches away from another car while blaring his horn for at least 20 seconds in an otherwise quiet, peaceful area. My kids had to cover their ears as it happened right beside us.
Probably not the wisest thing to do in a massive truck with your company’s logo plastered along the side of it, in front of dozens of people.
This company offered a competitive price and was recommended by my mechanic. When Jesse arrived he noticed that my car wasn't starting due to loose connections on the battery terminals. He fixed them and I didn't need the towing after all. I really appreciate the honest service and for looking at the vehicle first before towing.
Towed on 12 March 2025 at about 1430. 410 w access. Right before Broadway. Truck operator: Charles. Extremely polite and helpful. Knowledgeable. Professional.

Saturday evening at 5:30pm. I was driving East on Hwy 151 headed towards downtown. A Richard’s Towing truck hauling a white Mercedes cut me off. He was speeding and swerving between lanes. This driver was reckless and obviously had no respect for the car he was trusted to move. Shame on the driver in truck number 152.
ETA: Left 1⭐ review after waiting on a reply to the email I sent with same information to the company. Got an email back @430 this morning saying they would talk to driver. Updating my review for them responding but the public should still know to watch out for the tow truck drivers creating public safety issues on busy road.
Inconsiderate driver in truck 140 blocked a whole intersection while everyone was sitting waiting to go at a green light because he was too impatient to wait for his red light.
Great customer service and experience. Other tow companies were unable to tow my car from its location for months. Jessie was able to take care of it the same day that I contacted Richard’s Towing.
There’s no reason your drivers need to be tailgating people that are already speeding until they move out of the way. I was not even the car being tailgated but it was so aggressive and unsafe that I needed to switch lanes to get away from them. If it was that urgent shouldn’t the flashing lights at least be on?

There drivers have no courtesy to anybody else on the road swerving in and out of traffic to go to a non emergency call at 80mph in a 45. There drivers need to be more careful before they kill somebody

Sadly my neighbor was involved in an automobile accident and his truck suffered a hole straight through the rim , Richards towing brought him home.
I wouldn't normally be all up in my neighbors business but luckily I was able to lend a few 4x4's, that's when I met Mr. Charles from Richards Towing. I noticed how hard he was working and how quick he was able to help my neighbor out and get the vehicle placed in the appropriate spot. He came around and thanked me for helping my neighbor. Can you imagine this driver on this busy hot Texas day makes his rounds of job requirements and then goes the extra step to recognize his customers random neighbor for helping. My neighbor seems to be in good spirits, Mr Charles seemed to be in good spirits, and I can honestly say I felt good being able to help just a tiny bit. Today I felt useful . A great experience on my end to an otherwise random meeting and unfortunate wreck.
When the driver called me it was about 8:30pm. Expressed to me that he was about 20 minutes away from my home where my vehicle was parked. I liked his personality, he was polite and was willing to listen to my rambling on about what happened to my vehicle. I gave him the key to my vehicle and trusted him to take my truck to Miracle Body & Paint where we normally take our vehicles for bodywork. I will definitely use his services again and refer him out to my friends & family.
We had such a great experience this evening with Mr. Charles! My boyfriend crashed his car pretty bad today and we were all spooked up pretty bad. Incredibly slow and incapable, I called them ahead of time to find out what I needed to bring, she told me proof of insurance and a valid ID for whoever is going to be driving the vehicle. I pay a friend to drive me across town with everything I need on her son's birthday and they say I need my birth certificate when I get there. Wouldn't trust these people with anything, let alone others property.
After I left this review the woman on the phone who doesn't understand her job, got mad called me back and now she's saying that she won't accept valid ID (social security card, birth certificate) I'm calling a lawyer

Randy was my tow driver and was very efficient and professional. Best price out of the other tow companies I contacted. I thought it was going to be a whole day thing but it wasn't. Will be using them for all my towing needs going forward.
If the police call to get your vehicle towed this company is contracted with them and they informed me they charge a flat fee of 175, and with Helotes police they add an additional 50 dollar city fee. They also charged a 30 dollar mileage charge for 3.9 mile distance. And a flat fee fuel adjustment charge of 30.
When I called to get later to get a quote and gave them the to and from location they said because it’s under 10 miles that the total would be 101.65 or 97.95 cash….
I’m not sure how an extra 185.35 is justifiable just because the police had them come in. The 50 dollar city fee fine, I can understand that I guess, but the extra 133.35 seems ridiculous. This is just so anyone is clear on the charges. Don’t let the police or the tow truck personnel rush you. Especially if you’re a woman. Stand your ground and wait for your insurance to send someone. And the car was drivable if they had just listened and towed it out of the grassy area for us but refused and wanted to take it to their lot for 160. Then when I said I don’t need it taken to your lot, just take it to this address down the street they raised it to 285. Just beware. Stay safe.
The guy who came out to get our truck was Robert and he was awesome!! Our place is kind of a rough spot to get in and out of and he just got it done easily and no complaints about our spot! I recommend him absolutely!! Thank you so much!

The whole experience for me needing a vehicle moved was painless ! Unfortunately I had very little notice to move one of my vehicles. I called Richard’s Towing and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist who arranged for a tow truck to come to my residence. The driver showed up on time and called me as soon as he got on site. He was VERY polite and helpful (his name was Albert). He got the job done with a genuine smile on his face and we exchanged pleasantries while he worked. Richard’s Towing turned what I thought would be a big headache into a great experience. Will use them again for sure !
Charlie was so helpful and kind! As soon as he came to the rescue to tow my car, he offered to pass by a gas station so I could get something to eat/drink since it was a hot day and I was waiting for a while. For services like this, it's recommended to use cash if possible since they do charge a fee for using a card. Needless to say, reliable company.
Robert V. arrived quickly at my location. He was very thorough in explaining everything and took care of my car very well. Robert V. has excellent service, responsible, reliable, and very dependable. After getting the run around from the other towing companies my insurance was dispatching I got a recommendation to call this company. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful. I explained that I had been getting the run around from other companies (3-4 hours) and now I was running low on my phone battery. After talking I was then told it would be about 25 minutes to arrive at my location.
I was very impressed with the young man who came out to help me. His name was Will and you just got the vibe that this man takes his job seriously and is a professional. Clearly this is something that comes with time and experience, but also a willingness to just take pride in your work…which he does.
My car was in water that almost covered the wheels. From the whole water rescue, to being towed to my destination, to taking my vehicle off of the tow truck….everything was done with precision and care. I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received. Thank you to Will and thank you to Richards Towing!
My advice to others…if possible….go direct with this company and get reimbursed by your insurance company after.
Oscar was a amazing guy and did a amazing job! I couldn't be more pleased. Came out and made a hard job look easy! Beautiful truck and excellent work! For what he did they were VERY reasonable pricing! Where they could have taken advantage of a out of town guy they didn't. They were there at a drop of a hat exactly when they said they would be! I will definitely use them again for any heavy duty wrecking I need done in San Antonio!
This towing company messed up our car. Wasn’t carried on a flatbed tow truck so the front of the car experienced some damage, there were two flats on the passenger side of vehicle and that’s why it had to be towed away. Called twice and I’m still waiting for the supervisor to get in contact with me. It’s been 2 days. Do not recommend this towing company because obviously they don’t know what they’re doing.
