Very nice employees, loaded my truck quickly. A lot of room to back into the docks. Scale is not on premise though, it's roughly two miles up the street.
Fast loading 15 minutes but first u need to go to scale 5 minutes from shipper get scale ticket then going to shipping and do the same after loading or unloading. Those who said took long to scale they are lying . Free scale.
Pretty frustrating process over here but it is a scrap yard you have to check in here then drive across town and of course they'll be doing construction downtown to then go get a loaded weight at a farm co-op so now you're waiting on construction equipment and farm equipment so then come back here to get unloaded to then guess what.. go back to the co-op to get an empty scale ticket. I guess it could be worse, here I am employed with a job with access to food and water making a complaint online.
Very nice people. Came a day early and they still took me, but it took them 6 hours to unload me since I was early. I was the last priority. Unless you get detention pay, coming early may not be worth it.
Restrooms on site, nothing fancy, but they are actual restrooms. Easy to back into docks, but the streets getting here were a bit tight.
As the other reviews said, go to the scale house first. Its 2 miles up the road. 271 Mayberry St, Sparta, TN. Follow the scale signs all the way around to the back of the place. After parking on the scale, follow the sign until you find an unmarked door. Tell them you are there for Sparta Metal Processing. Sparta covers it, at least for my company anyway. You will have to return and scale out again.
Not open all night. Hours are 7am-3pm.
Great customer service. Appt 0800, arrived at 0745. Sent to that address to scale. Must scale in/out prior to loading/unloading. Can not use your own scale ticket, must be from that company. Received dock as soon as I returned. Quick unloading. Easy docks to maneuver.
