Cheaper to take your trash to Medford. They charged $48 for a pickup bed full of trash. No expensive items like tires or anything. It's convenient to have in Ashland and I've used it for years but it's getting so expensive.
1st timer @ Valley View Transfer Station... After having always gone to "the dump" in White City Oregon...I love being able to physically see how they actually separate reusable material from trash... I feel like most "landfills" just throw everything away... Reduce Reuse Recycle ♻️
I go every other week. The staff who work here are kind, respectful and helpful. In fact so are the other dumpers who have offered to help me unload. The prices are nothing to complain about. It beats having to put mileage on the truck and extra gas usage going to white city. Thanks valley view for all that you do!
Staff is friendly and ver helpful. The prices are excellent and very affordable. It is the best possible experience one can have at a waste processing facility.
With ever stricter regulations controlling recycled and landfill materials...transfer station staff do their best to patiently explain what can be accepted and where it goes. It's a stressful smelly noisy environment where customers resent being told No. I would like to see the loud clanking tracked vehicle operator and the metal wheeled pusher operator wearing ear protection. Ashland residents sure appreciate not having to drive to the transfer station in White City.
Hope all the staff here are well paid.
Please update your webpage and Google site. Just drove up to the transfer station to dump off yard debris and you were closed... although it says open :(. I passed four other unfortunate customers as well that didn't get the message that you are now closed on Sundays
I like the people who work up there, and considering what they do (as far as dealing with all of our consumer wastes), I think they do a remarkable job.....
Like the people, always happy to explain things and suggest ways I can spend less $$. Much easier to get there than braving the downtown Recology center, can't park, too crowded, ugh. So I bring my recycle here, along with the usual tree limbs and construction trash, broken appliances, etc.
Ashland, Oregon likes to have us believe they are the Queen of Green,
yet I had to pay $8.20 for every load of Blackberries I took there-
Not only is it free every where else in the rogue valley-
but they compost it and then sell the compost-
that is what I call double dipping-they charge you to give them something they are going to make money off of--
I hope all you Ashland residents are aware of this-its appalling
