Skip Car Toys and come here instead. Sonic Audio is the best car stereo installer on the Westside (and probably the Portland metro area). Steven and Nicole are highly knowledgeable, very friendly, and eminently honest. They don't have a retail showroom, but that's actually a good thing. Unlike most other shops, Sonic Audio doesn't play the upsell game. Just give them a call, explain what you want, and they will work with you to build, quote, and install a tailored solution that meets your needs and budget. I worked with Sonic Audio to upgrade my 2013 Subaru Impreza's sound system in stages. They offered really helpful advice in support of my harebrained efforts (my words, not theirs 😅) to install new speakers myself. They quoted me a very fair price and did an outstanding job installing a Kenwood head unit and Infinity powered subwoofer that I bought elsewhere. I also just bought and had installed an Alpine KTA-450 4-channel amplifier through Sonic with excellent results. One important note: Sonic Audio's pricing is reasonable, but don't expect screaming bargains on components. They don't sell cheap stuff because you won't get good sound by cutting corners. Also, it's worth paying for the expertise and skills of a seasoned pro like Steven to help you pick the right gear for your needs and ensure all the install work is done correctly.

Went far and beyond to help dial in my system on a my old 94 Cummins in no time. My door was even a little loose and he took time out of his way to drill some screws to keep door plastic from flapping all over the place. Very cool people would recommend to any family or friends who wants to get their sound on point.

I had a great first impression with Steven regarding the installation of a new stereo back up cam and remote start in my truck. He explained the process for getting a quote via email and responded promptly with questions to build my estimate and I received it the same day requested I ultimately agreed to the estimate and paid in full while schedule install within a week. After paying and scheduling I received a follow up email advising that there was a part and little labor missed in the initial estimate and to please accept and pay for additional amount. When I received the updated invoice the cost was increased by 50% of the original bid and when I mentioned that was a very large increase he asked if I would still do part of the work for what was paid. When I declined he advised he would be charging me a transaction fee for not moving forward and refund me less the fee when I questioned that he didn’t even respond to my concern with being charged for something that was his mistake and I rightfully didn’t just accept. I have since been advised they will not do further business with me(As if I would want to return) and blamed me for this situation. Be very careful when dealing with this company as surprise charges may come up after you accept the bid!

Just had some work done on my car at Sonic Audio and I’m highly impressed. Steven was super helpful, and walked me through all my options without any pressure and made sure everything turned out exactly how I wanted. The quality of the work is top-notch and my car sounds amazing. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. Steven installed tow mirrors that added some features from my factory mirrors as well as a rear DVD system. He was more than willing to let me bring in my own parts as I was looking for something very specific. His turnaround was great and his prices were reasonable. I have a new 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 that needed some more bass to the sound system. I also wanted to support a local company and I randomly found Sonic Audio on Google Maps. Swung into their shop one day to discuss my needs and Steven was very helpful. Quickly after chatting with Steven, I knew he was who I wanted to do my project. He was about a month out before I could get on his schedule, but that told me he was in high demand. Got my truck back today and I am very pleased. Exactly what my sound system needed and I’m already thinking of other projects for him.

I originally had an amplifier and new speakers installed in my Honda Fit back in Georgia, so when I went to Steven to see about adding a subwoofer and DSP to my setup, I was worried that could be a problem... but he handled everything fantastically. He integrated the new pieces with the old work and the result sounds (and looks) incredible. Even when I had a problem with the parasitic drain because my car battery is tiny, he helped to find and fix the problem at no additional charge. All in all a fantastic experience and I'd recommend them to anyone!

We needed to replace the speakers in our car, and get the stereo properly hooked up (the previous owner did their own wiring, and it was messed up). Steven was friendly, great at offering options, and up front with pricing. The car sounds so much better! Would recommend going there for any of your audio needs.

Outstanding! We just had audio work done on two of our vehicles, one also with a Car Play and a back up camera. We are delighted with the results of their work. Steve, Jen, Josh, and Brandon are all great people here at Sonic audio! Best car audio shop in Oregon hands down. I've been coming here for almost a year now and have had nothing but love and genuine service from them all. They did wired my Tahoe up for 4 2/0 runs from my singer 390 alt all the way to the back and have it looking clean! I will finally be playing my 20k watt system next week at Sonic on 6/6/20 come to the shop and get your gear here and possibly a demo. Best guys Ive ever met. Sonic Audio For the win!!!! Steven is the only person I trust to work on my audio system and having used his services since he was running his business mobile I can't tell you how many positive experiences Ive had. Absolutely wonderful staff, that were incredibly helpful and insightful to what I was looking to get done. Steven, the owner is a no frills, straight forward guy. His wife Jenn, is an absolute delight to speak to, and dont even get me started about the ball of fluff that is Tsula The Service Dog! All the installers were super courteous as well. Outstanding! Steven and his team have completed both small and large projects for me from a simple fog light install or stereo deck install to a complete $4000 audio system upgrade with alarm and back up camera. Every time the craftsmanship, product knowledge, attention to detail, and customer service have been amazing! The prices and products are always reasonable and they are just nice people who stand behind their work. This place has great technicians and reasonable prices. They take extra care to do things the right way and they have great service. I was 100% happy with my custom box build install and custom license plate. I would absolutely go here and recommend them.

I am by no means a “car audio guy”. I needed a back up camera for my F350 so I did a quick Google search on my phone to find a car audio place near Sherwood. I could not be more happy with the service and cost of installing a new back up camera in my truck. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give Sonic Audio a 10. Very customer centric and zero pressure when it comes to deciding on which componenets will work best for you and your vehicle.
