Dropped off roughly 2000lbs of scrap metal. Only got paid $43. Scrap was paying $.04 at the time. Seemed like he paid out about half. Never scrapped metal before, definitely won’t do it again. Also had to deal with addicts arguing and fighting with each other while I was there.

Best place in Nashville to take scrap. Always fair. I dropped over $400 there one time and he returned it back Good honest people

This place doesn't pay top dollar. Can bring heavy metal that wouldn't fit in the shredder so there will pay .2 cents per pound..

The place was straight up legit. The manager was pleasant and helpful. It's not a huge place like some others in town. That makes it easier to get in and out. I dig this recycling center

They have made a business by being open on Saturday. They don’t even pay half of what the other people pay. The guy running it is very nice though good enough service but only gets one star because of his price

By far the best of the best this man used to be able to give you cash on spot. Since thrives ruined this he has a 5 day hold on copper but Still this is the only place I'd ever take anything. This man is such a great person always fast polite friendly helpful and bussinuess like. 10 stars all day top notch.

Went to recycle some copper. There were no signs or instructions on where to go or what to do, when some one came outside to finally talk to me I said I have some metal to turn in he told me to weigh up and dump in the back, I was confused seeing as how he didn’t ask what kind of metal I had he then yelled and pointed “Dump in the back!!!” I said are you sure the metal is copper he then said well you said you have metal and I informed him and his mind was blown that copper is a type of metal. He then told me to come up front so I did and after I was almost done unloading he informed me he wouldn’t be able to pay me for five days( some kind of tax on the copper) I politely loaded my metal and left. Trust me just find another recycling establishment you will get more bang for your buck

Looks like they are paying way under market. The scale looked accurate , I knew my approx weight. It's close to my other chores but I won't go back. Too cheap

Brought a few hundred feet of 2/0 insulated welding cable, and employee tried telling me the insulation made the wiring only work .30 cents a pound.... Drove 15 minutes up the street and sold it for $1.50 a pound. They attempted to rob me because they assumed a young person would just accept their thieving offer. Pros: Short drive Cons: Offers 20% of what it's worth.

Every time I sell scrap copper or whatever I have they never give me the change. Over the past year that has added up to $76.95 it may not seem like it's a lot but it really adds up quick. And I ask about my change and his response is I don't give change when I kne they used to do so. So I will be call ing the BBB on them

HUGE RIP OFF!! Go somewhere else!! I work for an A/V company and had about a truck full of copper wire (mostly all CAT5, CAT6, AWG22) to take in and scrap. This was my first time taking wire in to scrap and was taken advantage of greatly. I had over 300 lbs of wire and was supposed to get somewhere between $1.10 - $1.70 for it per pound. That’s what I was told on the phone based on the yard guys estimate. When I got there on Saturday 3/7/22, I filled up 3 carts full of all my wire and took them in. He weighed them and never told me anything about pricing until he handed me the sheet to sign and finger print. He was difficult to communicate with and gave me very little information. Again, this was my first time ever doing this but from what I was told, I was expecting $400ish. I noticed the amount I was supposed to receive was only $68. This came as a shock to me and I asked the man why it was so low and stated that I thought it should be more. His response was a shoulder shrug and an “eh”. In shock, I didn’t question it because I didn’t know I was getting ripped off here until I took the remaining cable that they didn’t accept (it was lesser quality) to a different place where I got $1.01/lb vs the $0.15/lb that I got from All Star for my higher quality cable. All I can do now is try and help the next person to not make the same mistake I did. Please go somewhere else!

This scrapper is fairly well known for accepting and scraping stolen vehicles. I have it on very good authority that they scrapped my best friends car after she was assaulted and carjacked. DO NOT patronize this "business"! There are many other scrapyards and recyclers that offer MUCH better rates for your scrap.

It's actually gotten a little worse as far as pricing goes over the past 3 years. They used to compete and the same on scrap metal as the others. Now they pay 1cent more than just half of their competitors. So really as of this moment the only really good thing they have going for them is that they are open 7 days a week and only closed 1 day a year.

I don't know why people keep leaving horrible reviews for this business. I've gone there for years and can probably explain why the employees are are not always in the best mood. Recently the scrap market is overrun with people who have stolen copper. I wouldn't be in the best mood either if I had to deal with some of the people I have seen there at the scrap yard all day, everyday. There is a language barrier also with a few of the employees but the place is honest and gives good pricing so I'll continue to use them.

I'm so thankful I was in a very good mood this morning. I would probably be in jail right now with a potentially serious charge. I really am thankful. Never again!!! That is all. Won't be coming back

It was not a good experience ! those people are rude crude and ill-mannered and seem to have a chip on their shoulder. I accompanied a young lady friend of mine who was scrapping her unit out, had been replaced Trader her terribly these people have no respect for women. I have been there a number of times and i've become not a fan. Just so you know I intend to tell everyone I know not go there. Oh and I do understand it is a cultural problem 58 foreign countries later just so you know what it is and who it is you're doing with here Bob Jernigan

Found this recycling place nearby on a map search. At first you may not know where the office is but everything is located in the back. Drive trough the gate at the side of the building and turn left. The rest speaks for itself. Very helpful employee who will sort out and weigh all your scrap on the scale. Going by the rates you will get payed for what it's worth. Everything was a good experience only e-waste like computer parts were not accepted other than that it was great for any scrap metals like exhaust tubes, mufflers, alternators, etc. especially copper wire. I would recommend coming back.

It was my 1st time scrapping metal. I had no idea what to do and the guy just got aggravated every time I asked a question. I Had at least 550 pounds of metal & he only gave me $25. I don't think that's right. Terrible experience. Never go to this place.
Feb 08, 2020 -
The guy was extremely rude and seemed aggravated. They tried to pay me for 40 lbs less than what it was. I paid close attention to the scale and had to correct that. Also, they gave me 16 cents a pound for clean aluminum. I will NEVER go back!!!!

I had a great experience at All Star recycling. When I got there I drove straight in,no waiting. The lot was clean and organized. I put my copper in one of the shopping carts to be weighed. I was pleasantly surprised because I wasn't sure exactly how much I had but I figured it was at least 30 or 40 lbs. It was 60 lbs of copper tubing and 5 lbs of wire. I walked out with $112 within 5 minutes of getting there. I've read some negative reviews here about people getting cheated out of weight but they treated me very fairly.

They are lower than Pcs prices and they will Not allow you to give what you want to give such as: if somthing has a motor in it,and you have to take it off before you get there ,or you have to dump it all off at once. You are Un able to clean anything there ,you have to just drop it off only. The only good thing that this place is good for is that it is the only place that is open on the weekends and holidays ,so if you are short on cash you can come to them.......

Fast and simple. These folks are all about their business. Don't try and be smart or funny with them. They have a whole list of banned patrons. Can't guarantee you won't get a nail in ur tire but hasn't happened to me yet! Closed Christmas and Thanksgiving day.

Horrible experience. Had 80lbs of clean aluminum gutters, which should bring 40 cents a pound. Which equals 32$. Even after I showed the man the picture I took before and after the scale. He refused and said well go take your shit somewhere else. He gave me 10$ and told me to get lost. Wont ever go to 0 star recycling again. Hate that man and don't even know him. Go back to where you're from. Maybe you would be nicer and not a miserable excuse for a man.
Aug 07, 2019 -
These guys are fine if you've got some metal you don't want. They don't pay you what it's worth, but they're open on the weekends. Noone else is open on the weekends. Don't go here if you're trying to make bank I guess.
Mar 16, 2019 -
If you want to feel violated and get ripped off. First time they tried to do me on weight (me make mistake, sowwee!) Most recent time only gave a third of market value on cast aluminum $0.10. A@#HOLES!

Beware this facility. He will rip you off and acts like he doesnt speak english. My suggestion is always go to downtown nashville to scrap. This is just where crackheads go to get a quick buck. I took a 1,000 lb clean brass ring gear there which brass runs about 2.00-3.00$ I told him it was brass before i unloaded it. Once it was off he said he’d only give me scrap steel price and walked off. Needless to say i had no way of getting it back on the truck. Avoid him at all costs and someone shut his business down.

Owned and operated by Chinese that act like they don't speak English. I had 230lbs clean aluminum 80lbs dirty aluminum and 115lbs stainless steel and I walked away with 76 dollars and change. I'll never go there again. I don't care if I have to wait all weekend on another one to open.

No one speaks english, and very rude. Called got an answer then hung up on. Continuted to call with several no answers. Would not say if they had metal sorting because i had all steel. Acted like he didnt understand and no signs saying prices. I got 44 bucks for over 1300 pounds. He wrote down my weight on the receipt then wrote a new receipt 350 pounds less like i wouldnt notice at 0.05 a lb. I should have gotten over 20 dollars more and a receipt they failed to produce. Dont come here. Scam artists. The 5 star ratings are girls that likely dont know there are diff prices for diff metals and what the current markets price is (not hating on women, just saying more men work with metal than women). Plus there was a place paying .08 a lb. with no sorting either the same day.

This place is a mixed bag. They mean well, but due to such a confined space and limited staff it can be a bad experience. Pros: 7 days a week. If you are like me and scrapping is more of a convenient way to get rid of excess materials from jobsites etc., this is wonderful. Nice lady at front desk. Good hours. They are not super picky with what you drop off. Cons: Nails!!! It is disorganized and if there are more than 4 trucks there, it is a nightmare without any direction. The place is often very dirty. It's fine if it were junkyard, but with all that loose metal YOU WILL eventually get a nail. Their prices reflect their more generous taking of things. Usually 25% or more less than the main metal yard in town. It's a great place in a pinch or off hours. They also take computers and other random things which is nice. However their scales are a little off at times and overall supervision is a bit lax.
