They’re always friendly help you with your recycled material. I believe they’re honest people I’ve been taking my scrap there for several years would never go anywhere else.
Hate to say it, but we find them DISHONEST. First time we took aluminum cans, it did not seem like they paid enough + weight seems less, so from then on, I weighed them at home, marked my bags.
Next time, once at Cher o kee, I (wife) kept track of my bags and jotted down weights, (they immediately dump cans in processing bin, toss bags aside). Of 140 pounds of cans, man claimed I had 95!! I protested, pointed to my marked bags on the floor, and my accounting, and demanded to see HIS notes--he only marked some, illegibly scribbled others. I showed him my marked garbage bags and he had to pay because, bag by bag, I proved I was right. I had to fight for what was honestly mine!!!!
Unfortunately, I didn't go last week--husband took there for "best price"--I told him WATCH them in case that shifty man still worked there. Apparently, it must be Cher o kee's overall policy!
We had 130 weighed pounds--worked hard to collect these! The guy tossed on scale, dumped cans, came up, again, over 30 pounds less. They did it AGAIN! Husband asked about calibration of the scale. The man had him get on scale to prove scale was correct (it was)--BUT the scam is the man writing down the weight of each bag---same scenario I went through, but I proved which bags were my marked bags and my accounting/weight of each bag. My husband did not want to make a fuss with young grandson there.
You fooled us for the last time, CHER O KEE. Hopefully, this review will warn others to AVOID CHER O KEE ----ALWAYS weigh and mark your bags and find an honest scrapper. Shame on CHER O KEE!
