Several stores claimed they couldn't test my ignition switch(which i KNOW that's a lie, I'm a mechanic). These guys came over very quickly, courteously, and took it over to test it right away. It took them 5 minutes to finish, but saved me so much in time, money, and anxiety!! So professional and i will be sure to come here with things I cannot complete alone. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!

The owner of this shop is amazing, we came in last second during his break from Seattle and told him we really needed someone to look at my car as we were hearing a weird noise. He immediately came to look at it and was overall so helpful

Great startup. Good honest repair shop. Been in the business for over 4 years. No BS. Quality repairs with quality parts. Fix it once and do it right. If you have an old classic car they can fix it. Daniel runs the place, Andrew is the front man. They have great technicians, with years of experience, and a great care for their customers.

These guys are wonderful. Easy to understand, thorough, and great at communicating and staying in touch. Oh, and they do great work at an amazingly reasonable price. You will be blessed!

Andrew and the crew at Over The Hill Auto are great guys with excellent service.. I had a transmission go out on me late in the afternoon as I was passing through their town on my way to Washington from California. Managed to limp my truck to their shop to have them take a look. It was an hour till close time, and I had to be to work the next morning. Andrew gave me a ride to a rental car company, agreed to look at the truck the following week and when they realized it was a bad transmission, advised it’d be best to take it to a transmission specialist.. I had a tow company pick up the truck which the guys helped facilitate the loading as I was in Washington and the truck was delivered as it was left at their shop. They didn’t charge me for their time and diagnostic which was much appreciated as i had a new transmission to buy now :/. But really I wanted to report all the guys there were super helpful and understanding of the tough spot I was in and didn’t hesitate to help me out. Old school service here at this shop, and again greatly appreciated!

I have a Volkswagen Beetle which it’s a pain to work on. Over the Hill worked with my schedule, took my car in and got it fixed in the same day! They guarantee all their work and I am impressed by their customer service. I will be taking all my vehicles there from now on.

Daniel was awesome. He explained the repairs and even showed us the worn out parts. Edit: We have returned to this shop a few times now because of problems that should have been fixed by the car lot we bought it from. The check engine light was on so he scanned the codes and it said it was a catalytic converter, so Daniel replaced it. Soon after that the light came back on and it turned out the new catalytic converter was defective. Daniel scanned it again when we picked up the car and everything was good. On our way back to Diamond Lake, the light came on again. We took it back to him and the same old code showed up again. He put another cat in and we have not had another problem since. Daniel never charged us a dime to to replace the defective parts. He has always been so professional, and his determination to make this car right is truly wonderful. Thank you so much for everything Daniel.

Absolutely the BEST automotive repair shop I've ever dealt with!!! They go above and beyond the normal operations of a repair shop. Professional, courteous, great prices and much more. I have a classic car and will only let these guys do the work. Totally trustworthy with your automobiles. I highly recommend this business. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I brought my truck into Over the Hill for a coolant leak. Had to wait a few weeks to get an appointment. Once I was able to get the truck in, they were very prompt with getting to work on it. They told me it was a coolant pump. I told them to go ahead and fix it. I was able to pick my truck up that day, which was nice. A short time later, I was filling my truck up and the attendant told me I had a coolant leak under the truck. It appeared to be in the same place as before. I took it back to Over the Hill. The head mechanic didn’t have time for me since he was taking a car to Roseburg to be worked on. He told his assistant to do a pressure test. As soon as they put pressure to it, it started leaking. I mentioned freeze plugs since I had problems with that in the past and had mentioned that when I brought it in. The assistant told me that the mechanic had mentioned that and admitted not knowing much about freeze plugs. This did not give me confidence. The assistant did not try to locate the leak. He called the mechanic who would not be back for another 20 minutes. The assistant said that his boss said it had to be a new leak. I knew this was not the case, so I took it to another mechanic. I will admit that the other mechanic had the truck longer than Over the Hill did, but they were more thorough. They thought it was the timing cover gasket. But, once they had removed enough things to get a good look, they pressure tested it again and found it was the bypass hose and tube. This leak would have very much looked like a water pump. But, the point is that Over the Hill obviously did not pressure check the system again after fixing it. I am out the price of the work and a new water pump. Lesson learned. I will not return to them again.

My stepdaughter was on the road when her oil light came on. She was many miles from home, and worried that the engine was dying. I took a chance and directed her to Over The Hill, who I found on a Google search. The tech was fantastic, took charge, and narrowed the problem down to a bad oil sensor. He replaced it and got her safely back on the road. It was so gratifying to see a potentially disastrous situation turn around so quickly. Many thanks!!

Such an amazing shop!! I was passing through and they got me taken care extremely quick!! I was really nervous about the cost of the repair when i came in, but once Ray looked up everything i was extremely surprised how cost effective this shop was!! Extremely thankful for Over The Hill Auto!!

They were great on my timing belt and water pump replacement. They went above and beyond, by finding an oil leak and fixing it for free! They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need! Will take my vehicle's there every time, they were fast, accurate and clean.

Very pleased with the service and friendless. My husband is not a mechanic but knows a lot about cars and fixes what he can. He always wants to be consulted to make sure we aren’t being scammed or ripped off in anyway. When he couldn’t be there and I took the car in they called my husband to run everything by him and kept him informed before they did anything or charged us for anything. We found them to be very fair and honest with us. Mechanic mike was very nice to me and my toddler, offering to get us a ride home so we didn’t have to wait a long time. We have taken two of our vehicles there and were happy each time and we will continue to do so in the future. Thank you guys for being awesome and great to me and my family.

So I've been to this shop twice and have had a great experience both times. I'm not a mechanic, but know my way around cars. Had Over The Hill do some brake and misc other work I didn't have time to do and everything is working great. Second time had an electrical issue and Mike spent a good 1/2 hour checking fuses and electrical system (my weak point). We looked a bunch of stuff up on his computer and decided to try a new battery (wife had left lights on and completely drained). It would not charge back up. He called NAPA for me and hooked me up for no charge knowing I could do it myself. Been a month and no more issues. Thanks for all the help Mike. Your business is a great addition to the Sutherlin community.

We have (2) vehicles which they have done mechanical work on. I find the company to be very fair, honest, with good quality work done for the price, and they do what they say there going to do. I have also found that they back up there work with no questions asked to make it right for the end consumer. Around Halloween I had this shop diagnose my vehicle, it was having a lot of issues starting. They decided I needed a new fuel pump and $718 later I think I left with one. When I was picking up my vehicle I was told that I needed to have my front wheel bearings replaced as soon as possible and that I wouldn’t make it another 200 miles without doing that. They quoted me $600 for that. Being a single mother of 3 I was a little suspicious of a mechanic shop wanting me to come back for another expensive fix after just completing one. I called another shop about my wheel bearings and they quoted me nearly half the price. I took it there and they put it up to take a look. Only to find that my wheel bearings are fine. This other shop rotated my tires free of charge and sent me on my way without charging me for any unnecessary repairs. Very honest. And on top of all this when Over the Hill auto returned my vehicle to me it was low on gas and the serpentine belt squeaky. And it has started to have the same starting issues as before. 2 stars because they did sort of fix my car and were very kind to me, but I do not think I’ll be back. Reply: Your reply to my review just further illustrates what I tried to explain to you on the phone when you called me at home, upset about the review I gave you. It is entirely irresponsible to go about diagnostic of my wheel bearings in the way that you seem to think is appropriate. You had hardly driven my car for two minutes before you very confidently told me I needed new wheel bearings. Immediately. You even printed me out a paper for the repairs quoting me at $599. Not $300-600 lol. And it wasn’t “I’m not sure if it’ll be 2000 or 200”. You very very confidently told me that I wouldn’t make it another 200 miles. Without ever looking at my bearings, apparently? I really appreciated that you were willing to help me get my kids and I home since you took multiple days to work on my vehicle. And I also appreciated that you were willing to accompany me to the bank, which was honestly more of a courtesy to you so you were comfortable with me taking my vehicle to the bank without having paid yet. I had the money for the repair but I didn’t know that my card had a $500 limit and the repair was considerably above that amount. Really, the only reason I’m suspicious about the gas is because my wheel bearings turned out to be just fine. And you were either wrong about the sound you heard or trying to scam me. After pressuring me to do the repair so heavily I find out that it wasn’t even needed?? Folks can see some evidence of that in your last line of your reply “I hope none of those wheel bearings go out with those babies in the car”. Two other mechanics looked at my wheel bearings and said the only issue was that my tires needed rotated. They did that free of charge. Pretty odd. I would hope in the future you would be more sure about repairs that need to be done before trying to pressure your customers with fear.

I have to say this is one of if not the best automotive repair facilities I have been to. They were very kind and honest about the repair work that I needed. I was traveling from Oregon back to Houston and had an urgent repair that was needed and they went above and beyond and even stayed after hours so I could get back on the road. I had stopped at two other repair shops that did not take the time to help I do not have enough kind words to say about Raymond. I was glad to be at a shop where the owner was there. They showed me what was necessary to be fixed and what could be done on my own time Thank you again over the hill auto. I will certainly recommend you to my family who is in the Roseburg area.
