We are from another state, our vehicle broke down on a Sunday evening. As we waited for more than an hour for our insurance to get a hold of road service, we found Pee Dee Towing (google) and even though it was late at night, Gene came within minutes of receiving our call. He was very kind and professional. Gene is a very knowledgeable local and will guide you with good recommendations (hotel, mechanics, etc) We totally recommend him! What a guy I called him our angel we were on the side of the road he brought our truck and small U-Haul to his place and then took his own personal truck and drove us to Florence SC at a hotel. He went out of his way for us when a transport truck from Canada came to pick it up the truck he got it all organized to come home.
When your sooo far from home your at the mercy of the people and you meet someone like this guy that’s when you know there’s still lots of good people that you will meet in your path.

I called Jean at almost 10 pm at night after AAA didn’t try to get me with 100 mile coverage from 730 pm until 3 am when I cancelled the order. Jean drove me from a gas station on the side of 95 all the way to Charleston , about 97 miles. The entire ride I talked to Jean and he is one of the nicest, genuine and caring people I have ever met. I recommend him completely for any towing or pickle you might find yourself in. Thank you again for actions Jean I will never forget it.
We broke down at 3am with a large work truck loaded with livestock. Gene rescued us from the roadside quickly. He wasn’t willing to give up when the truck was proving to be a challenge to tow. Gene got us towed. Recommended a mobile diesel mechanic and got us back on the road in no time while also keeping our livestock safe. I highly recommend Pee Dee Towing to anyone who is need of help.
Gene was an answer to our prayers when he picked up our family up on the side of the road outside of Florence, SC. He towed our broken down car and helped us get to our rental car in Myrtle beach. We couldn’t have asked for better service or a better person to help us in our time of need.

On January 20, 2023 I was driving a rental truck and towing a vehicle on the back on a trailer. The trailer spring broke and ruined the tire. I cautiously got off the interstate for everyone's safety. The rental company had Gene respond to my call, he removed my vehicle from the trailer and towed the trailer to his garage, then returned and towed my vehicle to a motel. He then said to call him when I got the new trailer and he would help me load my vehicle. This all happened between 1:30 am & 4:00 am.
I cannot have been more pleased with Gene from Pee Dee Towing.

Gene was so great! This was the first time my car had ever been wrecked, and my insurance would only tow 50 miles but we were about 80 from anywhere that I could possibly have it go, and we called Gene and he was there quicker than I could have imagined. He was so kind and courteous, he drove my dad and I to the nearest gas station and made sure we were okay. I appreciated everything he did for us, and he made the whole process easier for me. I certainly recommend him for anything you need.
Gene is such a kind man. My mom was stranded for over 6 hours with a blown tire and he went out of his way to help her. He towed her car to a shop and since they were all closed he drove her to get food and dropped her off at a hotel. Most companies wouldn't be so kind. This man is the kindest person I’ve ever met. My car broke down and he was there in 30 minutes communicating with me and making sure I was safe every step of the way. A previous mechanic did not put a proper clamp in my car and Gene went out of his way to ensure that I was safe he took me all the way home. I wish I could give him 10 stars for his kindness and willingness to help me in a crisis.
We were broken down in the middle of the night/no where. Our insurance company tried to send us to a shop that was unreliable and he helped us to find one that could actually help. We were picked up in less than an hour. He was extremely helpful and took us out of the way for a hotel and repair shop. Would recommend his services to anyone! 10/10 this man is a legend
I was stuck on I-95 with a flat tire. Gene came to my rescue. He was timely, efficient, knowledgeable and very much a gentleman. Luckily, he carried the necessary tools, an impact wrench in my case, to remove the bolts, as otherwise they would not have been removable and I would’ve had to have been towed for further assistance. If my daughter were to get a flat tire, I would have her call Gene at Pee Dee Towing. Undeniable excellent service!

I made the unfortunate mistake of running out of fuel in my truck and OnStar was sending a a different company to bring me fuel but it was going to take them an hour and a half so I called Pee Dee towing and transport and Mr. Gene Strickland was out of town but still sent his son bring me fuel. I was treated with absolute respect and the rate was more than reasonable. Thank you for being such a gentleman !!! I would absolutelyw a doubt recommend you to anybody!!
After a rough day at work and some unfortunate car issues, G. Strickland came in and helped with making my day a little better. Great service, and a nice attitude to boot.
