Great place to sell your Scrap Metal. Everyone is helpful and the Yard is clean so I’m not worried about getting a flat.

SA lost my copper check and for over two months have not reissued a check nearly $300 I've called many times and each time I'm told soon. Wow!!!

The cashier at the pay window is the rudest person. She gives you looks that could kill, rolls her eyes at you, shrugs her shoulders if you ask her questions and won't speak to you. Even if you say thank you, she won't even respond. I have been there several times and have been treated this way pretty much every time. Don't know how she keeps her job. Would rather go somewhere else than deal with this person. And everyone I know who has ever had to deal with her says they were treated pretty much the same way by her. I don't understand why you would keep someone like this working for you. SMH

By far the rudest cashier I have ever encountered at a recycling place. I will never use this place again and I will go out of my way to recycle somewhere else.

Arrived 20 mins before closing but went to the wrong end because of lack of signs or anyone to tell you where to go. Made it to the scales 10 mins before 4 but was turned away by employees that had enough for the day. I understand where they are coming from but I still won't be back to this one.

The young lady who checks customers in was extremely nice My wife and I were late by two minutes maybe She could’ve said no easily but I’m sure she saw our expression and knew our desperation. Thank you and you deserve a raise.

Trucking companies that have served this yard for over 30 years are being replaced with a Trucking company that has been in business for only a short time. This has happened in Chattanooga, Knoxville, Atlanta, and other cities within the Nashville region. The rate structure is no different. One has to question why these companies with years of experience are being pushed out. Their drivers, and the companies have been destroyed by SA These companies have served for years, and their drivers and the companies have been devastated by SA. Obviously, there are underlying reasons for this. Only to add insult to injury, SA cut up one of my flatbed trailers by mistake, and sold me a trailer, but didn't give me the title. I returned the trailer, after years of upkeep. When I tried to discuss this with Jason Avery, the person apparently over this area, he ignored me. I am not a disgruntled contractor, but if SA does this to contractors with years of service, imagine what they will do to you, selling scrap. I suggest that you go elsewhere if you want an honest price. Now, after all of this ,we find that SA has tried to recruit our oldest driver. Luckily for us, the driver turned them down and said he was happy with us. What kind of company stoops to this level? STAY AWAY!!@ These people are the lowest of low. However, it only seems to be in the region under Jason Avery Other regions seem to be honest and upstanding. There has been no response to negative comments. This company continues to cater to positive reviews, rather than respond to all reviews. If you take the time to look at the reviews, all are before SA, Jason Avery took over.

Was much better when it was PSC. They can't even give prices over the phone. Won't be back here.

Love the layout of the place in Chattanooga, im always in and out, usually with no wait time; plus they help you with your stuff instead of just sitting there watching you work.

I travel all over the US. One of the worst sites I’ve been too. 3 weigh in/out scales. Only using one scale for entering and exiting. No magnet machine on site only grapple claws. If you come here plan on it taking the majority of the day to haul 1 load off.

They are amazing! The employees are all cooperative and communicate with you where to go. I have tried to tip them on occasion, but they are self-effacing and refuse tips. One employee named Blake even helped me with some tips on where to take car batteries if I wanted to make even more money. It's reasons like this that I trust them and will keep returning. Also, Jeannie at the front desk is super bright and always helpful. These people are A+ service all around.

I have amended this review from one star to four stars. Clif Garrison at PSC metals resolved this issue with the utmost professionalism. We will use PSC in the future. The yard is as clean as we have seen, and besides the difficulty described below, we found PSC as a very good option for recycling metal. As of 07/06/2018, there is a sign at the scale that says "Do not sit on yellow scale." Today was our first trip to PCS metals. So we pulled up onto the scale, saw our weight at 6200, saw the sign that said "Do not sit on yellow scale", and we obeyed the sign, assuming our weight had been recorded. We then unloaded our scrap. Pulled back onto the scale to leave, the lady working the scales, asked us what we needed. She then proceeded to explain, that since we did not stop at the first scale and wait, we would not receive the money for our scrap. She said we were welcome to go back out into the pile and recover it, and re weigh if we wanted. Bottom line, we obeyed the sign saying " Do not sit on yellow scale." Ultimately this cost us around $35.00.

Went there for the first time this past Friday. It was well organized and any questions I had the workers would stop what they were doing and politely answer them. I've been to 2 others but because of the cluster "F$^$" they operated in I vowed to never go back. Plus, PSC is the highest paying in Chattanooga. I will certainly go to them again.
