I have used Bottle Drop in Newport, Oregon for years now and without so much as a call, they close my account and try telling me it's because one of my bottles was full of chewing tobacco. NONE of the people in my family use chewing tobacco so that's a lie. When I called to ask questions, I was treated extremely rudely. I DO NOT recommend this facility.

Long line and everyone has huge bags to process. It seems that almost everyone is someone who lives off of the refunds. It’s a bad situation.

Super clean, well lit, nice attendants, 3 out of 4 machines were working (which is better than my local bottle drop, lol)!

Hello my wonderful neighbors and fellow Newport, Oregonians and all of the beautiful families that have decided to come and visit our unique little tourist town, it's your local business reviewer Jenny and today I'm going to give a shout out to the Bottle Drop Redemption Center on Olive Street in Newport, Oregon. I got here tonight at like 4 minutes until closing and there were two girls working Britt and Alisha and not only did they stay for me to be able to print out my bag tags but they even let me turn my bottles into them so that I could get my money tonight! These girls are amazing!! Go bottle drop!!!!!

Marcus is a class act. He takes his position with serious intent and is highly underpaid. His motivation and why he does what he does is highly underappreciated. Thank you Marcus for your works. I acknowledge...

Very clean facility. The machines work very well. To top it off, the staff is super friendly and helpful!

I will say it's convenient to have a place that'll take all the cans & bottles. the tweaker are still prominent, but they're not as bad as they were when you could only g go to safeway or fred meyers.

Very rude employee. He seems new, but it doesn't excuse the way he spoke to me about them not taking the bottles I brought in. Wouldn't be a big deal if he know how to speak to people without a rude tone. I guess it's easier to 86 people who don't take kindly to rude and condescending tones.

It smells a little, and the floor is a little sticky, but you don’t go here for the atmosphere. I had never used a redemption center before but it was extremely easy to understand what to do with very little directions, though a few of my cans and bottle got rejected. Super easy to cash out, didn’t have to talk to a single person which was great! Will definitely be coming back.

I appreciate that the bottle drop has taken precautionary steps to do their best to keep customers safe during the Covid 19 pandemic. There are distancing markers and dividers between the machines. The employees are monitoring and making sure people are following guidelines.

I'm a disabled person who requested assistant with the cans and bottles that were not being accepted by the machine. Jim H. was the employee on duty. He became belligerent and cussed me out. I'd like to see if I can be contacted by management.

Literally every time I come here and drop off more than 1 bag at least 1 goes missing. They always compensate me for it when I go in to inform them but I know at least one of the employees is just adding those bags to their own accounts. I'll have to make sure I only drop off one bag at a time from now on

We have never hit a big crowd here. Fabulous! The workers keep the place SO clean. The machines take cans/bottles faster than you can put them in. Goes very fast and helps a lot keeping the lines short. Hand washing station with real soap and water. Cash machine pays fast! Update on April 15. It's Friday and we were concerned it might be too busy. Nope! Walked right in and freshly washed down containers ready for bags of cans.

Im coming back to update my review. This place is amazing 👏 I can really see the shift in attitude in this last year. The morale here has become incredible! I was there from 2:30 - 2:50 in the afternoon on March 24th. I couldn't believe how happy and helpful everyone is. A couple of employees were just coming on shift and were so excited to be there. I've been seeing this for a while now. I wasn't feeling very happy when i got there however, Darby shifted my mood right away. He's polite & eager to take care of every customer so they leave with a smile. Sounds silly but l almost didn't want to leave😄 The flow between management and the employees is nothing short of remarkable. You can see the respect goes bolth ways. Everyone knows they're place. The employees respect that management has final say and, in turn management shows gratitude too them for they're hard work. They also treat them as equals. Having good management is pertinent to running a business smoothly. You cant go wrong by creating and encouraging a mature environment. This really left an impression on me! 💫💫💫💫💫 5 stars!

Quick and simple go in , put bottles in the machines get paper stub, go to next machine to get money. The workers are very helpful when you have bottles that the machine won't take.. They try and keep the place clean but returning bottles is a dirty sticky business.

Fast and simple. Machines are in great shape (no jamming). My only complaint is their tubs need to be cleaned more often.

I wish we had a Bottle Drop in Lincoln City. It is a drive and we bring in 4-5 garbage bags every 3-4 months. Early in the morning is the best time to go or you will be waiting in a long line for quite awhile.

This is a fairly new facility and is kept clean and clutter free. Everything works here and if there is a machine that is broken they fix it very quickly. Employees here are very friendly and willing to help.

There was so many people there because of the shut down. They could have help people count their cans on the turnbelt, but they were interested in putting the cans that were dropped off (accounts) the line was 4 people outside long. Waited over 45 minutes to get a machine.

This location is one of the best. It's clean, it's never too busy and the employees are very nice. We have to drive an hour to turn in our cans and it's worth it every time!

I like the quickness of tbe bottle drop if there was only more than one building. It gets filled up quick and it sometimes takes a while to get to turn them in. But they do the best at keeping it cleaned up.

Probably one of the cleanest facilities I have seen thus far with the bottle drops locations. It does not smell horrible, the staff is on top of things and it's ran very smooth and there is no wait time .. I was in and out within 20 mins start to finish .

The facility is fine, but sure do miss the convenience of taking cans to Fred Meyer. They had a lot more machines and much better hours. The hours of this place are terrible! Close at 6?! At least until 8 would be better for those that get off work at 5 during the week.

The workers are quite rude, some are nice, but several just don't seem to care. I stood there having problems, they suggested I move machines, had the same problem at two of the other machines as well. I go there often because it's the only one close to where I live and sense they have opened I have often had unpleasant experiences there.

Went there the other day and they had a belt down for maintenance, the woman working says it will be a 15 minute wait at most, i waited inside for an hour before I left and the woman working told every person who came in the same thing I was told. 15 minutes at most, while she refused to ask the maintenance worker for an update on how long it will be she continues to tell everyone that comes in, 15 minutes at most....

Went in one day and in the past was able to use turnabout this time was told no, the lady I bring is 80 yrs and disabled, would like to get in and out as it's very hard on her, you should be more understanding of disabled elderly folks, the man was very rude, totally uncalled for, everyone should be treated with respect. The bins, machines, floors were filthy dirty and employees just standing there, should have been cleaning.

It's just a bottle drop Place much what you would expect. Every time I've gone in whoever is working has been nice when I need something. The only downside is that they only have four bottle counters. But I think most people use the green bag drop off anyway.

Just came from the Newport recycling center and had a very hostile employee there. First my partner and i were at the machine this employee who said his name was ken strickland violated the 6 foot rule and said that one of us had to leave very rudely. My partner left and i finished. I then put a cardboard box (uncrushed) in the recycled box and was told by ken that i needed to break it down. When i pointed out the fact that there were several other boxes including a large box i was told that he didnt see it done. Next i went to wash my hands cold water only when i pointed this out ken once again was rude and said i could use the bathroom i than was banned for the day for being "difficult" when i asked for the customer complaint number and store ID when i asked again ken told me to google it. Wow...

I personally have had many friendly experiences at this particular drop site, yet I sent my daughter in for her own experience, and was met with negativity, and gruff response to her simple questions, and concerns. And then, "as we were already aware of", was promptly told that she had a limit, before she was even a second load of two bags in. Normally we are met with open arms, we do our best not to impede upon others turns, and we don't bring a truckload of bottles, and or cans. Curious attitude for a simple transaction I am guessing? Offensive personnel named; "Angelica" followed my daughter out to the parking lot, and insisted that we didn't care for our treatment, that we were welcome to "not to bother coming back", so I gave her a little bit of mind opinion, and "language" about the treatment we'd received, and told her to get away from us, in no uncertain terms.
