Real quick in and out paid cash and I got top dollar for my scrap metal. If it's your first time there no in advance due to state law they have to pay you with a check. It's Cash after that. Happy scrapping
Yesterday, 11/08/23 I visited Ashely Salvage to purchase 1/2" flat strip. It was just as it has been over the past 45 years; freindly, helpful and busy beavers everywhere from customers to staff.
So many of the same faces from 45 years ago, we have all grown older, no matter, it was refreshing!!
Thanks to all at Ashley for being there day in and day out all these years, working hard for all of your customers.

Was a great place good price but the employees are not so great. One is a straight up you know what. Jeremiah has to be related to the owners unless I'm the only one he has spoken to in that manner.
Went in with an idea of what I wanted but at same time had no clue what to get the staff came right up to me and answered all the questions I had and were very helpful showing me around the yard . Would recommend to anyone needing metal for a project to go here thanks
I guess u have to beg these guys to take your recycling!! Unless I assume u know them. N yes I am American, the guy took offense that I sisnt take Spanish to him, my bad I thought this was Texas Lone Star State Of US. Sorry for offending them for being an American, doichebags!!
Very professional place with friendly, helpful staff. Never have a problem finding the size & quantity of angle iron needed. I wish they sold all of their flat bar in 10-ft lengths, especially 1-2 inch widths. Most of the flat bar is sold at 20-ft, which is much harder to transport in a standard truck.
The staff is absolutely amazing! Small garage maker friendly. The staff worked with my husband with what he needed and made it happen. The office staff was knowledgeable and willing to point us in the right direction.
Check in was fine, dumping scrap was ok (limited space) I called an hour earlier and they quoted me .0725-.08/lb of scrap metal, which is 7-8$ per 100 lbs, when I cashed in the rate was at .054/lb they lied to me about the rates, it was a drive from my house and the rates were way off, I'll never go back.
First time at this establishment. Employees were nice and explained the process that they use. Prices were good and they run this place with integrity. I grabbed the wrong product and they could have charged me more for what I said it was, but they told me what I grabbed and it wasn't what I meat to buy. Will be returning to this place.
Great place. Used metal was .25 cents a pound. Which is the cheapest Iv seen. I got a ton of stuff for under 50 bucks. Love all the accessories they sell inside the checkout. I always spend another $20 or so on that stuff alone. Make sure you double check your receipt and their math since you check out with two people. I caught an error that would have cost me $80. They quickly refunded my money and apologized so just double check their numbers.
Very good service. They were busy, but was able to get directed to what I was looking for right away. Got my ticket, went to the cashier and was on my way.
The workers where good but the company itself is robing the customer in my opinion. The prices they are buying at are ridiculously low it's not even worth gas or the time to take anything because you will get nothing for it, practically.
The office personnel is very nice and helpful. The lot yard workers are also nice and very helpful. I was able to tell them what I was looking for and they pointed me in the right direction which saved me a lot of time.
Ashley Salvage Co. Is the best I have ever been too. I'm 61 and over the years from George Town area all the way down here. I would go there to or sell metal, before I would go anywhere else. Very Professional and they do it right to protect them as well as their customers
(First time coming here) Literally showed up, peeked around the corner to see if anybody was there, saw two older guys sitting on their arses doing nothing, went to grab my things from my car, walked back around the corner, and everything was shut down and closed up. Rude as heck! Must've saw me and didn't want to help because they were real quick about closing up shop! Forget this place, picking a different place to go.
People were friendly enough, but I felt like I was invisible... took a minute to get helped with the special metals(copper, stainless, insulated wire). They kept speaking Spanish while discussing my load, I told them that I don’t speak Spanish and that I couldn’t understand what they were talking about. Suddenly they’re speaking English with no problems... I was informed that the two little motors I brought were going to be classified as dirty aluminum and that I only had enough bare copper for a lb., but they had all of it on the scale including the stainless metal (which is heavy) together with the insulated wire. All told, almost 30 pounds! I received $15 for all my efforts and I felt a little humiliated because I thought/knew I had a really GOOD load and was very proud of myself. Then, I went and dropped off the heavy iron and had cable cords for light iron. Looking around for the light pile, a guy running a machine yells at me where to go, so I head over, but he yells again and points to another pile while shaking his head. More humiliation on my part. That load brought me a whopping $7... I would have gotten so much more if I had gone to my regular spot... Oh well, just because most of the reviews were positive I decided to try somewhere new, never mind, I’ll stick with the place down the road that REALLY treats me fairly and doesn’t act like I’m dumb.
Considering there’s another scrap yard a few hundred feet away, Ashley Salvage is better organized and staff are far more friendly. They are smaller than the other one down the road but they’ve always had what I looking for. I’ll be going again tomorrow for a BBQ pit project.
Staff was extremely friendly... wish I got names so I could mention them here but they made my experience recycling and buying metal so easy. Very organized place which is a big thing for me. Keep up the great work guys and gals !
I really do like this place, always polite and friendly. Just drive in and pick what you like they usually have someone making a ticket for you as you go. Great selection, many sizes and types of steel. Drive to front then pay and take off . Lots easier than other places
We have come here for years and they have always been a breeze to work with and have good deals on drop pieces and odd ball stuff you can't find most places.
