I was visiting a nearby town when we noticed a leak in one of the tires. Locals recommended Kost and luckily was able to just make it before they closed on a Saturday. The whole process was seamless and efficient. I was blown away when I was about to pay because it was free of charge! Totally unexpected and lifted my spirits. I didn’t get his name but assume it was the manager who said something like “you guys were having a bad day already from what happened and we don’t want to charge for that”. I felt so blessed by this whole situation and totally lifted my spirit. I realized there were similar reviews when I got back. I’d totally trust them with your car. Amazing place - highly recommend!

Kost was wonderful. I came in from out of state and had low tire pressure. They took my car right in no appointment and patched my tire, checked everything out for me so I could get home safe and sound. I would highly recommend the shop to everyone. I have also went to the one in Forest City. Same great service.

I drove in with a tire having a slow leak. I did not have an appointment, but in a reasonable amount of time, they took the car in and fixed the tire. I was so surprised when they told me that there was no charge. I will definitely go back to Kost when I need service. The employees were very professional and friendly.

Just before a recent 400 mile trip, my dashboard revealed a low tire pressure warning. I brought the car into Kost, where they quickly found a 4” nail in the tire. They fixed it quickly told me they do not charge for flat tire repair. Kudos for great service!

Excellent service and accommodation. Got a screw in a tire, made it in by stopping every 2 minutes to fill it up. When I asked how much it would be to fix a flat I was told it wouldn’t cost a dime and they can have it in immediately. Took less than 30 minutes to patch the tire from the inside, life saver.

Kost Tire has been my go to tire store for years. Never been disappointed. Just recently started using Honesdale store, great service, would highly recommend.

Bought tires from them and also had my car serviced there. I highly recommend them. Very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. They are at the top of my list for car servicing. They also have a great guarantee on their tires.

What a life saver. Have a screw in the tire. I was in a pickle and a rush to grab my daughter from school. Not only they patch it but they took me in asap. Previously went to mavis and told me it was going to be over an hour wait just to get the car in. Kost tire took me in and had me back in the road in minutes we’ll recommend to anyone in the area. After traveling for work and getting into my Jeep to end my day . I heard hissing and looked at the tire and saw a screwing sticking out of my tire. I stopped by the Kost in Honesdale and was welcomed by a gentleman who took my information and keys. I waited for a little bit and then my name was called. I was greeted by the same man, and this time the mechanic (Austin) was with him. He explained what was stuck in my tire and that it was fixed. I attempted to take my card out and pay, but was informed that they do not charge to fix flats. I was so happy to hear that after a stressful day. I did not have cash on me to slip him any cash. It was suggested to write a review. HONESDALE KOST is AMAZING!!!! They made my day better with ZERO stress!!!!!!!!

Highly recommended. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and they are always fair with their prices. I’d drive a half hour to this Kost over any other auto shops and tire dealers that are closer to me. The storeroom/waiting area is clean and comfortable too and they have free WiFi for customers so it makes the wait less boring if you do have to wait, though almost every time I’ve been there, I’ve been in and out in under an hour, sometimes under a half hour.

John’s expertise was invaluable, and his customer service was flawless and above. The best car (tire) service I have ever had! Thank you! Oh, my Dad who is a Vet, who you also helped says thank you!

I was taking a sick kitten we had found to the Vats office next door, but when I put it in my car, it panicked. The last I had seen her, she was trying to get up under the dash board on the passenger side. When I got to the Vet, I couldn't find her. The Vet's assistant and I searched the car, but no luck. I was really afraid she was stuck in the dashboard and couldn't get out. I've been going to Kost auto for years although I had never been to that location before. I stopped in to see if they could help. They took some panels off the dashboard, used a camera they could insert into tight places but couldn't see her any where. Just as we were giving up, one of the employees found her. She wasn't in the dashboard at all. It turned out she had climbed up into the fabric lining of the passenger seat. It was a great relief to know she was OK. I just wanted to thank all of the people that helped look for her.

Edit: I guess I can't respond to the business, so I am editing this. I want to remind you I came for 1) A dead battery 2) Sounds in the front (what I thought MIGHT be a wheel bearing), due to a road/pothole accident I informed you of. My 2nd opinion shop immediately found my core radiator support was bent and damaged. That was the first visible sign something was wrong from said accident that Kost folks did not find. I no longer have that vehicle. My insurance trashed it because of the inner damage when they got in there. I would have still been out $700 at Kost for something unrelated and no longer have said vehicle. And please, show your customers what's going on under their vehicle if there is a costly problem you're telling them needs to be replaced. That was what ignited my distrust in the first place. ------ $700 quote for a broken pipe gasket I'm confident they busted. Went for an assumed dead battery and sounds coming from my passenger side I needed checked out, had concerns about how my wheel barrings were holding up in the front. Waited while my car was on the lift and looked at. Watched the guy in the back rip and tear at the large protective covering situated over said pipe, jostling this pipe around. Wasn't spoken to or approached while it was in the air, but eventually was told it would just be my battery and loose plastic was removed fixing the passenger side noise. When I asked if I could have my inspection done here, they said yes but I wouldn't pass due to the exhaust piping under my vehicle. A piece was broken and there was a leak. At this point my car was no longer lifted, I hadn't been shown anything, and I just wanted to go home so had them call me to let me know how much that would be. On my drive home there was a new, distinct odor that wasn't present before. The leak. I received a call for a $706.00 overall cost. Wow! Alright, I got a second opinion elsewhere, and they took me under the vehicle to visually show me the problem. Leak needed a new gasket, a broken off piece could easily be welded back together, and a small section of my pipes in the back was deteriorating and was the most expensive fix but could be handled. $200.00 *maybe* of replacement and labor. That's about a 250% markup, Kost just wanted to replace the entire piping system and call it good. Maybe because I'm a woman, I wouldn't know any better. An exhausted, working woman that just wants a reliable running vehicle with good, honest work done.

I was in the area to pick up my gf’s new car and turns out my car a long nail that ripped my tire til the point it couldn’t be patched. I was looking for a used tire just to get around meanwhile but truth is I was better off getting new tires any way as mine had low thread. Scott was great I got 2 new tires and the install wasn't charged, he was very considerate of my situation. Great knowledgeable people!

Went to Kost tire in Honesdale and they were super helpful, i needed a flat fixed asap and they took me last minute. The service manager at the front desk was very helpful and a technician took my truck right away. They had me back on the road in 20 minutes.It was good to find a Business that put customer care and satisfaction foremost, will definitely be back.

KOST TIRE IS A RIPOFF. I was there for a fuel filter and to get 4 tires installed. I was shocked when I received my $394 bill. They charged me $90 for a $20 fuel filter and $107 to install it on top of $35 per tire to install. I called around afterward, and every other place in Honesdale was half the price. The Manager told me that’s what their prices are next time I should have asked before dropping off my car. Do yourself a favor and go to any other of the 20 places in Honesdale!

Service manager was great, set me up with the best tires for my truck without even seeing it, asked if I could get a wider and taller tire he definitely new his stuff . Didn't even bring my truck to him just the tires and rims,new tires beautiful and it don't rub on turns and gave it a good lift, and have a great team nice and polite. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐??.

My experience in Honesdale started with a phone call to Scott Gray regarding a tire that was losing air pressure. That turned into 2 tires that needed to be repaired, the purchase of 2 new tires, and a 4 wheel alignment service. He and Domenic were both cordial and professional while taking care of my car. The following week a second vehicle was in need of a special "not off the shelf" tire. Scott was able to locate one, had it delivered, and mounted on our truck the following day. Outstanding customer service never goes out of style. Thank you Kost Tire and the Honesdale team for taking care of our vehicles.

2 hours to get an oil change. 1 1/2 hours of work, then my truck sat in the parking lot for 1/2 hour. This was after being told to come back in 2 hours so I lost a total of 4 hours for an oil change. Then I was told about the complementary safety check I received. Since this is mainly a tire store, I expected they would at least check my tire pressure and either tell me they are all different or possibly go a step further and actually put air in them. But no- all 4 tires were different and ranged from 45 to 55 psi. The tire sidewall says 65 psi, so they actually let me leave with a tire 20 psi low on a 4500 pound truck! And the employee at the counter spelled my name wrong after I spelled it for him twice. I understand they are short staffed, techs are lazy and don't care, workers don't pay attention but this was a lot to deal with for my first visit. Not sure if I want to try again. Update: Owner says they tried to reach me. How would you go about that when my name is mispelled in your computer?? How could you find my phone number? LOL Unbelievable

Friday August 4th we had 4 new tires placed on our car. Dominick Mobilio had worked with us from sales through service. Given the store was extremely busy, he still found time to fit us into the same day with in a few hours. Would recommend this store and manager for any tire needs.

While being a customer for years.....I keep going back because of the service, advice and product that I receive at Kost. But this time, I was treated especially well......by both Dominick and Scott. They sold me the best tires for my Wrangler and they couldn't have been more professional. It was a pleasure going to Kost. GOOD PEOPLE!!!!

I ordered Sport Terrain TK8 wheels from Kost. Very happy with the way they look on my 2020 RS Blazer. Also, I like the all terrain tires that they picked out which are quiet on the highway and work well for off roading. Very pleased with the work by the technicians and the customer service personnel. This was the most professional, respectful, and polite group of employees. I called in the morning, they gave me a price for four tires and an amazing deal. I dropped my car off, they also inspected and gave it an alignment. They called me when it was ready, I paid my bill and I was headed home in no time! This was the most drama free experience I’ve ever had! Thank you Kost!!

Don’t trust them. Always double check their work before you leave. Although the services are done pretty quickly, I get quite frustrated here because they don’t do the service you ask of them. I went to get an tires, an alignment and to have my fluids checked and refilled. After the visit and going to work I decided to double check if you’ve put fluids in, and of course they did not. I just dropped $600 and they could can’t 2 mins to refill my coolant which is below the minimum line. This was something I asked for specifically and wasnt done. No fluids were filled. Although I have 6months left on my alignment contract, I doubt I’ll be coming here again. This isn’t the first time they haven’t completed their task correctly. About 6 months ago I went for an alignment I waited 7hrs and when I picked the car up, big shocker, it wasn’t aligned properly.

LOVED my experience at Kost Tire earlier this morning! I got a flat tire late last night and called them first thing in the morning to make an appointment. A friendly guy (I think his name is JT) said "Come over any time." So I did. They fixed the tire very quickly and put the spare back inside the trunk. When I asked them how much I owed them they waived the charges because, according to them, the job was quite easy. Great people - honest, hardworking, and generous. This is going to be my go-to place for all my future car troubles. Thank you so much, guys! Happy New Year!

I was losing air in one of my tires after a long ride the day before from NY. I popped in and they helped me immediately to diagnose which of the 4 it was. Although I had to wait a couple of days before they could get me in to fix it, fix it they did and I am forever grateful!! 40 minutes in and out! They are the best and highly recommend! Thank you to all the employees there! You saved the day!
