This is the scrapyard we use most often. Scrap prices aren't always the best, but it's the closest scrapyard to us and the best part is that we usually end up finding something here that we can't live without and they allow us to buy it.
On July 26th I went to DeerCreek Auto Parts to purchase a rack and pinion for my vehicle. When I got there I was told it was in Michigan but it was no problem to be shipped in. $305 and a small wait? No big deal, I still purchased it. Right as I was about to walk out the door the salesman stopped me and said oh wait, that rack was broken upon inspection, so you're not going to want that. I was then refunded and sent on my way. I got curious tonight and decided to pull up car-part and what do you know...the exact same rack and pinion is listed with the same stock # pictures and all for $1250 now...now I have worked retail, I understand when prices get messed up. I was willing to spend at least $1000 that day to get the rack yet instead I was lied to about it so they could run the price up. So fair warning now, check with your local dealerships because their price they have it listed for now is only $95 less than a reman from Ford with a warranty, and I will never return to Deer Creek Auto Parts again.
My experience at Deer Creek was great. Sam that works there, helped me find the parts I needed. When I got there the parts were ready and he helped load them in my truck. Great place to go for auto or truck parts !! Low prices too !!

I love this place. I can recycle metals and get paid money across from Deer Creek and when I need a quality used part they usually have it at a third cost

Called and spoke with Jeremy Salyers to order an engine I found on Car-parts.com. Jeremy was extremely polite and so very helpful. Everything from fitment to shipping , he provided me with clear and precise details. I ended up purchasing the engine and Jeremy made the process very easy. He was quick to respond to my emails and didn't just provide me a stock answer. He actually took the time to write an original response. That is rare with sales today. Deer Creek has something good with Jeremy on staff. Once the engine arrives I will provide an update on the piece I purchased.
I was needing a starter and was going to sell them some aluminum cans and some scrap copper and brass. I ended up walking out of there with them paying me. Its awesome.
Hate to do this because they were super nice on the phone. I probably called 25 different yards for the parts that I needed and these guys were the easiest to work with. However when I had my list of parts sorted out I asked them how to pay and they said just pay when you come in. I called the next day to add some more parts to my list and found out they had sold the main thing I was needing. Ended up being a total waste of time
The equipment operator used the lift to remove some steel off our trailer and decided to just plunge the forks through our fender and rip it off. They had no accountability and made no efforts to fix what they had destroyed. Nothing like costing us money for someone else mistakes.

I buy parts on a regular basis from all over the country and I can say you won't find many salvage yards with the level of service they provide!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! We called them on 9-9-16 to see if they had the correct part that we were looking for; they said yes and it would only cost $800, so on 9-12-16 we drove 2 hours to get to this place just for them to tell my husband and I that they had already sold the part we need on 8-29-16; which didn't make any sense. Then they tried to tell us that there is no other place in the state of Ohio that have the part that we needed. I went online and found PARSONS AUTO PARTS. My husband called and they had the part. GO TO PARSONS!
