They are honest and fair with there price and for them to fix the absolute disaster of a job that Dunks garage done with my truck and the transmission that littery fell out and apart on me with in 4 hours of Dunks garage doing the same job that I'm having shrefflers redo for me. One thing I'll say is never go to Dunks garage Always Always go to shrefflers garage because they will get the job done right the first time around for you garrenteed !!!
I dropped my old diesel off and called to check up and realized I put the entire wrong month on my form, o needed the truck in two days and they were awesome and rushed me through and got it done. I was so thankful they fixed my mistake. Also clearly very knowledgeable about transmissions and knew exactly what was wrong just by driving it for a few seconds.
Dropped my car off weeks ago at this garage to get transmission work done. After two weeks I tried calling to see progress, and nobody will answer the phones and sometimes the phone doesn't ring at all. Nearly a month now. I'm going to have to drive 45 mins just to see if it's even done yet.
Called to inquire about pricing for a transmission on my Subaru and the guy was very rude. He stated that he doesn't touch them and it would cost me $8,000 dollars. This business states that they replace TRANSMISSIONS. Not sure why they can't accommodate a potential customer who is willing to spend money and drives a car half of the Centre County population drives. Will not recommend this place to anyone. I would rather spend the "$8,000" than deal with a shop that can't be professional.
This man knows his business. It don't matter what kind of transmission or the problems it has ; Mr. Shreffler will get it repaired in a timely matter. Awesome job on my Suburban 6 speed. Big thanks to you and your crew. Keep up the outstanding performance.
I was recommended to call this shop to get a small issue resolved with my truck. The owner said he could have my truck in the shop on November 7th, when December 19th rolled around I was tired of waiting and calling and getting the same answer of “I will get it in the shop shortly” every time I would call. If you want your vehicle fixed in a timely manner DO NOT go here. I got my truck towed to a different shop who fixed my truck in less than 2 hours.
Had a clicking noise when changing gears and Bill took a look at it. Immediately understood what was happening and did not give me anything but a positive experience. Would 100% recommend and will be back next time there is an issue. Note that he can diagnose issues with things other than transmissions, but he is an expert and focuses on transmissions only. Recommended by a nearby shop who is also trustworthy. This is one of those rare honest mechanics I hear about.
The only downside was they forgot to call me but I am out of town during the week so it was no inconvenience! Just know to give them a ring if you need to pick up your vehicle right away! I just took my truck 10k miles with a 5th wheel and was concerned about some build up in the transmission fluid. They flushed and refilled my fluids and it feels better already! Cheap, polite and fast! Highly recommend over AAMCO or other chains.
Bill rebuild the transmission on my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton. The truck shifts better than when it was new. The price was fair and the speed he got it done was amazing. He diagnose the problem a day after it was dropped and had it fixed in a few days. Don’t take a Gamble on buying a junkyard transmission. Bill will fix it right the first time.
Had some transmissions problems in my VW back in 2012. Took it to Shrefflers, they bolted up a brand new tranny for a reasonable price (considering it's a Volkswagen) within a week. 10k since it has been put in and everything is perfect. Bill is real friendly and when I came by to pick it up, he went over and actually showed me what was wrong with my old transmission. Highly recommended. It's a small place but they do really good work!
