James helped us with towing to an auto repair shop. He arrived quickly with an accurate ETA and was very friendly and helpful. James put me and my daughter at ease and made this as positive of an experience as it could be. This was by far the easiest and fastest tow I've ever had.
These guys are out for money. They tow when you park your vehicle in a place that’s not in business hours on New Year’s Eve. They threatened to “we don’t wanna shoot anybody” when I came with cash to pick my vehicle up from them scamming me out of 300 dollars. They might have towed my vehicle but I’ll get the last laugh on this deal. That act big and bad over the entire process and are the rudest people you could ever encounter.
Towed my car when the handicap placard fell from the mirror. The tow damaged my car. They refuse to repair the damage. They were on lunch when I arrived to pick up my car. I had to wait. Overall a rude and terrible experience.
They swept through and took my car, from in front of my house. I have a broken leg and was coming from the hospital. I parked in front of my home to get my things out of the car. I wasn’t gone away from my car 10-15 minutes. It’s the thanksgiving holiday weekend. I called and they owner said 300$ and I would have to wait until the following day to get my car back. You would think in this day and time people would care or be more considerate, but the common denominator is lack of empathy and price gouging. There’s no way if you tow my car from in front of my house that it should be 300$.
CAUTION!!! These guys are just out for CASH! They troll apartment complexes looking for cars to tow. Then they take your car and require CASH to get your car out of impound. I think the local, state and federal government should look into their business. My daughter’s car that was just bought on Sunday was parked in the parking lot of her apt complex. Monday was a holiday so she couldn’t get tags. She worked Tuesday. Southern Belle picked it up Tuesday night. She was parked in a spot that used to be Visitors parking but recently changed unbeknownst to her. When she learned they towed her car, she contacted Southern Belle. They are only open business hours, which is fine. We arrive there and they tell us we owe $350 CASH!!! When we argue with them that the price is egregious (I call it bullshit then apologize for my language). So we had to go to the bank and get cash to pay the hostage fee. I know a normal tow bill is only about $150 (at best). Then, to make matters worse, not sure what they did but the battery was dead. Fortunately, they did give us a jump start to get us out of there. I probably wouldn’t have been so upset if the fee was about $150-200. But $350 CASH is ridiculous!
they stalk apartment complexes at 2am and take your car without notice. and then charge hundreds of dollars to get it back. straight up robbery. I'm very grateful I have empathy and a heart unlike the people who run this "company" lol
Bryan was friendly, professional and efficient. He kept me updated as to his ETA, quickly hooked up my car and got it safely to my mechanic. Thank you so much!
they took the last $300 i had to my name, im a nursing student who can’t afford even basic things currently, in the middle of school and they towed my car from a street that had no signs posted about parking, towing, or private property. to do this scummy work in this economy is distasteful. hope you all sleep well tonight :)
Company towed my vehicle from a lot which did not have adequate signage. Predatory practice orchestrated by towing service & adjacent business. Almost $300 to retrieve my car within hours. I wonder how much of that is kicked back to the business.
Super sketchy buisness practice. Literally waits till everyone is asleep and to tow your car. Pretty sure they are actively looking for any reason to tow to make an extra buck. If they can't find one there is a large possibility they'll make on. Keep an eye on your vehicle
I've used Kevin and his employees on multiple occasions. I'm an assistant manager for three apartment communities in Murfreesboro, and he services all three. I've also used him personally. Every job he's performed has been exceptional. He is extremely quick to respond, honest, always shows up when he says he will, and has incredibly reasonable prices. I will never use another tow company! Thank you Kevin and your employees! I appreciate you.
I couldn't have been happier with their service. I called for a tow but instead the driver got me running again and refused to let me pay him. After having this experience, it leads me to not believe all of the negative reviews against them. That and the fact that they work for the property owners and not the people who are acting entitled and parking in places where it's not allowed thinking that the rules don't apply to them. If you would follow the rules like us civilized members of society, you would have no reason to complain. Thank you Southern Belle!!!
called my insurance at 6:30pm for a tow. got a text right away that said the ETA was 50 minutes. waited for hour and half no tow. called them to which I was told he didn't currently have an order but said "are you at the mapco" without me telling him so clearly there was an order. he then tries to reach the driver to which he says "the driver won't answer my calls" waited another 10 minutes and call him back. he then says he is on the way I explained that a flat bed was need because I have two flats and wide tires (sons truck). he says he can't use the truck he is driving (claims he didn't know there were two flats but insurance company specifically asked this and noted it). he says he doesn't want us waiting any longer so I say we are 5 miles down the road, just call us when you find a driver. At 9pm I start trying to call him...no answer. I text him...no answer. I wait another 15 minutes try calling again... call forwarded....text again....no reply. so I call my insurance company back, they contact him and he tells them he canceled the order and notified me. never happened. it was left that he would call me when he found a driver. Do not use this tow company. terrible service. as I type this I just got a text from him that says "sorry, we are not working today I do not have your order". You literally spoke with me...
Yes, they run a dirty business, in my opinion. I have a vehicle, been at my apartments since 2015, and I understand it was towed for my tags. I have my apartment sticker, and the office/someome should've notified me. From my understanding your supposed to be notified, and signed off on before they can even tow. They go around here at Cedar Ridge (now Park Light in Lavergne)like thieves, towing around here. Left and right. I am really not sure how they can just go around doing this. It's robbery! What's worse is the office knows who's on disability, income. Neighbors cars have been towed several times. It's ridiculous. This is a cash racket!
This business would only except cash only. I run a business and our bookkeeping is done with a check for honest and safe practice. I told the owner I can get him a cashier’s check which is the same as cash but he wouldn’t except that either. I question whether or not he is claiming all his income and taking cash for the purpose of tax evasion. I understand individuals should pay by credit card or cashier’s check in order to avoid bouncing checks but reputable businesses not be trusted , come on.. I will never use this tow company again. He also wanted to charge 5% fee if paid by credit card and that is too high. If he can’t trust my business I can’t trust his.

Was told we would be contacted later in the day(Saturday) nobody ever contacted us back and nobody came in Sunday so we were at a loss until someone else was there Monday. Definitely not a towing service that will "work with you". I would give them 0 stars if i could. They didn't help us at all when though the car was picked up on a Friday @6 they didn't give us a chance to get the stuff until Monday.
What a rip off company. They running a dirty business with apartment complexes. $250 to tow a vehicle less than 2 miles and hold it for 12 hours. Just had a vehicle towed by another company for 15 miles and cost me $90. Owner full of lies. Too many to list. Said I couldn't pick my vehicle up without proof it was mine. Walked in, handed the fee over which for some reason had to be cash, and left with my vehicle no questions asked. Wonder why it had to be cash, so they won't have a paper trail on the scam!
I cannot recommend this place more! As soon as I called for someone to tow my car to a tire place, I immediately felt like a priority, and they really took care of me as a customer. It only took about 25 minutes for them to get to my location. Jamie came to tow my car and he was very nice and very professional! As someone who is still new to the area, I was very pleased with their customer service.
NICK WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! The insurance company sent Southern Bell Towing to come pick me up while I was out of town. The estimated time of arrival was up to 100 min. Nick was there within 20 minutes. He was the most patient and pleasant person to deal with while I was losing my mind due to the unexpected delay in my travels. Hands down the professional service at its best. If I ever need help when I’m the area, I will specifically request NICK!
They towed my car from Grand Oaks in Smyrna. The fee on the gate says $175. Storage $40. First, I parked back behind the garages there, which was plenty of parking without taking a resident parking space. I did not know there was visitor parking. I did not park there until almost 6:00 a.m. When I got back at 11:30 a.m. my car had been towed. I went to help my daughter deliver this morning. When I got there to pick up my car there was no one there. The business next door said they were all gone.
If you are so quick to tow a car with what you charge, then you should have someone there to make sure people get your car back. What are people picking up their car supposed to do, take an Uber somewhere, and come back at your convenience? It was raining. The nice man next door called you to see what to do. He was told to take the money. Like I'm leaving without a receipt! He spent some time in your office trying to find a receipt that they said they had left in the office. I'm sure there wasn't one. He finally found the receipt pad and wrote it out. This guy doesn't work for you, but he was there taking care of your business. This took time from his business. When I ask on the phone earlier what the price I had to pay was, they charged the towing fee plus $40 storage for about 4 hours. Plus, they said a flat 10% tax. I thought tax in Tennessee was 9.75%?
I have never had to have but one other experience with a towing issue. Today I made calls to two other companies for a tow and I was told that they had no drivers available until tomorrow. My first question to Southern Towing was do you have a driver available? He was very polite and friendly and said yes ma'am we do. I gave the man over the phone all of the information he needed and all of this happened within 30 minutes and the car was towed and put where it needs to be. Very quick and professional Service. I saved their number in my phone because next time if need be they will be my first call.
I called and asked them to tow my wrecked motorcycle from another tow lot in town to my home. I wanted Southern Belle all along. I used to use them when I was over the security department at Nissan and they were always fairly quick and courteous. They didnt give me any lip when I asked them to be careful of some parts of the bike as they were still good and very expensive aftermarket items. They didn't complain that it was "too heavy" and they arrived pretty quickly, and called 10 min prior to arrival. They got the bike towed home and even put it in my garage and on a motorcycle jack for me, because I was injured in the wreck. Outstanding service provided by these gentlemen.
I had called a different towing company the night my car broke down on the interstate. He told me to call in the morning so I did. He said he would call back and get me in. After hours of waiting he told me to call someone else. So I did. I call this company and they picked up my car and let me pay within an HOUR. I am extremely satisfied with their professionalism and helping me through the process. I hope to god I never need to get my car towed again but if I do I'm definitely calling this place first.
My car broke down in a turn lane. The police arrived, and said I was actually in a lane of traffic. I have AAA but their time frame was 30-40 minutes. A driver from Southern Belle came by and asked If I would like him to pull the car to the side of the road to get it out of traffic. I said yes. He pulled the car to the side of the road and took off. I did not get a chance to ask his name or even thank him. He did this out of sheer kindness and generosity. I highly recommend them!
In the last thirty days, my car had to be towed to the shop twice for recall issues. Both times I utilized the services of Southern Belle Towing. I was really impressed with how quickly they responded. The guys were so helpful and professional even though I was freaking out a bit. Kevin and Tyler were both so great! I highly recommend this tow service!
