Came here to kayak with my daughter and her Girl Scout troop. Shout out SOAC for supplying kayaks and canoes. 🛶 everyone had a blast! Great fishing spot, everyone was friendly. Plenty of parking!
Decent boat ramp, long, but there are a few issues.
-No dock
-Parking lot asphalt is torn up with potholes
- (nothing they can do but). People throw rocks on the boat ramp for fun without realizing every trailer backs down that ramp and hits those rocks.
Sometimes sketchy vehicles reside here. Wouldn't be surprised if break ins occur.
Other than that it’s a nice ramp and typically in the evening in the summer there is a cop to watch for theft.
Not only does it have a pavilion with BBQ pits, but also has multiple picnic tables with grills spread amongst the premises. The best part is the public restrooms, which is the main reason I can also bring the kids along to join me for a day of fishing
Clean water and tins of green space. Not a lot of boat traffic either with lots of shallow areas for swimming. This is the perfect place to come kayak or paddleboard
Amazing spot to drop in & paddle away! If you go left out of the dock you will end up in a beautiful estuaries that is shallow in many spots but easy to navigate with a canoe. Great fun, lots of wild life, and the fishing is good for pan fish. My 2 little ones have a blast every time.
Nice public boat ramp with lots of parking and picnic tables, lake side swimming, shallow bank for family friendly fun and there's a public restroom with running water.
This is such a fabulous place. They do everything for you. I often thought about buying my own kayak. These people treat you so well that I would never want to buy a kayak
Always peaceful and beautiful. This used to be our go to ramp when we had a boat. Hardly ever a wait. Now I enjoy the lengthy shoreline to fish which is rare around Percy Priest. Has picnic tables, grills, and restrooms. Great place to spend the day.
I enjoy going to this park. It’s peaceful and yet still there are people there all the time. Every time I go to Jefferson Springs Boat Ramp I get some tranquility in my life again.
Very nice place, only wish people would pick up after their pets. You really have to watch out for all three dog piles especially down close to the water. The picnic table area was littered with trash, while a trash can was 10 yards away.
Very good place to relax for a while, have a picnic, a family barbecue, there are many trees that shade almost the entire park! However I do not recommend it for a dip there is no sandy shore there is only a lot of rocks and mud.
As a kayaker, this spot was extremely busy with little space to launch. Jeri Ski's ruled the area, making for a bit of a choppy ride along the shore line.
Nice boat ramp. Several picnic tables with lots of shade. Covered pavilion with grill to cook on, it's first come or you can reserve it. We have a family reunion there every year. Also has public restrooms

Well, the water edge is so trashy, there should be a bigger sign at the entrance telling people what time the park side opens and closes. And why isnt there any lights in the parking lot of the boat ramp? Ever thought about installing some for the people who go out on their water vessels and come in at nite? If u can build a walking/hiking trail, why cant the city of smryna provide the trail with lights also? Help keep us safe and happy so some will tell others of the nice place so newcomers can visit and enjoy all their is to share!!
Very clean and modest place to relax. Need a marked location for swimmers because I was tempted to hook a float just because they begin to swim on floats where I was peacefully fishing. And can they post an open and close sign at the entrance in BIG BOLD LETTERS?? But overall, my kind of place to go.
This park has lots of shady pavilion settings with a breeze to help combat the hot weather. Very clean with plenty of picnic tables and nearby restroom. Large trash containers to use,play area for smaller children. Lake nearby with boatramp.
Really beautiful area. It's really tucked away but it's got a really nice set up. We had a friend's baptism here and it was just so gorgeous. But it was still so close to everything that you didn't feel like you were out in the middle of nowhere.
