Best service! We got stuck in the snow on a Saturday and roadside assistance from car insurance told us two hours ETA. Bucks showed up in ten minutes and winched us out. They are the best!

Took my car in Monday morning with a problem. Picked it up Saturday morning to tow it to a different shop after being strung along all week. Was charged hundreds of dollars for work that didn’t fix the problem at all.

We were passing through town on our way to a wedding, and all of a sudden I couldn’t steer my truck. Buck’s showed up 5 minutes early with a tow truck and another truck to pull the trailer we had hooked on. They got us to the shop, had the part we needed, and had us out the door in under an hour. We were treated well and it was awesome to watch the team work. Fair pricing, great service. If we lived in the area this would be our go-to shop.

Refused to replace the part or refund $900.00 of my hard earned money for a defective exhaust y-pipe, which bucks, purchased online at Jimmy's parts for $425.00 after I gave them the exact part number from the Chevy dealership which belonged on my 2019 Chevy Silverado 5.3. The repair time, 1.9 hrs. The right side catalytic converter was defective due to an exhaust system leak, which kept throwing codes, P0420, P0430. I had another mechanic look at it for a 2nd opinion without touching or removing the exhaust, which was confirmed to be a malfunctioning defective right side catalytic converter exhaust issue. Having a second opinion doesn't void the warranty of any part. Confirmation was done via computer, resulting in codes, P0420 and P0430, and the right side was not seated properly, resulting in large amounts of exhaust fumes to enter the driver and passenger compartment. I returned to explain the issue a few days later, and they said they would contact the seller. It has been 3 weeks. I called every week for an update and only received excuses from Dave. After the 3rd week, I decided to visit Bucks Auto in Lewisburg, and that is where I was told the second opinion canceled the warranty. Dave also told me he would not fix it nor refund any money. I indicated that I would file a complaint with the district magistracy office, and he laughed and said, "Go ahead, Im still not fixing it or giving your money back." I asked to speak with the owner, and Dave said NO. The owner just happened to be there and just laughed at the situation. The previous owner, BUCK, would have solved the problem without an issue. That's the Buck I have dealt with in the past, not this guy. Thank god I did not let them replace my engine. I will also go out of my to inform as many people as I can. If they decide to refund my money, I will remove this review. 4/1/25. Thank you for the response. I was expecting something like that. Yes, the codes were obtained from the dealership, and yes, I asked you to install a new y-muffler because the right bank catalytic converter was bad. The leak was coming from the connection on the right side between the manifold and the y-pipe. The seal was not made, resulting in an exhaust leak. How do I know this? Because I had a real mechanic, remove the manifold cover and smoke test it with me there. The leak was as described coming from between the manifold and y-pipe connection. You order the wrong pipe. You ordered for a 2018, not a 2019 Chevy. I even gave you the vin number along with the plate number, and you still screwed it up. The part number from the dealership was for 2019. I explained all this to you. DAVE, you gave me the impression that you had everything under control. People make mistakes, and you made one that costs me $900.00. So, me coming in almost 4 weeks later, making contact with you asking for an update on replacement of the y-pipe, with nothing but excuses after excuses after excuses on your end resulted in me getting very frustrated. I hope you continue to do business like this for customers because the reviews and word of mouth will result in someone getting fired, and your company revenue will drop significantly. So, DAVE, have anything smart you want to say, just asking. It's so refreshing to see that customers are reading this review. Your response to a customer who read your reviews and refused to bring his vehicle to you was interesting. It sounded like, if you're in need of help and you give a bad review, and you're out of luck. BAD BUSINESS. LOL. A refund would. E nice, but I don't think that will happen. Detail is everything in a review.

After reading the reviews I will not be taking my car here!. It's really hard nowadays trying to find an honest mechanic. Based on the reviews for this shop I concluded that most people who left 1 stars, their vehicles were not misdiagnosed, instead the shop was being deceitful I assume to get more money out of these people. I need repairs done to my vehicle and came upon this shop, read the reviews and said Nope!, "You won't swindle me out of money". Be very mindful people who you trust with your vehicles there's some real swindlers out there.

I'm very pleased with the service I received at Bucks. I knew they were there for many years and decided to give them a try when both my car and my wife's car came up for inspection. We had braced ourselves, half expecting a hefty bill, but were pleasantly surprised when the final charge was little more than the stickers themselves. On my car the wipers were worn out, but my wife's car required nothing. They recommended rear sway bars and rotors in the near future and that's it. This is a sharp contrast to the other shops that see yearly inspections as a way to cash in. Needless to say, we will be going back for those maintenance items, it is clear they're not trying to squeeze every dime out of their customers.

Pros: Everyone is nice. They get you in quickly. Prices are reasonable Cons: Mechanics are not skilled beyond using the diagnostic machine to "fix" the issue. Took my car in because it was rough idling, stalling at stops and on take off and had crunchy breaks. They hooked my car up to the machine, said it was the MAP SENSOR, called and told me it was fixed to come pick it up. I arrived, the mechanic came out and said that it wasn't fixed because he changed the map sensor and the check engine light was still on. So they hooked it up to the machine again and diagnosed it as a brake vacuum sensor. They had to order this part from the Chevy dealership. I left my car there overnight, they called me in the morning and told me it was fixed that I could come pick up my car. I arrived just before closing to pick up my car and I pulled out of there with the exact same issues that I pulled in there with. The only difference being, my wallet was a couple hundred dollars lighter. All I kept getting from the Mechanic was "I fixed the issues that popped up on the computer" 🤷 I took it elsewhere. The new mechanic was able to diagnose my car within 5 minutes. Turns out it was the PCV valves which were bad causing all of the issues, including the failed break vacuum pump (causing the crunchy breaks) and the sensors. I think they are probably okay to replace parts in situations where it's OBVIOUS what's wrong with your vehicle but the mechanic didn't seem to be able to think outside the box. Or in this case, the handheld computer. They did offer to bring my car back in and try to diagnose it further free of charge but I just felt like I would end up with the same results. They were all very nice. Unfortunately "nice" doesnt fix your car. I was seriously hoping to be able to come here and give a great review but sadly, this isn't the case.

Took my wife’s car in late on a Friday while she was from out of town and needed to be out of town the next day. Did a great diagnostic and waited for her event to be over, on a Saturday, to make sure you got on her way out of town. Great team and thanks!

I have had my truck serviced at Bucks for many years. They have good mechanics at reasonable prices. They always call you when they find out what's wrong with your vehicle and give you options to repair. Highly recommend Bucks.

I brought my car in because I had a metal plate under my car falling off so I went in asking them to remove it and they said sure! The whole process of removing it took about 2 minutes I was in and out quick. They charged me $50 for the labor because they said that was their minimum charge. The problem isn't the price I understand that is their minimum. I just wish they mentioned that to me on the front end. So I knew what I was going to be charged. $50 is a lot for the amount of time that took and the amount of labor they did.

I’m not a bad shade-tree mechanic, so I can speak with a little sophistication. This place is great. You will NOT get ripped off here. Buck developed a great culture, and the dedication to excellent service continues.

Very good experience with them. They took my car in on a Saturday December 23th and worked for it for a fair amount of time due to a blown up alternator. Honestly they were a life saver. Service was good, friendly, courteous and professional. Would recommend them.

We brought our Toyota Camry in a few weeks ago because for the last few months we’ve heard this awful whirling sound and vibrating, and we were told by Bucks that the front left bearing needed changed. We came back a few days later, and we got that front left bearing changed. Driving it off the lot, it still sounded terrible. In fact, it sounded worse. It was so bad that we drove right back to the garage. We got there, and the guy that had worked on it appeared to think our concern was funny as he laughed it off saying that he’s sure it was the front left and not the right bearing or anything else. He said the worst that could happen is that the tire could lock up. Locking up can lead to accidents…bad accidents. We didn’t think it was laughable, but what could we do at that point…we came back about a week and a half later to get it looked at again. This time another guy was there and he sits down and tells us that the front left bearing “failed.” He was explaining that when it was pressed in, it wasn’t pressed in right, and as a result the bearing failed and the hub was damaged. Then he goes on to getting a quote for a front left hub and a front left bearing…and something about a front right hub which we had no idea about. Anyway, the guy was throwing all kind of discounts at us, and because we actually really like a lot of the people we’ve spoken to there, we were like sure, do whatever you need to do. (However, one would think that because their shop messed up the job in the first place, you would offer to re do the work and fix the damage they caused free of charge) So they order the hub assembly with the bearing and tells us to come back sometime around noon the next day. Next day we try giving them a call and they aren’t sure if the hub assembly has been ordered but it’s the day before Thanksgiving so we were really trying to get it done. After a bit of phone tag, we were told that it would be in around 2, so that’s when we took the vehicle in to get the work done. We show up and the hub assembly came in WITHOUT BEARINGS!!! We end up leaving the shop with a tentative agreement to get the work sometime in the next week. Thanskgiving we spoke with family about our experience and they suggested going elsewhere. we ended up picked up a car rental because we were nervous about our car locking up…the sound was terrible. Luckily Steve Shannon in Bloomsburg was able to fit us in. Lo and behold, there was nothing even wrong with our front left bearing or hub. In fact, the issue was the front RIGHT bearing and the hub was fine. We spoke to the mechanic who worked on the car and he was rather shocked at the incompetence shown by Bucks and had no idea how someone could come to the conclusion that the left bearing and hub were incorrectly installed and were damaged. After replacing the right hand bearing, the car is completely fine now. No sounds or anything and drives like new. It was really something special with what we experienced. I’m happy we got it taken care of because if we would’ve gone back to Bucks garage and got the front left bearing fixed, we’d have been out who knows how much money and time because the issue still would’ve been the front right bearing. Not to mention, that’s precious time your garage would’ve wasted working on an otherwise perfect front left bearing! With having to rent a car and having the wrong bearing installed. We’ve pretty much lost around $900 on a job that ended up costing $220. Their shop not only misdiagnosed the issue, it then tried to add on a heap of other repairs the car didn’t even need. God knows if the left bearing even needed replacing at all. If you do end up taking your vehicle here, get a second opinion if it’s a difficult job. And DO NOT take your vehicle there for wheel bearings under any circumstance!

Buck's was amazing! To summarize- respectful, kind, honest, affordable, great communication, timely. My car over heated on my way home from vacation. I managed to get it to the dealership across the street, but they wouldn't even look at it until they had an appointment 3 weeks out. The receptionist at Buck's was respectful and honest. Buck's picked up my car from the dealership and looked at it immediately. They contacted me every step of the way and never tried to swindle me. There prices were reasonable and fair. The problem ended up being engine failure so I choose to pick up my car and tow it home. They did not give me a hard time about this choice and talked me through the diagnosis so that I would know what needed to be done when I got home. They also took the time to help me load my car unto a U-Haul tow dolly. I wish I lived in PA because they are the best auto shop I've ever been too!

Buck will always be dear to my heart and I always appreciated his honest service. My experience with the new owners has been excellent and based upon my recent experience I can see they are honest and forthright just like Buck was. Best of luck in taking over this business.

worst towing company I have ever dealt with, they charge so much money for me when I got in an accident and used my weakness at the time of the accident to over charge me. and when I asked for a reciept they keep delaying my request and hang up on me. don't ever use this company, I have warned you!

We rented a van to take 12 people to Indiana for a wedding. To make a long story short. We broke down 2 hrs from our destination. They went out of their way to help us. Paid for someone to get us to our destination and brought us a replacement van. Our trip was saved! Just a small hiccup but a fun story to tell. This was with the new owners management. So A++

Towed my vehicle and looked it at it as fast ad they could considering it was the end of the month inspection time. Until I had the money I needed to pick it, I was allowed to let it sit. Unfortunately they didnt call me when it was finished but that was ok (took a while to come up with the money I needed) and they had my door guard popped off.

Just moved my son to Lewisburg and towed a large trailer across the country full of his belongings to his new home here. With 100k miles on my car and never having replaced the breaks, the trailer tow put the breaks to a test and now they needed replacement. Bucks Service Station is whom we returned the U-Haul trailer to and the staff was very friendly. So after a few days in Lewisburg when I noticed my brakes began to grind, I called Bucks and asked if they could service my brakes. 3 hours later I was driving around with new brakes and no grinding. When my wife and I drove home, we had the peace of mind knowing the car would drive safely. Thank you, Bucks for top notch service. I may not be a customer again - because I live in Florida - but my son and his wife will be and my son has already had you do.his first service in Lewisburg because how well you treated us. Thank you, once again.

Fast and great customer service! I broke down in a rental vehicle on my way home from NY to VA so the company sent a wrecker through AAA. I was told it would be about an hour wait but within minutes the gentleman called and said he was right up the road and would be there in a few minutes. He hooked the car up and we were on the way within 5 mins! There happened to be a winter weather advisory that night and on top of it he had to drive me over an hour away to get a new vehicle but did it with not the slightest bit of care and was very courteous. He was even considerate enough to ask if I had eaten and when I said no he said to just let him know if I wanted to stop somewhere. I only met this one person from that business but based on that I would say this is an amazing place with great, genuine, considerate and knowledgeable people! You don't find many businesses like this anymore! Thank you for coming to my rescue and making a tough situation easier.

While Driving from Long Island to lewisburg my car developed a scary noise and wobble. I took it in to Bucks on Saturday morning hoping they could fix it up for me to leave that afternoon. Mission accomplished. Loose lug nuts. Fast, courteous and, most of all, honest. Highest possible recommendation from me

Bucks provides great service at a fair price. I appreciate that they will give you a ride if you drop your car off. He will also look for parts on used vehicles to defer the cost of ordering new parts. Hours are also great.
