This morning I went into the shop to get a new car battery right around opening hours. The woman working was super helpful and kind! She identified the exact battery for my car and explained precisely the options that were available to purchase. She was more than willing to offer all the help she could and even installed the battery! Both herself and her coworker were upbeat and positive as they replaced the battery! I would definitely recommend this store and I will return if I have any future car troubles! The customer service was truly outstanding!

If I could give this store less than a one star I would! There is a young chubby kid working in there I walked in asking for some Lucas hub oil he took me to the greeses.... And I said no we need the oils and then the phone rang so he just walked off....... I walked around and looked He's trying to tell me he cannot find anything in the store without a year model of the vehicle.... I'm trying to explain to him it's not for a vehicle it's for an 18-wheeler Jeep wheel! He still argued with me so I just walked back there and looked myself and it was on the other side of the island where he went to the greases when I brought it up to the counter to pay for it I told him where it was he said well that's what I was trying to tell you we can't find it without a year model and so I gave up The argument with this child that obviously had no idea what he was doing and told him I just expect you to do your job I should not have to do it for you. He then said would you like a refund? I said that I ask for a refund All I did was ask you to do your job. He absolutely has no idea what he's doing and is very rude to the customers especially women

The employees have definitely gone downhill. Very unprofessional. Had a personal encounter with an employee that pushed me because I was trying to throw trash away.

Braxton was a LIFE SAVER! He helped me get a headlight bulb for my Mitsubishi Mirage and was extremely helpful. It’s so nice to find nice helpful people! Will definitely be back!!!!

Helpful staff. Easy access. Hours of operation. Often has what I need or willing to order . **this is typical when one particular clerk is NOT present. This grumpy dark haired man has made a few poor recommendations, some causing unnecessary stress. Has a generally bad, negative or unpleasant attitude that feels directed at me. This has happened several times in the last 2 years or more. I have not experienced this with anyone else in this store,nor any other store in recent memory. I still like the chain store as it is very convenient and I often forget about the "enigma" til I pull in to the lot. I will wait to be helped by other clerks when possible, but get stuck with this one unless I walk out and go to Autozone or O'REILLY'S, both of which are not much better at customer service than the grouch who steels good moods. Just sayin' ?

Always so helpful here, no matter who waits on you. Light installs like batteries, wiper blades, etc. Definitely my go-to auto parts store.

Leaving a review because of how friendly and understanding the two guys were when I walked in at closing time. The door was about to be locked but they waited on me and I was able to get the car battery I needed. They totally did not have to but it speaks to their character that they went out of their way to help me!

The team at Advance were so kind and helped me not be as late to work after my car battery died. The team here truly cares and they were a joy to be around during an experience that could have been way more stressful. I’m so thankful for their care and expertise!

I went here to see if they could help me with a tire issue. I have never experienced such a rude and disrespectful customer service. A young guy was nice but there were an old and middle age guys who had no respect for customer. In any business they try to be helpful and respectful to women, but this advance auto parts shop sees everyone as dollars $$$$. Clemson has a community friendly environment, so these dudes need to learn how to be business friendly and respectful. Stay away. Zero star.

It's a descent auto parts start, 5 stars when they get their online hours listed correctly. Suggested edit has been submitted to fix this. Upgrading to a five star due to the quick response and proactive measures already being taken to correct the small hours of operation discrepancy.

Great service. They went above and beyond helping me with my alternator. Was hard to test but they did it. Bought a new one from them and it worked great

TRIED to shop here tonight. I verified their hours before I left my house (which said they closed at 9 pm), pulled in the parking lot at 8:00 on the dot, and the doors were locked, with customers still inside!! This is the second time this has happened to us. Definitely will not be going back to try again!

Everytime I try to go get a last minute part, the doors are locked and they refuse to let us run in and grab it. Their hours online do not match the hours on the door and the times I've went when the doors were locked, it was 15mins before they're supposed to close! Tonight we went and the doors were locked and there was still customers in there. The cashier looked at us mean and shook his head. The hours say they close at 9pm and this was at 8:10pm. They're always so rude everytime I've been in there and act like we put them at an inconvenience to do their job. Absolutely ridiculous!

I went in, stood there at the counter for 15 min, never got acknowledged. Then when I finally got the employees attention I attempted to purchase a part, (that I found on advanced auto’s website) and he blew me off saying I couldn’t get that part nor order it. When I could have just clearly ordered it online. Which I ended up doing… Terrible service, do better.

Alec was very helpful in making sure I chose the correct low beam bulb for my car. He explained the differences between bulbs they offered, who knew there were so many differences? I appreciate that he wasn't acting like he was in a rush to make a sale and send me out the door.

I came in with a misfiring cylinder on a Sunday because all the repair shops were closed. Alec was extremely helpful with diagnosing the cause of the problem and figuring out the best way to get it fixed. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and gave honest advice. I had a great experience and I’m very thankful for such helpful staff.

I'm from out of town. Stop for windshield wipers and a turn signal bulb. Young gentleman named Jared help me find everything I needed also assisted me with a bulb change also spent about $70 more than anticipated by buying cleaners floor mats several tools. And very pleased with the courteous service that this gentleman gave me everyone in the store was also courteous need more people like them in the world!

Been here twice. I love two work on my truck performance wise. Both times I was here that was not the case. Employees are friendly enough to make nyou forget about what your about to get into shortly and knowledgeable enough to remind you what you might need. I have been in retail from loader to upper management and it's been awhile since I have ran across a group of employees that can do both.

Wow, a fantastic and model Advanced Auto Parts, I went here a few weeks ago to get a few replacement bulbs for my rear brake lights. The two guys (sadly I forget their names) were exceedingly helpful and helped me to find the appropriate replacement bulbs spending ~20 minutes helping me search and match my somewhat rare bulbs. After finding the bulbs, I casually remarked that I was thinking of switching to LED headlights from my 30 year old halogens. One of the guys (longer hair) offered to look at my car, said hey I think it'd be an easy swap, and found an easy replacement. After that he helped me install them and troubleshoot a loose connection in my tail lights. He was really friendly and helpful, and I was really appreciative of his help, not to mention no added charge. He made all the difference and I will most certainly go to this Advanced Auto Parts for my generic car needs

Was stranded and traveling from out of town. Purchased a battery and a small tool kit to install the battery in a 2013 Dodge Avenger. This particular battery has to be installed by taking the driver front wheel off, and removing the fender liner. Car started once and wouldn't even jump start with new battery installed. So I had to have the car towed to the local Chrysler dealer in Keowee. The dealer tested the Advance Auto battery it tested bad with a dead cell with only 2 .03 volts. Finally got the car back home a week later and returned the battery to a local Advance Auto Parts in NC. Contacted the store manager and explained that I shouldn't reasonably have had to tow a vehicle to a dealer and pay a diagnostic fee due to a dead battery off their shelf. Manager kinda blew me off and gave me his district managers number who is also blowing me off. It's been 48 Hours since I left him a voicemail. I will be calling the corporate customer care team in Roanoke about it AGAIN. I was employed by Advance Auto and was a General manager as well. This isn't how you treat customers.

Seneca store was not helpful a few weeks ago (I asked for a new battery; salesperson brushed off my request, jumped my vehicle and sent me on my way! I am still very confused about why he didn’t sell me a battery). Today I once again jumped my vehicle at home and went to the Clemson store. This experience was even worse. There was absolutely no interest in helping me. After vaguely pointing to where I might find a clamp, the salesperson did not even address my request for a new battery (he simply went on to the next customer). Then, because my vehicle wouldn’t start, I needed to get someone to pick me up from home (20 minutes away) and then come back later to jump my vehicle.

This store offers good frequent shopper rewards and coupon deals. If they don't have something in stock, they can usually order it and overnight it to the store (no charge), but don't bet the farm on when they tell you it will be in stock. This location has had some fairly knowledgeable and helpful workers over the years. I wish they paid enough to retain the talent, as the good ones come and go every couple of years. An associate named Benji, an athletic girl in her 20's, and a dude with a cammed focus come to mind as some of the most helpful. The only trouble I have with the location is that they often have incorrect inventory data. Often, you call in or visit looking for a specific part, and you are told that it is in stock given the computer data, and when an employee actually goes to find it on the shelf it is not there. Whether this is from employees faking inventory self-audits or perhaps sticky fingers, it can be frustrating and I recommend asking employees to verify that they actually have the product in hand before you drive into town. Make sure you sign up for SpeedPerks, their frequent Shopper program, which will offer you a variety of valuable coupons in the mail. It's good to keep these coupons in the glove box in case you need to stop in for parts. Also, the store makes good on their rebate deals, sending out gift cards in a reasonable amount of time.

The staff here is always very helpful, and if they don't know exactly what you're looking for, they will take the time to educate themselves and find the right part. They even went so far as to go through almost every single brass fitting they had in stock tonight to find the part I was looking for to no avail. At the end of the day I ordered it from Amazon because it would arrive faster, but that is no fault of the staff. Definitely worth the effort to come here

Have been using Advance for years because of their close location to where I shade tree mechanically mess with things. They have always been very helpful and have been able to get anything I need within less than 24 hours. Great people and clean store.
