Fisherman's Paradise in
Bellefonte (PA)

Very nice stretch of water. Well maintained and nice amenities (restrooms and picnic area). I was there to fish on a weekday morning and there were several fishermen there. I imagine it could be crowded on a weekend.

Nice walk along valley next to creek. Fly fishing only unfortunately

Worst place for recreational fishing, you have to be very pro here. We spend whole day and didn’t see any fish ?

Although I'm personally not into fishing, I can tell this is a great spot. I love riding my bike here. The trail is varied enough to keep my attention, but it's not overly difficult. Hard to beat the views and the fresh air.

DEER TICK DISEASE Hot Spot. Avoid FP at all costs. See DEP bulletin from March 8, 2022. 80% of the ticks here have DT virus! Remainder of state is less than one percent infection rate. Very bad tick born disease, way worse than Lyme's.

Great trails! Our whole family enjoys walking the trails.

Beautiful location but the continous gunfire from the nearby outdoor law enforcement training range wasn't so peaceful. Either fish early or go on weekends.

I feel completely at peace walking through this gorge. What a great place, steeped in history, and flowing with beauty. Hopefully we can protect and preserve the upstream areas and aquifers that feed it.

Its beautiful here, title is pretty self explanatory. Many, many nice spots to fish along the stream for as far as you can walk. ...paths beaten down & brush trimmed nicely.

Avoid this place. I decided to go for a walk here on a nice day and was harassed by a local good ol' boy cop for literally doing nothing. Beautiful place ruined by power hungry jerks who harass law abiding citizens for no reason.

Grounds well maintained but poorly serviced portopotties and trashcans.

Nice, quiet place to walk along the creek. It has a fairly good path. Good award winning trout fishing that will need to go back if you catch one.

Beautiful place and top rate trout fishing!

This is one of my kid's favorite places to hike and explore. Being flat makes it a great family hike with little ones.

Lovely trail by the stream, with some cliffs. Hiking, jogging, bicycling, and fishing along a babbling brook.

Spring creek is a nymph fisherman's dream. Plenty of parking at fisherman's paradise that provides good access upstream via a well maintained trail. Several picnic tables for a middle of the day snack to take a break from fishing or to organize tackle. Very pressured fish in the paradise area though so not great fishing here unless you walk up creek a bit.

Nice grass area to cast. Quiet and easy to fly fish.lots of osprey and eagles.

Great family friendly trail with good parking and lots for the little ones to check out.

Plenty of parking, a nice wide open area for fishing and other recreation, and a week maintained trail creekside for spring creek canyon exploration.

Such a beautiful little spot surprisingly close to State College. It is a great access point to the greater Spring Creek Canyon.

Not a fisherman, but I love Fisherman's Paradise. The trail along Spring Creek is beautiful, level, well maintained, and blissfully cooler during hot summer months. Great for fitness walking/running/biking.
