I called for a heavy tow to get one of my drivers unstuck that was blocking 101. Their driver was on a call but they scrambled to find me a another driver and they did promptly. Great guys!!!
Coast Towing went above and beyond for me during a really difficult time. I was in a bad accident four hours away from home, and my car was taken to their lot. Even though they were closed, the owner allowed me to come in on a Sunday so I could retrieve my personal belongings before traveling back home. He arranged a time and had his manager come in to help me. The kindness, understanding, and genuine care they showed meant more than I can say during such a stressful situation. I’m incredibly grateful for their compassion and professionalism and highly recommend Coast Towing.
I was honestly surprised to see Coast towing does not have more reviews. They deserve more recognition. I can genuinely say I will never get a tow from anyone else again. This was the best experience by far in car emergencies I’ve been through. I didn’t know it at the time but my alternator died while I was on the highway. All of my emergency lights came on and my steering wheel locked up and I was just barely able to pull off the highway to the shoulder. Unfortunately my windows were open when it fully shut off and it was approaching night. I attempted to use my towing service and waited over an hour before being told my assigned tow was cancelled and they were trying to find someone else. It was 40 degrees and pitch black at this point. I called coast towing and Rick was immediately concerned about the conditions and the time I’d waited with no help. He recommended going through my service to avoid out of pocket costs and said he could be right over. He went out of his way to talk with my tow service and get them to allow Coast to help (which I had already tried myself and waited another two hours before they finally allowed Coast to come out). As soon as they got the okay they were out to me quickly. I told the driver Mike what happened with the car and he offered to test for a failed alternator; it was. He offered for the shop to repair it to help me avoid additional tow costs the next day. The price for labor and parts was fair and I’m expected to have my car back in 24 hours. He loaded the car up in no time at all which was an extra blessing after being in the cold for so long with no answers from my tow service and he even climbed up to grab some things out of my car I’d forgotten and was so kind through our whole interaction. I am so thankful I happened to call these guys. I will call them every time and just really can’t recommend more compassionate, knowledgeable and efficient people to help you with whatever your tow or repair needs are👍🏻❤️
On Friday Sept 26th i was driving into Newport ( my battery light on been on for awhile) but planned on going to Les Swab when I got to town, but all of a sudden I lost my power steering I had to pull over immediately, it was very scary as there really wasn't a legal ,safe place to park; I called progressive and they were going to send a tow truck driver to me from CORVALIS ?? that's a whole other story; the tow guy from Corvallis called me and I told him I could not stay there for another hour and 45 min he told me to call Rick with Coast towing and I did, he had a guy there within minutes, so impressive !! plus he told me he had a mechanic that could take a look at my Lexus. "Mike" got right on it said I needed a alternator and he said he could do it !! and he did,, he worked late into the evening and then the next day had to get me a new battery; the point is they don't usually do this type of work on the weekend --but he did !He really saved me He was confident, knowledgeable, and through and yes when my retreat was over I drove back to Redmond Or. without any problems.

I crashed my truck coming home late at night last November. I fell asleep about a mile from my home on Highway 34 outside of Waldport. The truck ended up on it's top blocking the highway. The responding deputies called a tow truck for me because my phone was in the truck and couldn't be reached until the truck was back on it's wheels. They asked me if I had a preference as to who towed it and said I have AAA and was told that AAA would be called. Apparently they didn't do as they said, and Coast Towing showed up after a very long wait. Once my truck was back right side up I was able to get my phone and wallet out of the truck. The deputy in charge wrote me tickets for no insurance and no drivers license. I had both but was unable to prove it until I got my wallet from the truck. The deputy took some time fixing his mistake, but I didn't get any tickets. The next morning I called Coast Towing to find out where my truck was because I needed my belongings out of the totaled truck. I was told that it was going to cost $700 to get my things like my tool bag that had my livelihood in it or my rain gear or any of the other things out of it. The $700 wasn't for the cost of the tow or anything other than to get my stuff out of my truck. I had recently moved to the area and was struggling financially so I lost several thousand dollars in tools alone. Not to mention fishing gear, an expensive bicycle and the list goes on and on. The cost to get the truck back was completely out of line. They saw that it had a brand new 7.3 diesel engine in it. I called a week later to find out how much the bill was up to and I was told by the man that answered the phone that it was gone. I asked him what he meant because the law is that it's their responsibility to hold my truck for 30 days giving me the opportunity to buy it back from them for the cost of the tow and storage fees. I can't remember how much they wanted because it was more than the truck was worth when it was running and driving. When I pointed out the law and that it was only one week later the man then informed me that the rules had been changed because of the amount of cars they had stacking up down there at their tow yard. I said bullshit. The owner called me back a few minutes later saying it was at their other lot. I said I needed to take some pics of it for my insurance company and he refused to tell me where this other lot was because he didn't believe that I needed to get pics of it for my insurance company and he hung up. That tells me that they sold my truck or took out my engine. I will be taking Coast Towing to small claims court where I will be asking for the full $10,000 I'm allowed to ask for in small claims court. I'm also considering filing a defamation of character law suit against the company because in December one of my clients truck broke down and she needed to be towed to a shop. The same driver that picked up my truck picked her and her truck up. When he found out where she lived he told her about my truck and myself because I had crashed in front of her house. He told her that I was cited for no license or insurance which I wasn't. It just happens that she is a retired attorney. I also have another client that is a practicing attorney in this county and she's a very good one that is willing to take the case on a contendancy basis. Shame on Coast Towing for being predatory and turning people into victims when they are already in a bad position. I only had liability insurance, and I couldn't get the ditch I ran into to buy me a new truck. I had to buy another truck while I was trying to work without a vehicle in a new area where I wasn't established at all yet. I got hungary a couple of times to put it mildly. Again, shame on Coast Towing.

We stopped at the Newport dump station with our 32' motorhome, on our way back home to Seattle. When we were finished, the RV wouldn't start. So we were in deep...um...trouble, broken down and blocking everyone else from using the facility. Rick from Coast Towing sent a mechanic, and arranged for his big truck to tow us if necessary. He also helped us with the roadside insurance process. Luckily, it turned out to be a fairly simple fix and we were able to drive away less than 30 minutes after calling Coast Towing. Thank you Rick!
Had a great towing experience after I rolled my vehicle and no other company would show Coast Towing did ! The skill and cool head of the driver Michael made the experience so easy! He had my car out in no time and was very thorough in explaining the charges and it was a very fair price considering the complexity of the tow! I would definitely recommend this company, the man who took my call was quick in coordinating the tow and helping me in my time of need!

Had a wonderful experience with Coast Towing! They came to the rescue and were able to extract our vehicle, which was off the road, on a steep hill in a remote location with quick, same-day service. They are a rip off and scammers!!!!!! They want over $1200.00 for my Lexus that got towed and sat on their lot for less than 24 hrs I would not recommend using them for any sort of towing or any other services!!!!!!!!! If I could I'd give them zero stars!!!!!!!!
I got into a terrible accident and called another Tow Crew to come out and was told they couldn't do it for two days! Coast Towing came right out and got my Suburan out. They were helpful, kind, dependable and friendly in a really bad situation. I appreciate them for that. If I'm in a situation where I need a Tow again, I will Definitely call them and I will always recommend them to family, friends and all!

I got a flat on my caravan. My daughter and I could not change it. The guy that came out was so helpful. He took my spare to air it up. He was nice and friendly.
When the "24-hr towing service" provided by my car dealer sent an incompetent driver out with the wrong equipment (then couldn't get someone else out "for a couple of days," my car ended up stuck blocking a driveway. At 6am on Sunday, I called Coast and they had a guy with the proper equipment out to my location in a couple of hours. He had the car loaded and removed from the driveway in just a few minutes. I am so grateful to Coast for their responsive service.
Rick at Coast Towing was the only company from Newport to Eugene that would tow my truck home for me. His driver Dave was professional and did a great job driving in solid ice and packed snow from Newport to Eugene. I highly recommend this company.
Rick and his team were beyond incredible and saved my butt big time. They helped me through some ridiculous hoops my insurance was throwing out, and got to me quickly. Amazing customer service, i cant thank y'all enough. I'll continue supporting this local owned & run company.
We were two women travelling in a rental on vacation when we blew a tire in an area we were completely unfamiliar with having very little cell signal. These guys were super nice and got us back on the road in about an hour's time total. These guys know what they are doing and didn't leave until we started heading up the road. We were super grateful!! They deserve your business!
Very helpful. When my insurance company was useless and left me locked out of my car for 17 hours they sent a truck out to help me before going to do a scheduled pickup.
This company needs to be closed. Osp called this tow company to a accident that involved my truck and they charged 1000.00 for just the tow which was a basic tow within 15 min of Newport and truck was on roadway so there was no special circumstances. They refuse to give my insurance company pictures of the vin and millage. Refuse there service if your in a accident.
The gentleman who helped me over the phone helped was a ton of help. He walked me through the insurance and weekend logistics as well as helped develop a plan to get my truck in a timely fashion. He was also available by phone at all hours of the day which I appreciated while I struggled with limited service.
They had me ride in the car on the back of the tow truck while being actively transported, then tried to charge us $200.00 to go 1.3 miles down the road to the tire shop from where I was parked. Shady operation, illegal, and avoid at all costs.
I came from Portland in a free to move jeep. Free to move is a car share company that uses your phone as a key fob. You rent a vehicle and you can take it anywhere you would like in the US it just has to be brought back to a special zone of downtown Portland when you’re done. The problem is when I got to Newport and decided it couldn’t work for me anymore. I called Free2Move and spoke with their customer service and it took six hours to figure out that they wanted to tow it to Portland. So tow truck came and I thought everything was good to go but we had an ice storm and nobody could make it over the pass. I was stuck and Free2Move wasn’t doing anything about it until Coast towing got involved. Rick ( I believe he is the owner ) went above and beyond by getting me a hotel room for not one night but two nights and has been so helpful in every way possible. I really hope I never have to use coast toe again but if something does happen and I need a tow. I sure know who I’m going to call! Five out of five stars.
DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO TAKE YOUR CAR IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. We have far better tow services locally. This company is predatory and will do anything they can to screw you out of your vehicle. Heard them laughing about a new plastic wrapped truck in the yard. They tried charging me over 1800 for a pretty basic tow in which never once exchanged correct contact information. I have had Rowley's recover a vehicle off the side of a cliff for less than half that. I had to get towed halfway across the state by a different outfit and was charged only 350. This company is well known locally for excessive charges and being deceptive to their customers. I'm not sure how they have so many stars..I have yet to talk to someone locally with a good word to say.
These guys saved us. We sat on 101 for 4 hours. Pulled into beachside state park for 1 1/2 days waiting for aaa to find us a tow for our 20 ft. Trailer.
Had to have trailer towed because a bearing exploded and locked up one wheel. We had a guy named Chuck come out and cut the electric lines but wheel still locked. They had to put it on a trailer to tow it. Took Rick and Jeremy hours to load, travel17 miles and unload. Cannot recommend them enough.
These guys are absolutely wonderful. They went out of their way to help us when we had a breakdown while on vacation. My call was answered right away and thrt were helpful while we figured out the logistics of getting the vehicle home.
