Been going here many years. Richard is always fair and straight forward. Never had a problem. The scale is visible and easily seen. I've never had an issue. I've checked prices before and after going. They are always on target with the market prices. I will continue going here. If you think you are being cheated. Try going somewhere else. Richard has always been fair and honest.
I warn y'all to not come here these people like to say they pay us accordingly to the market prices but they are always way off by 2 dollars from the market price they rip you off you're high end copper an metal by saying it's low kind an they cheat with the weight I took over 200 pounds of aluminum an they paid me out for 150 I had sorted it all out
Keep your eyes on them I took a whole truck load of cans 7 30 gallon bags and they only gave me $10 cause when I wasn’t paying attention they dumped half my load before they weighed it my son told me but I wasn’t gonna stand there and argue i just know not to come back and figured I warn others to be aware
Pays very low price for ferrous metal, much lower than other scrap yards and prices for regulated materials too. They must have paid for positive reviews. Choose another scrap yard if you can!

This was my first time going to a salvage place, and I decided to see if the negative reviews were justified, seeing that it was closest to my house.
It was worse than I could imagine. I spoke to a man driving a forklift, and he informed me that they paid .08 cents per pound for metal( he did not specify). I had a disassembled aluminum engine, a few cv axles, old hydraulic shocks, and rotors. He remained seated on the forklift, watching as I unloaded my suv into his forklifts bucket. No offer of assistance (no big deal, not good customer service either).
I walked thru the yard where a worker approached the office. After a few minutes of us standing there, the office door cracked open just enough for a small tray with money, and a receipt was past to the employee.
I received a receipt for 177 pounds of light iron (lowest priced metal per pound) .05 cents per pound. The office door had "In God we trust."
I'm sure they celebrated the bonus they received from a nieve and unknowing customer they cheated. I just didn't feel like reloading the parts.
If you want the lowest amount possible for scrap, they will be more than happy to steal your money. I've included the receipt to validate my post.
I only gave this RIP off spot one star cause there was no negative star. Today I brought them ac n 11 pound clean brass and copper radiator, 3 pounds of bare bright, and 2 ppu is of number 2 copper . They only gave me 10 dollars for all the above. When I asked for my material back, they refused.

People who rate one star have no patience or are looking for any excuse. Yes they don't show weight, yes they are a bit unorganized, the people.who work here are old timers give em a break. I came thru and it was decent. Most likely will be back.

I sent my younger brother to recycle a dryer in one piece & a truck starter then an employee give my brother $6.00 for everything.

I notice a lot of 1 star reviews and all seem to be based on the pay scale…Ive been going here for a little while and can tell you honestly that even though they may not be the highest prices in town, they are still competitive and fair. I choose to go here because im always given a bin as soon as I pull up, and the staff are very friendly. As far as comment on they don’t let you see the weight…I don’t know if this was a thing in the past, but I literally watch the scale weight right at the front. As far as the manager/owner I have called him to ask for prices and have never had him go back on the amount he’s told me over the phone, actually as a matter of fact, I’ve on many occasions just simply ask if he can do a little better on the pay either because I have so much of the item, or I’ll tell him what another yard is paying and if he can do a little better on his prices and I normally leave their happy.
RIP offs .. dont show weight .. hand written totals not legible.... if u take 20 pounds they will pay u 2 pounds , sorta seem lost in trying to figure out what type of metal it is ..

They were terrible they tell you one price and then offer you another lower price. not very professional not at all. I will definitely not be going back to them.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE!!!! I went there this morning with a truck full of cans and when I had them put it on the scale they said that I had a little less than 15lbs and tried to give me $1.43. I told the cashier that I'll pass on the money and will just take my cans elsewhere cause I know that I have way more than 30lbs let alone "a little less than 15lbs". So I went to AG Pickard recycling on Nogalitos and found out that I had 42lbs of cans and paid me a good price for it. You don't have to take my word for it and find out for yourself the hard way if you want but come Monday I'm calling the BBB on these scam artists!
Showed up 15 min before closing told the worker I was there to recycle some metal. Worker said " sorry we aren't buying that type of metal right now", how did the worker know what type of metal I was try to recycle with out asking me, or looking in my trunk to see what type of metal I had in there
They never paid be for aluminum tubing and other aluminum items. They claimed the aluminum was light iron, while they placed the aluminum with other aluminum. They claim that if you arrive 15 minutes before closing, then they will accept your metal. I arrived 30 minutes beforehand and they refused me because I had too much for them to finish that day. They took 3.5 hours to unload. They hit my trailer and broke my trailer light. A filing cabinet from the pile nearby fell on my trailer. Their operation is like a 3-ring circus.
First and last time going! Very rude and disorganize! No parking, Scale doesn't show weight. Got ripped off. The manager was telling me to go running me off after I had a question my receipt.
The black owner /manager is racist . Told his employee in a faint talk white trash .but i heard .smh .
He told me i dont know difference between metal and light iron .
What is light iron ?? Explain .
Worst place .
His employee said theres no restroom or water fountain nor water hose .
