I HAVE MESSAGED Randy Hacker WITH NO RESPONSE. BUT I REALLY DID NOT EXPECT HIM TO REACH ME ON FB . This is why i needed a number or see him in person. But his worker in the office refused to help me . Modern vehicles use connected computer systems through a CAN network, so yes — plugging a universal scan tool into one module can affect another system if something glitches. I only bring that up because the guy at Hacker’s in the office kept repeatedly telling me they “only touched the transmission module,” as if the systems in modern vehicles are completely separate when they communicate through the same network. Also brought to my attention they have taken in so many cars and that it has never happened. But even though it has not , does not mean it can’t . My car had zero issues with the keyless entry/start system until after Hackers hooked their computer to it to reset the transmission module. When I brought the issue up, instead of simply checking the vehicle or being honest with me, the man in the office argued back and forth with me. They charged me $117 just to hook a computer to my car and drove it to Stateline and back, then refused to even recheck the vehicle. When I asked for a refund, I was told the shop had been sold and that I would have to talk to the owner myself. But he refused to contact the owner for me or even tell me how to get ahold of him. Now I have to take my car to Honda to fix a keyless entry/start problem that started the same day they touched my car.

Beware folks At first I thought they were doing a good job and then they would say things were repaired but after paying and checking the vehicle some of the problems still existed so I had them go back and repair those items again I paid an incredibly high repair bill. So the last item which should have been repaired an impact sensor wasn't repaired during the first two visits. I had them repair that item after two weeks of them having my vehicle they finally got the part installed they charged $398.00 plus labor and taxes for this item. Which seemed suspicious. So I took my invoice after paying used the information they put on there and found the parts store and the cost of the part it was purchased from AutoZone by the SKU an AutoZone sells the part for $256.00i also called Chevy dealership to check prices and also viewed pricing at other parts stores. Hackers inflated the price of the part by over $150.00

I have used their service several times over the years. It is great to have a shop that can diagnose the problem and technicians to work on the problem in the same place. It is also very helpful to be given a quote for all parts and labor before you have the work done. I do recommend them but you will often need an appointment before hand. Because they are a very busy place.

I've used Hacker's four times now to do several repairs to my 4Runner. They fixed an electrical problem that stumped other mechanics. They also found a potentially dangerous situation with a brake line and fixed it. The car runs great and feels solid! I can't say enough good things about my experience with them. Very professional, accepts credit cards, work is done in a reasonable amount of time and they're not overpriced. The office is clean, the work area looks clean and the surrounding is clean. I highly recommend Daniel and his team!

They seem very knowledgeable and I learned that Hacker was the teacher at Scott highs automotive class for many years. He checked the fluid on my VW which has no dip stick and only charged me to replace to quart of transmission fluid I needed. I'm taking my car in for a transmission service next week as the fluid was dark in color. They quoted me the same price I paid 4 years ago to get it done.
