What clients say about Beverly Beach State Park in Newport (OR)

Great campground to really feel the seclusion of camping without being too far out. Nice and dark. The woods make it feel secure and separate from your neighbors. Relatively flat. Beach access is adequate and you can see the ocean from many paces in the campground. The access is a bit challenging with little kids - bring a backpack for the things, not a shoulder bag. Extra parking is far from most of the loops. Friendly and hospitable staff and volunteers.

Flushing toilets. Campsites and yurts available. Short walk to the beach

We rented the yurt meeting hall for a family event. Parking is close to the hall. Bathrooms are close by as well. Easy access to the beach from where the yurt is. The yurt itself had heaters, electric, a sink, kitchen counter top area and 4 burner glass stove top. There is a audio/visual cart with a tv to hook into and a projector screen available along with many tables and chairs. It was a great place to hang out in on a very stormy day.

Beautiful campground. Great family activities there and nearby. A rentable yurt in the day use area for special occasions or gatherings.

I will always camp here! It’s so well kept and the staff is great. Firewood and other items are fairly cheap too. I got wood for $7 and a fire starter for $1. It does fill up quick and the site itself is a little pricy, but worth it. Make sure to schedule day of so you aren’t charged an extra $10.

We had a wonderful two night stay here with a clean campsite close to the beach access. Restrooms and water were close (we were in a tent site) as well as very clean (restrooms). A hot shower was delightful each morning and a warm campfire at night. The campground is very quiet with minimal highway noise if you're in loops A or B. But you also get to hear the crashing of the waves from those two loops. Staff was friendly and check-in was a breeze.

It's one of the good state parks that has a year it's in it's well hidden in the trees. The only downside is that the cell service is very limited unless you go on the other side of the bridge

Beautiful park! Multiple site choices, RV sites, tent sites, yurts, group sites and surrounding nature trail. Easy walking beach access. Handicap sites.

This is a beautiful state park. We camp here yearly, but it also has a day use area with a parking lot, flush toilets, and garbage cans. Highly recommend this park for families, or for anyone traveling the Oregon coast. It’s really a gem. If you’re camping, please check out the hiking trail. You will not be disappointed.

Beverly Beach State Park is one of our favorite places to camp! The Oregon coast is blessed with numerous state park campgrounds that make amazing family memories!

Beautiful, easy beach access with large bathrooms. Dogs/pets allowed. Picnic areas and tables. For the campground, depends if it’s “full” or not if it’s going to be quiet or loud. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 7 am. We were in our tents by 10:30 and it was excessively noisy until close to 11:30. Then it was peaceful. Until campers showed up at midnight right next to our site. They had to set up their tent, giggling and talking loudly, constantly opening and shutting their vehicles doors until 1:30 am. None of us slept more than an hour the one night we stayed. The camp itself is nice. They have a “welcome” station at the front which provides bundles of wood (as of Aug ‘25) for $7 and kindling (we brought our own). Also sale bags of ice for $7. Fred Meyer’s ice was $6, buy 1 get 1 so we did that. WalMart also sales bundles of wood. Again as of Aug ‘25 a bundle there was $8. Freddy’s was sold out so not sure price. Campground provides dump station for RV’s, also recycling and garbage bins. They sale newspapers, not sure which ones. And also a few “merch” items. They DON’T sale camp essentials like plastic silverware, paper plates, etc. We’ve had family camp here for nearly 30 years and despite some set backs (noisy campers here and there) the park itself and beach access are very nice.

Nice beach with easy access. Wheelchair access to the beach was a nice plus , it doesn't go to the water but gives those using it a nice view. There is also a water station for washing off the sand

Camped on the south side of the D loop. It was a beautiful spot. Our only complaint was how shady and cold it was. The campground is very popular and depending on where you are the road is busy with vehicles and E-bikes. Ice and bundles of wood are $7.00. Staff was very friendly. We would definitely camp here again.

I've loved Beverly Beach since I was a kid. This trip didn't disappoint. Fog was strong, but we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. We were able to find a spot on the beach and spend a couple of hours letting our pup run around and discover the water. Highly recommend

I'll do this review in two parts. First part is for the state park side. There is ample parking at the park entrance and the restrooms are right beside the parking. Very easy beach access. You can easily walk to the beach in about three minutes from the time you park until the time that you touch sand. For the campground. Wow - there are a TON of camping sites. They really packed them in here. Located at the front is the check-in desk, trash & recycling, and a welcome center. At the welcome center, the staff are incredibly friendly and they sell firewood and ice during their business hours. If you camp in the spots near the park entrance, you will be blown away...literally. The wind is super strong right off the ocean. You will get a view of the ocean but you might freeze in a tent. The other camping spots are locate back away from the road and won't have a view. We reserved a spot, all the way at the very east back end of the campground. This meant that we had a short drive in past all of the other campsites. The road is paved but is narrow and had many bumps and potholes. It might be a tight fit for big trucks and big rigs. The yurt that we stayed in definitely could fit 5 people comfortably. It came with a small table with two chairs, a bunch bed with a queen on bottom and twin/full on top, plus an additional queen futon. The mattress is VERY firm and you will need you own linens and bedding. Highly recommend bringing a comforter to put under your sheets because the bed stays very cold. There is only ONE outlet in the entire place and one cadet heater. There was mold growing on the interior of the fabric of the yurt itself. So, this is not ideal for those with allergies, immune compromised, etc. The spot did have electricity, a fire pit, a water spigot, and a picnic table. However, there was literally nothing separating us from the campsite right next to us and we literally shared each meal with the strangers next to us. Why there is not bushes in between the campgrounds is shocking to me. The campsites are so on top of one another that you can hear what your neighbors are saying at a whisper, verbatim. It is very heavily wooded inside and is quite dark most of the time. The sun will come through in spots throughout the day. There is also an animal issue here so you cannot leave your coolers out or the raccoons etc. will get inside of them. The restrooms were well stocked and plenty. There were also plenty of showers. The showers have low heads and will not be ideal for those over 5'9". Overall is a pretty nice place to camp, but I would want to book all of the sites around mine next time to have some semblance of peace and privacy. Great access to so many beach and activities. Less than 10 minutes away from Walmart and shopping in Newport.

Beautiful place along the Oregon coast with a lovely nature trail where there’s countless examples of trees defying gravity. The beach is lovely but like all of the Oregon coast is usually windy.

Quite people-y and lots of small children everywhere so I wouldn't recommend this camp if you're looking for a more secluded or nature feel to your trip. Short walk to the beach, depending on what loop you're on but never more than about a 15 minute stroll through camp. Clean restrooms and sites with free shower access. Verizon did not have service but AT&T did. Verizon did once we got closer to the beach, however. Close to stores and downtown Newport if you forgot something or want a bite to eat that's not camp food. Helpful staff and lots of hosts, it seemed as though they were on every corner!

Our trip to Beverly Beach State Park was such a nice time! It was cloudy, and windy, with a little mist, so there weren’t that many people. I love the beautiful bridge as you enter the beach! The beach was clean, well maintained. We enjoyed the rock formations, and little waterfalls!

This is a very busy and popular state park located halfway between Depoe Bay and Newport along Spencer Creek on hwy 101. This park recently reopened in August 2024 after an almost year long construction project upgrading water and power as well as site pad improvements in some sites. Full service sites are only available on the main road in C, D, E and F loops which does make it noisy with all the traffic in and out. There is a single dump station at the entrance to the campground. There are also numerous yurts and tent sites in some loops that get you off the main road. There is also a playground for the younger kiddos that was quite popular. There is also a very scenic and fairly level trail around the campground and along Spencer Creek. It is a short walk to the beach and with low tide lots of beach to walk on, have picnics or fly kites. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. They're numerous locations to visit nearby like Depoe Bay which has the world's smallest harbour, Devils Punch Bowl, sites in the Newport waterfront and a lighthouse. Don't forget the great seafood.

Been here a couple times with the family staying in a yurt. We love this campground! Easy access to the beach, plus a bonus nature path that circles the campground. Beautiful area!

So me and my mom and my friend went here yesterday and it was gorgeous. The one gripe I have is the reason I knocked a star off the review. This location is one that comes up when I search for accessible beaches, and it's not very accessible at all. My mom has mobility issues. She uses a rollator/walker. So I was searching up beaches that had easy access and paths friendly to those with ambulatory issues. This place came up and had a whole message about how they pride themselves on their accessibility with all the mats they put out so there's a path for people with mobility devices. This is an hour away from the beaches I had originally thought of going to. But I was like, no, I want it to be easy for her to get to the water. As easy as possible anyways. Well we take the extra long drive to get there. And it was little confusing to find the beach access, but the lady in the visitor center was very nice and informative and showed me how to get to the beach parking etc. We get over there and get all our stuff out and ready and head to the waterfront. And there was a nice trail, that led to a small hill, which had a mat path on it. I was like, yay this is what I drove all this way for. Well, we get to the crest and look down and for one thing it was rather steep. Which isn't ideal, but it was doable. But then, the path ends hundreds of feet from the water.... There was quite the stretch to get up to the waves and I ended up having to carry the walker (cause good luck rolling that through the sand) and my mom slowly but surely was able to cling to me and make her way to the water. Where she was able to get her feet in the water and all was well enough. We did really enjoy ourselves thankfully. But then we had to head back and it was difficult to say the least after the trek down wore us both out a bit. Eventually we made our way back up and there was all sorts of sharp stuff in the mats which ended up hurting my mom's feet. Thankfully it didn't seem to break skin... But still. The experience would have been a lot better if it was closer to the way it's described. They say there are hundreds of feet of these mats laid out to make it soooo accessible. And it's just this little stretch long enough to get down the steep portion of the path and that's it. I was disappointed with that. However, the beach was very pretty. The weather was nice. There weren't too many people. And overall it was a good day. So I'll give it a solid 4 stars because as a normal location it seems lovely. But for the claims of being all accessible... Not so much.

Beverly Beach State Park is an easy access point beach with a fairly large parkinglot and camp ground right on the "other side" of the 101. Walk under the bridge and you'll be right on the beach. They had accessibility ramps out too into the beach which was amazing, and the location was beautiful. There's lots of fossils and cool shapes etc in the rocks so definitely keep your eyes peeled if you want to stay high and away from the water, or make your way down and walk the waters edge. We found a few cool fossils and a neat little shell. This beach does get really busy so be forwarned that if you are wanting quiet time to either keep walking, or go out early and drink your coffee while walking the beach! The waters surprisingly warm here as well. Very enjoyable (more popular) beach!

Wonderful location to beach access. Stayed in Yurt A12 in loop A. Large campground. Appeared that many sites had room for larger vehicles/campers/rvs. Some roads through the back half of the campground are in a bit of disrepair. Also worth noting… A loop is situated in very close proximity to Highway 101 and you will hear traffic noise day and night. Also very popular due to its location and view of the ocean. If you are looking for a more “secluded” site I would suggest taking something in the D loop and beyond. Nice walking trails through the park. Some sites back up to the river. Restroom and shower facilities available to campers. Overall a great place to spend the day or night. Facilities and shelters show appropriate signs of just how much use this campground gets.

This review is focused on beach access from the day use area at Beverly Beach. The access is quite good, with a bit of looking required to find an access point from the paved trail to the beach. There is some driftwood to go through before finding open Beach area. During this trip, some of the clam burgers (fossils) could be found. There are clean restrooms available and a nice picnic area with several tables. There is plenty of parking as well. The highway does go past the day use area, resulting in some road noise.

Beverly was a beautiful beach to rock hunt on. The park there is pretty, with camping, a parking lot and restrooms. One note is that Beverly isn't easy to navigate when the tide is really high. The water comes almost all the way up to the cliff side, and bigger waves will soak you. You would have to wade through the waves to keep walking south.

We love this beach! After taking our family to a bunch of different spots along the coast, we found this one many years ago and it has become our go-to! I plan most beach photo sessions with my clients here because I love it and there's not usually a million people! The beach is long so you can take long walks and it's relatively accessible since they made some improvements with the ramp to get down there. There are bathrooms close by and spot to wash sand off. There is a picnic area by the parking lot if you don't want to eat on the beach because it can get pretty windy. Walking under the bridge is pretty neat too!

Absolutely love this park! So close to so many things to do! The ability to walk to the beach is the best! Clean, spacious bathrooms and showers nicely spaced camp spots. Our second time here and we will definitely be back!

Camping here was amazing. The walking trail to the beach was so pretty. They had a walking path but there was so much to do and see, that I never got the chance to walk it. Showers were hot! Things were as clean as possible with the sand, mud, rainy weather. Bathrooms were cleaned daily. Things were old and worn in places but the overall cleanliness for a state park and camping things were very clean, spacious and great location. We had a 10" by 12" tent. Several others used multiple tents, hammocks or RV. Water and clean up spots were every five or so campsites. Plenty of parking, camp space and built-in firepits made this a hidden camping gem. 22 miles from Lincoln City and just a few miles outside of Newport made accommodations easy and felt great for a relaxing beach trip.

This park was a beautiful location. The trail that had two bridges and follows the river was a lovely walk. The beach access was nice with the river leading out giving it a unique feature. The RV site we were in was in a very busy part of the loop and was not our favorite because it was often noisy. A lovely place to take a stroll and enjoy the scenery.
