Worst towing experience I've ever had. After picking up our truck he decided to go get lunch then went to pick up his girlfriend and then didn't show up to deliver our truck 30 minutes away or even call us to tell us he wouldn't make it that night. How do I know this? He posted our truck on his tow truck bed on his Facebook page, and him and his girlfriend were talking in the comments! After multiple calls and promises of "being on the way" we called again now 5 hours later and 11pm he finally said he can't make it and will be there first thing in the morning. Next morning came and went and he said he "got lost and stranded in Kentucky" which later turned into "had a call to go to Kentucky" then "the truck broke down" (after reading the reviews I see his truck breaks down A LOT) however on his Facebook page NONE of this is what's being said so I obviously see it's a lie... After waiting all day for him to show up he still doesn't come.. Day 3 he finally shows up AT MIDNIGHT! Him and his girlfriend were slurring their words REALLY BAD and SUPER SLOW! Even blinking looked like it was done in slow motion. Only good thing that came from this whole fiasco was the Yorkie they brought with them to FINALLY deliver our truck 3 days later for a 30 minute drive...
Was very nice and respectful . Said we where more then welcome to sit in truck if we was cold. as they loaded the vehicle . Wasn’t a very long wait time . Very professional towing
Absolutely horrible service, probably the worst I've seen in a towing company. Was told he would be there within 15-20 minutes, not only did he never show but he had me waiting for over two hours. I wish I could rate lower than a 1 as they don't even deserve the one star in my opinion. 0/10 recommendation. Take your business elsewhere!!
Called for a tow to a service center. They communicated when they were close and when they arrived. All went well and was reasonably priced. Recommended and hope not to use again... but will if I have to.
Highly recommend EJ's Towing,My Mom was stuck in Knoxville(over an hour away from home)because her car wouldn't start,Called EJ's towing,He came out to her in a timely manner,Jumped her car off,Have to say very respectful he had her to sit in the tow truck out of the heat,even said he would give her a ride home if needed,Wow he didn't even charge her for services,Thank u so much!

Didn't show up to tow a camper but said he came but his truck wasn't able to do the tow. I was informed he never showed. Called another time about pikn up a car for salvage/scrap he offered me $160 said that's all I. Could get out of scrapping it said he knew for sure. No other pl e offered less than $300 and I ended up getting $450. He knew what he was doing tryna to hustle a single woman and take the car for half the value.
I called and requested a fuel delivery. I was told they was a 45 minute wait. I said that was more than okay and the woman got my location, truck information, etc and said she would call back in 10 minutes after she pulled over to get a card on file. After 1 hour of waiting(11pm-12am) I called back and she said they were almost ready to pull over and would call me back in 5 minutes. I called a lyft and got my fuel and went about my business. Arrived home at 230am and still no call back. If you don't want the service call don't answer and give a person false hope!
DO NOT USE THIS FRAUD OF A COMPANY!!! I tried to use this service starting at 8pm. He stated he was 45 minutes away but after HOURS of waiting up until 3 IN THE MORNING, THE GUY NEVER EVEN PICKED UP THE CAR!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME!
Very good towing service! Even late at night they are amazingly quick to respond and were able to help me get my car home when no one else could, and at a fair price compared to most as well. Very friendly and experienced driver!
They were incredibly quick to respond and get to my location. I have a lowered car and they were cautious and gentle when putting it on the rollback. I had my 6 yr old son with me and they drove us to the car service shop and even drove us home! Amazing people and wonderful company.
I would give no stars if I could this place is a rip off!! They were just supposed to tow my car but instead there driver tried to say he worked on my car and then demanded $150 extra dollars or I couldn’t have my car back and then they took it from sevierville back to there shop in Knoxville and locked it into there yard and went through my car and stole my jack that was holding the car up and my radar detector and Bluetooth for my radio and who knows what else and when I asked for it back they threatened to call the police on me for no reason!! It’s been months and I’m still trying to get my stuff that the owner admitted her driver had and now there acting like they never towed my car when i still have all the text messages from our conversation!!! Do not use this company!!!! Horrible horrible people!!!
Contacted them at 11:00 am. Arrived at 11:45 am. Said they had to go get a different truck because mine is stuck in park, which was fine. Said he would be back in 20 min. They called over an hour later and said they where on their way. Waited another hour and called again. Said they just got the truck started because it was out of fuel. They said they would be there in 8 min. Sit and waited for 30 more. Finally called another company. He pulled in a few min later and said that he got held up because his partner had to go see his parole officer. I told him I had called someone else and didn't require their services. There was no way I was going to let them hook to my truck. After waiting an hour for the other company,
I called to see about their estimated time of arrival. They informed me that a lady had called and canceled my tow. With a little investigation, I came to the conclusion that EJ had called and canceled it. The only reason I gave a full star on review is because there wasn't a 0 star option.
I personally had the best experience with this tow company. The men where very professional and knowledgeable about the towing considering I knew nothing about any of it. Lol. As far as price, it was very reasonable and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. I will be looking to use this company again. If you go with them you will not be upset.
Got stuck after my transmission main seal broke while dropping off a food delivery. The woman on the phone and the men who towed the vehicle were all super friendly, professional and offered good advice on how to go forward with the car. The price was extremely fair and had no issues with them what so ever. All Uber/DoorDash drivers should call here first for great service if you ever find yourself having a day like I just had. EJ Whitaker towing is the BEST!! When I called Amber to get a quote she gave me the best price possible asked every detail you could think of was very nice professional and understanding and patient! Alvin and Tara were there earlier than they said they would be smiles on their faces ready to jump out in the pouring rain to get my car on the truck! I will not use another towing company except for EJ Whitaker Towing! So happy to meet the people that work there and feel their compassion and understanding and see how hard they work! Best experience ever!
After AAA denied (both my husband and I when we called them..I in a panic!) we were customers, which we are...I called Whitaker’s! They were prompt, extremely professional and made my rather nasty experience better! They took much care pulling our classic Porsche onto the truck bed, and dropped it off at the auto shop quickly. The young lady who we dealt with was a sweetheart and smart, and the gentleman was courteous and kind. They were proficient and knowledgable... I had no worries for our much loved classic. I will have AAA use them in the future.
I had a tractor that needed to be brought from Seymour to New Market. He estimated it was going to be no more that 150.00 I agreed and gave him the address. He was on time and communicated with me the whole time. When he got there my mom and I started talking to him and believe he is a wonderful person. The price did go over 150 but, he would only take 150. He said he priced it not to go over 150 and that was all he was going to charge me. I am beyond impressed with this company and it's owner. I will forever recommend this company and use them again and again! I do not have any bad things to say about them at all. That is saying a lot from a fellow business owner!
Called them to request a flatbed transport of my classic car to a new address across town. They showed up on time and took very good care of my car while loading and unloading and were very careful with it while in transport. Would definitely use their service again.
My wife an I were having car problems and needed the car towed back to our house in Lenoir City, called multiple tow companies in Knoxville an they had the best price. The lady one phone was super helpful an the driver got to me really fast within 30 mins. Where everyone else told me a couple hours. I will definitely be recommending them an use them again if I ever need a car towed.
Very genuine people that helped me out in a pinch. I needed to get a car with engine problems to my mechanic. I was picked up in 30 minutes and even offered a ride to my job, which was about a mile from the drop-off. I hired them again the following day to get my car back home and have them saved in my phone for whenever the need arises in the future . Their rates are reasonable and they are very friendly .
Super friendly, but more importantly the only guy to actually show up to help me. I had no way to get my car going and after using Verizon's HUM service I waited 4.5 hours for two different companies. Ej Whitaker's towing showed up extremely fast and right after helping someone else, definitely the right people to go to when you need help. 20/10
