He charged 2 hours of work for looking over two cars after he agreed to accept $50.00 because it didn't take very long. Then an additional $25.00 for it being on his lot an extra day, a total of $166.00 Then it went up to $230.00 the next day when I had the car picked up! He was unprofessional and refused to explain the raised charges.

I made an appointment for inspection, tire rotation, and oil change. Everyone is very knowledgeable, customer service is very good, waiting area very clean. I highly recommend this business.
I was 250 miles from home, on-boarding a new client when my truck stopped working. I was in a huge bind and didn't know what was going on. Luckily my wife found this place and had me stop by. The people here took a look at my truck even though it was just before closing, figured out the problem and patched it up for me enough so I could make it back home and get it into my normal shop. AMAZING service that you rarely see any more. I wish this shop was closer to home I'd use them exclusively! THANK YOU guys, you really helped me out when I needed it!
I brought my Javelin to Oil City Automotive, for an alignment after installing aftermarket suspension parts, on the recommendation of a good friend. I found everyone I came in contact to be friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help.
The car came off the lift from the alignment much quicker than I had anticipated. It tracks straight as an arrow and drives as if it were new.
I highly recommend them.
I called to have my car towed here for a brake line to be replaced and to change out the rotors that I had bought. Two weeks later, I called and was told that no components needed replaced but a brake line had rusted, and they hoped to finish the work that day (Friday). The following Wednesday, they called back and said the work was done. When I picked up my car, they had replaced two calipers and didn’t replace the rotors. This was an awful experience.
Had my windshield cracked. I got it replaced. Took my car in to #OilCityAutomotive to replace the inspection sticker. I was inspected until 3/24...this was the beginning of October...I paid 15 dollars they replaced it. Granted I was in a hurry when I entered the car...and the back of the sticker said 3/24. But when I discovered the sticker actually stated 3/23 on the front I was a bit confused. I have been calling since 10 (over 2.5 hours)and not only does no one answer but it states the caller isn't taking any calls at all. Im super lucky I didn't have to go through the hassle of being pulled over. I would think they would allow someone to resolve this quickly.
Had my 84 Monte Carlo SS aligned after installing some suspension performance parts.
They were VERY careful with my classic car.

The owner will go above and beyond for his customers. I went to oc automotive to have a leveling kit and rear shocks and new upper control arms installed and the first kit of upper control arms I ordered were the wrong kind and the company I bought them from didn't have the right ones I needed listed on their website so the owner of oc automotive talked to the company for me and got them to fix their website and the owner of oc automotive also spoke with the company's customer service people and got the company to send me a new upper control arm kit without sending the other back and the owner of oc automotive also said that I didn't have to worry about returning the other kit cause the owner of oc automotive said he would return them to FedEx for me. I am proud to have such a great automotive shop in my area. I am forever grateful for the owner of oc automotive and the people that work there.
Took in both our vehicles, one they said had a bad battery, charged $200+ for battery and install, car still dies every time it gets cold. Took another vehicle there for blinking check engine, fixed that issue than proceeded to repair other check engine issues without authorization, stated it would only be $15 more for the other part. Got the same vehicle inspected. Called in after 2 weeks asking for status, was told it was done, walked there in 20 degree weather on my lunch break to be told it wasn't done as it sat outside with a foot of snow on top of it. New ownership is greedy and doesn't have their system in line. Never again will they get my business. A shame because the previous owner ran the company greatly and got it to the new venue they're in now.
Took my car in for alignment and I bought and installed new oem camber bolts to make it easier on them and they stated they needed to put theirs in to get correct the camber to which they didn’t know you could also adjust camber on the top hat of my car. Without asking me they installed and charged me an additional $60. They were unable to adjust the rear due to seized bolts in the rear which I understand that but that the end I was charged for a full alignment and was told to bring it back once they ordered the new bolts with my permission this time to adjust the rear and I was told “it’ll be cheaper next time”. Then comes the test drive. Luckily my car has valet mode and only lets my car run on half power but all of it was used on what was supposed to be a drive to check the alignment. My car tracks the highest boost pressure that was made and I reset it when I dropped it off and it was maxed out for the tune it was on. My car also won’t make full boost until after 5,000rpm. My car pulls harder than a freight train to the right and the steering wheel is off. A week later a friend he’s getting his car aligned there too and here’s the mechanic talking to others about how good his car runs once the turbo spools and was comparing how our cars ran to each other. Owner did offer to get my car back in and fix it but I will not be taking my car back to a place that does business like that!
We were loving the new owner of this place until things kept going wrong with our vehicles after service-and i mean nearly every time. I'm not saying it's the owners fault but he has somebody working for him that isn't doing his business any good. Honestly it was hurting his business and our trust, as well as our pocketbook. Damn.
The staff and mechanics are very helpful. I was quoted a price for work that needed to get done on my car but when they actually did the work the price was a couple hundred dollars more than the quote. But they kept the quoted price plus the extra parts and forgave the balance for the labor. I would recommend anyone take there vehicle to them.
This business offers that great home town feel that you can trust with any of your automotive needs. All the people that work there are friendly and really care that you are taken care of. I would highly recommend them.

Second year going to oil city automotive for repairs and inspection. Needed body work done this year and they referred me to Outlaw automotive for the body work. Both places were very fair and went out of their way to be accommodating. I'm coming back next year for sure.
Service here pretty reasonable. I have all my vehicles serviced here because they do very good work. They work with you to guarentee your satisfied and explain what needs and doesn't need fixed. Wow, what a nice place!! The staff were super nice, they was fast to get my car aligned to get me going again... The atmosphere was such a delight and so cozy made me feel like I was at home! I wish I could give more stars than 5 cause Oil City Automotive Center deserves more than 5 stars. I would recommend this place to anyone needing work done to their vehicle.

I trust these people to come through with their promises. A month before I came to these guys, I was ripped off by a guy who charged me 2000 dollars for a job he never did. The guys at oil city auto not only found everything wrong with the car, fixed everything wrong with it. My car has not had a problem in months.
Horrible experience! I think they never worked on a foreign car before! It took them 10 days to put a new heater core in my car and charged me $1000!!! That's with the $200 they charged me to flush the old core for 3 days! The horn stopped working the next day, and the air bag light is constantly on now! The heat is so-so and the a.c. that was supposedly charged is like warm cool at best. I took it back to them about a month ago because I was having trouble with my $1000 heater core/coolant system and they told me it was my head gasket and they could fix it for ++$1000!! It was the valve cover and I had an honest mechanic fix it for $180. Sure if you know nothing about cars and have the money to blow on being taken advantage of by shady automotive repair centers than by all means please take your car to Oilcity automotive! Ask for Sean and have your check book ready!!$$$$$
Oil City Automotive is the only repair garage that I have ever totally trusted. Brian is an excellent manager and goes out of his way to see that the customer is satisfied and the price has always been less than I expected. They have taken care of my automobiles and my F-350 Super Duty truck. They also winter store my "Sunday Go To Meeting" car. Venango County should be proud of this local business.
I am very satisfied with the work they did on my 2002 Ford Focus. I needed a heater core and they did a great job at a very fair price. I would recommend their repair shop to everyone in the Venango County area.
The staff are incredible and the pricing great. It is a great place to do business. I never feel confused or ripped off and the staff takes the time to explain what is going on in layman's terms so there is no confusion about what is happening.
