This place has a little of everything! Although on my first trip, I only walked out with a book, I’ve been back several times for planter pots, and just general looking around to see what they might have that would interest me. If you are in the market for furniture, embroidered pillowcases, random clothing, pieces for children and adult adults. This is the place for you.
Amazing selection of furniture and garden items, the ladies who helped my husband and I out were extremely rude and seemed unwilling to help or communicate properly where we needed to go to pick up our items. They both rolled their eyes multiple times when we asked questions. Definitely need to work on customer service!
This store does have some beautiful things...but they are not cheap as the name might suggest. So lots of rando items...and rather expensive, especially the furniture. What I like are the outdoor pots, they seem reasonably priced so I'm concerned about quality. I guess I will find out. I bought 4 XL pots at $44 a piece. They are nice looking. Customer service is non-existent so be prepared to find, haul and help yourself.
The staff here are highly unprofessional. There was a female employee (possibly Asian) who was working Tuesday, September 16th who was jumping around the front of the store mocking mentally challenged individuals. She had her hand over her chest and was making uncomfortable and obnoxious gestures/noises.
I will never support any business that supports this type of behavior.
My husband and I were looking for flooring today and decided to stop here first. We were just looking around and a really nice gentleman came up and asked what project we were working on. We explained that we were having to replace our laundry room flooring due to recent flood damage. He asked a few questions regarding the room. Then he took us to the flooring that he recommended, explained the installation, calculated the amount we needed, etc. His name was Marco. He went above and beyond to help us. It’s rare to get that kind of assistance today. We definitely recommend Southern Salvage.
Not architectural salvage. This is an overstock/surplus store where they sell mass-manufactured items that did not sell at major retailers. If you’re looking for architectural salvage/reclaimed materials, look elsewhere.
Unfortunately we have not had very good success here. The item we wanted to purchase, displayed on the wall, was not made available. The floor clerks were unwilling to negotiate, a manager was called, said he’d check into it… haven’t heard back.
A great place to find all types of home items for deep discounts. Fun to browse as available merchandise changes every day. Now, they carry refrigerators and ovens at great prices.
I've been going here for over 20 years. I was so excited to visit on short visit to Chattanooga and few weeks ago. Still amazing deals! Still awesome staff!
They advertising à price on their website, but items are more expensive at the actual store. I had to pay 4.99 à bag for river rock. Is 3.49 on their current website. She says thry never update the site. So it is what it is! Deceitful !
Tried to get a refund to no avail nor any apologies or concerns on a defected mirror that broke after being hung properly. The bracket came off the subpar backing causing the mirror to fall off the wall causing damage to my walls and shattered pieces of broken glass everywhere on my new floors. It was a a total mess and could have been extremely dangerous if someone was near where it happened. The girl manager with no apologies just said I could only get a mirror of the exact kind. I told her that I do not want a defected mirror and they should not be allowed to sell that mirror to anyone else because it is defected with poor quality backing. Very poor service and “integrity”. I walked out without a $59 refund and SE Salvage lost a customer that was about to spend a couple of hundred dollars or more on area rugs after my so called refund money. In my book it’s about being ethical and not how much someone or something is worth.
First time visiting in a while...they have expanded their home goods and still have amazing furniture and rugs as well as doors and floors..great ideas
Love this place! Bought a lot of really cool things that had great prices for my house I built 7 years ago. Here are a few from the recent purchase of planters to sinks made from rocks and my swing chair.
Southeastern Salvage has an eclectic mix of home decor. It's the only place I've been where you can find unique items such as a bar made from a scooter, a wine cabinet made from an air compressor tank or bar made from the front of a car. They have a fantastic selection of rugs and front doors, as well as really nice mirrors. You will also find uniquely designed leather sofas. This store is for those who don't follow trends and want their home to have quality pieces that are truly conversation pieces.
One of my favorite stores! They have such a wide selection of goods and it’s always changing.
The furniture selection is always fun the browse and since we are currently remodeling our home it’s nice to look through the bathroom vanities, sinks, and hardware. They have an enormous area filled with tiles and and rugs, plus the lighting area is lovely to browse.
We are also updating our yard and Ive been surprised with their array of garden decor, plants, and pavers.
I will always come here first when starting a new project or looking for ideas. This store is fantastic!
VERY UNIQUE items that I've never seen elsewhere! I live over an hour away but the trip is definitely worth it if you're after something eye-catching and one-of-a-kind!

Loads of items for every style and design taste. Fun to window shop and treasure hunt. Also, whomever did the woodwork in the restroom deserves a pat on the back. Nicely done.
I just love shopping here. They have so many different items to see. I have purchased a lot of things at my visits to Southeastern Salvage. I love elephants so, I purchased 2 very large and heavy vases for my foyer along with two small elephants. I have also purchased two wooden stools. They are strong enough to use as a chair or stand on. But, I use those to set my plants on they are great. On one of my wooden stools I purchased a very large and heavy Crystal to sit on top of it. Just goegeous.
