Got taken from purchasing car from there auction. I know they are sold as is, however the car I bought should have gone directly to junk yard. Was totally rusted out underneath, needed transmission, was welded together. Learned my lesson. Never buy from auction again unless you can actually drive the vehicle around and look closely underneath.

Don’t come here I came here with my neighbors and I always bought cars even if they were lemons I bought over 10 cars I had my membership taken since my neighbors who come with me bought a van and didn’t buy it after bidding on it which is wrong but the van was a very bad van the dealer who bought it there took the engine light off and temporarily fixed it engine started ticking and smoking I tried talking to the auction owner which is a older lady and she didint care which I understand since they did bid on it and it’s red light so no warranty my neighbors membership was taken away but then I came the next auction and they told me to never come back and they are taking my membership I told them that I have my own and I bought many cars that they are confused and they did not care there very rude and unprofessional

This place is disgusting me and my family came here and bought a car we like it and bought it had a green light so we had a hour to refund it if we found something wrong we drove it around the lot and the beignets light came on and the engine started knocking I told them and told me they can’t refund it and I explained to them it had a green light and then engine was bad which they did not care and told me if I don’t buy it they will take my membership away I couldn’t even drive the car back so I had no choice but to leave it then the owner which is a elderly lady and her husband both told me and my family to leave and not come back and to go back and her husband told me that I was a criminal because I was black and I don’t belong there and brought up my race which had nothing to do with anything racist people and bad cars

Pretty much was forced to buy a car I asked to look at it in person befor I bout it bc I had only saw it for a min and didn't fully know if anything was up with it (the man at the auction seat looked me in the face and said yes) they made me pay 500 for a deposit and after I looked at it for 5 mins I didn't need to buy it bc I had found another I wanted to buy I went in to ask for my money back they tell me I can't get it back bc the car was already purchased by me doesn't make since I came in with 1500 and left with -300 on top of that it was saved up money I got from my job I was forced to leave didn't even get half way down the road befor the tags they gave me got me pulled over and they towed the car I should sue for fraud

Fun experience and great deals. Beauregard to arrive early and check out the cars before bidding. Avoid C Lane.

Cathy on Tues Sept 13 and Leeann on Wed Sept 14 made me feel so welcome because it was my second time there and first time as a bidder and I won.

This is a fun place to watch auctioneering for hours and sometimes find good deals. People giving low ratings for buying junk cars should realize that the auctionhouse is simply a consignment auction for dealers to discard their junk/cheap cars.

Uncle bought a 2004 Ford 150 at auction for 4000, drove it for about 7 years before he sold it, some deals there are good, others aren’t, just gotta look at them close

I purchased 3 cars from this facility in the last 10 years. Great cars but you must do your homework. Check the website, have a plan, and bid wisely.

Went to look at a Cadillac. Wouldn't start, so a couple young fellas jumped it off and got it running. My son wants it for a parts car. They want to sell it as a driver. We'll see what happens....

I won a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that made it the whole 90 mile trip home. Yes I did get a flat tire on my way to 81 South but I was glad to find a full size spare and the jack was even there. Thanks again for all of the helpful people inside and out. It was my first time with a lot of questions.

Membership is 60 Dollars to bid at the Auction. This membership is good for one year. There are buyers fees for purchasing a vehicle. They are clearly posted when registering. Do your homework on current pricing of vehicles you may be interested in. I purchased a truck for far cheaper than any respectable dealer. That was including the buyers premium. I put the required deposit of $400.00 and paid the balance the next day. They're a full service Auction House. I had everything done there, tags, registration, and title transfer. You need your insurance card. Pretty fast service. Had over 800 vehicles there selling as cheep as $250.00 to the highest I had seen sell for $13,500.00. My advice is take someone who knows cars. I took my Mechanic to insure a good vehicle. They take Cash and Debit Cards. Make Arrangements with your bank to clear your debit card for a large purchase. They run 4 to 5 lanes at a time. Stay on your toes so you don't miss your vehicle. Go early to check out the vehicles. They open at noon and the Auction starts at 5 pm. If you don't find what you're looking for, your membership is good for a year.

This is all one big show. Most of the cars that are there have something wrong. Also, they have people that work there bidding against you to run up the bid. You can get the highest bid and still not get the car because they will say they have a minimum (stupid). Buyer beware.

This auction is one big show. They have people that work for the auction bidding against you to run up the bids. Even if you get the highest bid if they feel like they need more for the car they wont let it go. Beware of the hidden fees. Most of the cars have something wrong. Buyer Beware.

Its definitely an exciting experience. Get there early to browse through the cars and circle the ones that you're interested in on the sheet. You don't have time to checl out cars as they cross the blocks. They run 5 lanes and about 400-500 cars a week. Its a lot of fun. Buyer beware!

Never knee much about this place but have always heard about it, living in the tri-state area my whole life, and been really interested in seeing what it's all about... & it really is pretty cool and a great place to get a good, cheap car for very little money down!

Disaster. It's cool if you wanna buy a car but don't be a private seller. They let all the dealers go through the lanes TWICE!! Before other cars are seen. And our car number was F50.

I have been coming to mason dixon since i was able to actually come inside the gate! I was 15 my first time. 28 years later still can't get enough! I am just a public buyer. I buy all my family vehicles here. This is a favorite past time of my dad's. Hopefully he can get back out there soon.

DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THE CARS BEFORE YOU GO- The list of vehicles is available on their website a week before, of "clean cars" you want. GO EARLY AND HAVE A LIST TO LOOK AT AND DRIVE - Drive every car, beat on it, do sharp turns. if you cant find something wrong you're not looking hard enough ONLY BUY "GREEN LIGHT" VEHICLES not green and yellow, not green and red, the light on the monitor should shoe ONLY GREEN STICK TO YOUR LIST- you may think there is a great deal in front of you, gamble if you want to, no seriously don't gamble stick to your list USE YOUR ONE HOUR- after buying a GREEN LIGHT car you have one hour to inspect with one of the mechanic USE IT TAKE YOUR FEES OUT OF BUDGET- depends on sold value There will be 5 or so "lanes" of vehicles being auctioned at one time you may have to run around but stick to your list. Don't panic.

I went to look for a cheap used car and boy did I come to the right place! This place is a huge rip off!! The cars are there for a reason and the reason is something is wrong with them. The auction is so fast paced and I'm sure this is on purpose so you don't know what is going on. Approached some staff members to ask some questions and two of them litterely ignored me. They go around and squirt armor all on them to make them look nice right before they go for auction. Majority of all the cars have super high miles on them and if you do purchase plan on dumping more money in them. If you buy one under $1500.00 and you drive it off the propertyand it pops it cookies you're out too bad. Bottom line is yes you may get a car at a cheap price but the odds of nothing being wrong or seriously wrong is slim. BUYER BEWARE!!

Great experience! First buying, we had hundreds of cars to choose from with ample time and opportunity to start and inspect all. The bidding started promptly at 5:00 pm with the focus on one lane then progressed to six lanes and six auctioneers keeping everything moving and providing much information on the auto currently on the block via big screen TV's. Six lanes made it impossible for anyone or even small groups to monopolize the auction giving everyone an equal opportunity with equal chance. Had an even better experience selling our car at Mason Dixon Auto Auction, seems to be a well thought out process yet the controlled complexity provides an exciting atmosphere. Plenty of people willing to assist navigating the system, with informative brochures, video instruction plays on T.V.'s if you need to stand in line for any of their many services along with many bi-lingual employees and signage to lessen any confusion . And most important to me ...I can not say enough about their outstanding customer service from custodians, enrollment counter, purchasing department, all the auctioneers (except one we found to be offensive) other than that it was on par with WalMart! LOL. I'm sayin' 9.5 out of 10. They seem to have a hundred employees buzzing around preforming duties. And a special mention to Wayne, who who made this an experience that my family is truly grateful for and a character that prompted this very comment. Thank You All and see you soon! J.S.

Over priced fees. Bought a car their that was sold to me under the their green light policy meaning everything is ok with the car. after going outside to inspect the car that i bought i noticed it was overheating and the car needed work. I went back to the arbitration office to have this resolved and get my $600 deposit they went through every loop hole they could to no to give me back my deposit. What a total scam this place was. after paying for the whole car and fees title work all that stuff i got stuck with a lemon that i had to have towed home and put more money into to get it fixed. I recommend just going to a different auction. This auction is garbage.

Mason Dixon is always on Top of their Inventory, and they take care of their customers. I have been to other auctions that dull in comparison to Mason Dixon's comittment to their Buyers. Ignore the bad reviews; People don't know what they're talking about. They should see how "terrible" it is at that other auction that starts with an M...
